My boss and I come to the Wood River Imo's frequently. I love St. Louis style pizza. Imo's is good, but it really is the lower end of St. Louis style. Having said that, The staff is always friendly, the store is normally clean and orderly, and we usually have a positive experience. Our normal order is a Large Meat Pizza and 2 sodas. The pizza is always volcano hot and usually served in a timely manner. The only negative is the price. I get it, everything is expensive these days, but If I'm paying a premium price, I should get a premium product. A local finer dining restaurant with a much more superior quality St. Louis style pizza offers their pizza for a much lower price. I haven't had Imo's in a while so I thought I would order it. It was a long wait, which was fine. But when I got my pizza, it was cold and hard. It came with ravioli and provolone bites, and they were even cold. for the price and the wait it was not worth it. read more

We order delivery from this location once in a while. My husband really likes their pizza; me, not so much. I usually order pasta id some kind. My entire order was ruined. Ravs? Burnt. Garlic cheese bread? Well that's just garlic bread now because all the cheese was fried brown so I had to remove it. The manicotti I paid for extra cheese on?? I literately pulled back the brown burnt layer of cheese to find ZERO cheese on it. Paid for extra, got the regular amount and it is burned into a rubbery flavorless mat. This was my first time ordering from this location and I will never do it again. I understand it gets busy and mistakes happen. Delivering an entirely burned order to a customer is bad business. Remake it. Cook time is under 10 min and I already waited an hour for it anyway. read more

Imo's is a family favorite in my house. I really love that, even on a Friday night, the wait is never too long. The young crowd that they hire are always friendly and the food is always good. Although, the location makes parking kind of difficult at times. I'm always afraid someone is going to zip around the side of the building while I'm trying to back out. read more

We just moved here and had heard how good Imo's pizza is so we decided to give it a try. I called them for delivery and was told it would be 45 minutes to an hour for delivery. The business is only 1 1/2 miles from our house. The pizza arrived almost an hour later and was only slightly warm. We also ordered a Cesar salad. The lettuce was not fresh and it only had a few croutons, two red onion rings and was a huge disappointment for $5.00. I usually enjoy their large special/deluxe pizza but today we ordered two lunch specials. We had the 8" and a side salad, plus an appetizer of wings. We ordered a sandwich to go for someone at work. The pizza was bad. It tasted like they used old dough and there was very little sauce or cheese. There was a good amount of sausage. The side salad was good. They forgot our order of wings. They messed up our order for the sandwich to go. There is a slight odor when you enter building. The Bethalto Imos does not stand up to the typical imos pizza i enjoy. Do yourself a favor and go to the Imos in Godfrey or go to Romas. I ordered and XL sausage and pepperoni and topping were hard to find on the pizza. Very disapointed!!! read more

Ordered delivery (4 dollar delivery fee that does not go to the driver, really Imos?). Toasted ravioli was cold and soggy, actually the entire order was cold when it arrived. I submitted on-line order of toasted ravs and picked it up. The bag was grease soaked for some unknown reason so they put it in a new bag. Got home and the Toasted Ravioli was drenched in garlic butter. Called to report and they say they always spread garlic butter on it. I returned it (had to make another trip) and got an order with NO GARLIC BUTTER as it should be. I have gotten the same thing several times and never had garlic butter on it. I guess this is the new way they are service toasted ravioli which is disgusting. Oh, and the new marinara is like tomatoe soup. I'm sad and disgusted. Last trip to Bethalto Imos for me. read more

If I could I'd give it no stars! I absolutely love Imo's pizza but this location is absolutely terrible! We've tried getting pizza from here 6 different times the first time we ordered (which we've order the same thing everytime with one little change) the taste of STL with a pepperoni pizza. When we got it there was basically no sauce on the pizza so next time (and every time after) we order the pizza with extra sauce. BUT still came with no sauce on it, so we called and they would bring another that had the normal amount of sauce it should have which I was happy with. But this last time we called because they did it AGAIN for a fourth time and they requested the pizza back when they dropped off the new one. The new one we got was still doughy, cheese wasn't fully melted, and had at least three times the amount of sauce it should have. I tried to eat it because I love Imo's pizza so much but it was absolutely disgusting! Do not order from this place if you like Imo's because it will completely ruin it for you! read more

Every time I eat at Imo's, I am met with a smile and a good meal. While not everyone like thin crust and provel cheese, I love it! I also love their garlic bread with the provel cheese as well. Sometimes I like to order the spaghetti with meatballs. It's very good as well. If you get a chance, try their signature salad dressing. I love it so much that I bought a bottle to use at home. While it's not for everyone, you should try Imo's at least once in your life and Bethalto's Imo's is a friendly place to start. Oh, and if you don't like the cheese, they will use good ole Mozzarella if you request it. read more

I always crave St. Louis-style pizza. It's something that hasn't been able to branch out from the area. In fact, I would say it's safe to assume that Imo's could never survive outside of the St. Louis area. So many people hate provel cheese! I love it though. I'm a huge fan of Imo's pizza. I absolutely love the provel cheese they put on the pizza. I tend to get so caught up in the taste of amazing pizza that I realize I've downed half the pizza in a very short time. Very disgusting I know... but oh man is it great! The pizza's are very affordable and very delicious. Plus they deliver. Whether your visiting the St Louis area or new, I highly recommend Imo's. At least give it a try. Long wait time because our order was never submitted. We had to go up to the counter 2 times to ask about our order. Once we asked the first time if our pizzas were in the oven they said yes and gave us our salads. We finished them and waited again. We ordered the St. Louis deal over the phone told it was only going to be 30 min. We went too pick it up but ended up waiting 50 min total but hey no big deal. We got the food and drove home, which was 4 min away. We went too eat immediately too be welcomed too a ice cold pizza, undercooked ravioli. We called up too complain, we talked too a manager who told us that since we ordered a special that it wasn't guaranteed quality, as well as if we had a problem with it talk to the owner. We agreed we would come in the next day too talk with the owner and asked for his name, he hung up immediately. So as long as you don't mind not having a guarantee your food is going too be alright then this is your place.
