Strawberry and banana birthday cake from Imperial Bakery.

Imperial Bakery is my friend's family go to bakery for birthday cakes over the last 15 plus years. Beautiful strawberry and banana 7" cake. They said that compared to what they had purchased previously over the past 10 plus years, this recent half/half strawberry/banana cake felt drier than before. Tastewise, it was really just as fantastic. They will be back. I will drive there to pick up two slices of strawberry and banana cakes.

The cake was a hit! Imperial Bakery makes the best chocolate cake with banana filling. I sent an inspo photo and they made something very similar (cake toppers bought separately).

I just turned 37, and have had cake from this place since my first birthday! I now live in the Bay Area and anytime I visit LA, cake from this place is a must! My favorite is the vanilla cake with strawberries and bananas!

My family and I have been getting our cakes from this bakery for several years. I'm not a big fan of chocolate cakes, but this is the only place that I will eat them from! They aren't too sweet and very moist. I usually order chocolate cakes with strawberries and bananas with almonds around the cake. I also think their prices are pretty reasonable. They also have vanilla cakes but I don't really like them. (Sorry Imperial!) I have yet to try their tres leches cakes, but I've heard they're pretty good. They also have ice cream, pastries, smoothies, shakes, boba, etc. Parking: can be a little tough because it's in a plaza with other stores, but there's also parking in the back of the plaza. Thank you Imperial for your delicious cakes!

We have been coming here for many eons! My mother loved this place and so do I. My family pokes fun at me because every birthday, I want a cake from here! It's kinda out of the way from home but we make the drive anyways. I recently picked up the walnut cookies and omggg!!! They taste like pecan sandies but better!

I absolutely love this place. My dad has been buying the cakes from here since I was a baby. I just turned 32 and still the same as when I was young. Had this ordered by 9:30am and was able to pick it up same day around 3pm. Easy and fast, I paid over the phone with no problem.

It's not my favorite bakery in Little Tokyo and I'd rather get Yamazaki's nikuman and as Cafe Dulce's name implies, they have a wider range and are more known for their sweet pastries (not saying that they don't have non-sweet things). They're almost always a part of the huge collaborations that Little Tokyo has, think the Hoyo slop stuff or the crazy Silent Hill one. Lots of art on their windows and they usually have a collab drink or something. Just know that depending on how popular the collab is, and even if it isn't, this place has lines out the door and is quite fisted. Tables in front are always full of people. Drinks are hit and miss. Every latte I've gotten, even with mixing is grainy sweet coffee slop and the matcha isn't too great either (way better options in the area), but if you have a sweet tooth for pastries it's not too bad. Decadent cream donuts, mochi donuts, savory sausage donuts, and creme brulee ones too. Shareable, but something I'd need to down with milk or some water.

Once I found out there was going to be a Kuromi themed collab here I had sure to mark my calendar,…read moreso I've been looking forward to this! The collab started today and will last until the 31st. The store opens at 7am , but even though I got there around 8:30 and there was no line they still managed to sell out of a majority of the limited edition Kuromi themed pastries. Which was a little heart breaking, but also understandable. I ended up ordering the Kuromi Berry lemonade and some of their more popular items like the D Tia Blue (blueberry/cream cheese filled pastry) and the Japanini. Everything hit the spot as expected, but the highlight of my visit was definitely that berry lemonade! It had the perfect sweet to sour ratio and it looked very whimsical with its purple hue. I'll definitely be back to order that again and maybe I'll have better luck next time with the availability of the limited edition pastries. It wasn't as busy as it typically gets so took advantage of the opportunity and I dined in. During my visit I adored the Kuromi decor around the story. It was definitely picture worthy. They also have the cutest merch available for sale and of course I bought a sticker sheet to add to my sticker collection. The workers also wore pretty purple Kuromi hats and aprons, which is also included in their merch for sale fyi. If you're a Sanrio/Kuromi fan, do yourself a favor and RUN to your nearest Okayama Kobo cafe!

She took me here. The place was very clean and tidy with a lot of different types of sweet treats. I was there for one thing only. I did ask the gal working if they were made that day and she said yes. We ordered a raspberry, an orange, a coffee bean and the popular mango. This was my 2nd time trying these and our hopes were high BUT the raspberry was just awful the filling was strange and it had just raspberry jam inside,I dint eat it. The mango was okay so we shared that. The coffee bean was just awful as well so we didn't finish that either. The orange was the best of the group but overall just a disappointing experience once again because these are not cheap. I'm starting to think I might just have to give up my journey to find these although there are some places in Vegas that look promising. I don't think Reno has any bakeries that make these. They look so beautiful but the taste is a let down.

When I arrived, there were only a few mochi in the refrigerator, and the display looked sparse, almost as if only a few were left. The mochi I saw also looked quite different from the photo. I asked whether they had any others, and an employee told me they had been flash frozen and were in the freezer. She brought one out for me. I asked, "Was this made today?" and was told yes, so I bought it. I was very disappointed when I got home and cut it in half. I understand that a handmade dessert won't look exactly like a photo, but this was far from what I had expected. I called the bakery to explain my concern. The person I spoke with did not let me finish explaining and insisted, "That could never happen." She also asked why I was saying that and told me to bring the mochi back. I had gone out of my way to visit early that morning, so being told to make another trip was frustrating. The phone conversation left me more upset than the mochi itself. This was my second visit. I had also had a disappointing experience with a green onion or garlic bread on my first visit, but the Instagram photo made me want to give the bakery another chance. Unfortunately, I left disappointed again. I've attached photos so others can see the mochi I received.
