They messed up on our order and fixed it immediately. No fuss, just very kind and apologetic. And the pizza was delicious!

We called ahead and ordered a large two-topping to go as we were driving back to St. Louis. I'm from Va so these thin pizzas with the provel aren't something you can get in Va. They don't even have Provel outside Missouri I'm pretty sure that you can readily buy... I know I had never heard of it. My husband said this was a larger Imo's than most with tons of seating inside. Our pizza was ready as promised and was hot and fresh and delicious. My hubs always gets just cheese and hamburger, he doesn't like a lot of toppings. I love St. Louis style pizza and provel cheese. It's great! This location is right off the interstate so was easy for us to access and it was clean inside with tons of booths and seats. So, no complaints for me. Provel cheese and thin crust ain't my favorite. On our way home from a Cards game, we stopped off to try Imo's St. Louis style pizza, which is extra thin and crispy crust and provel cheese. The toppings were pretty good, but the provel will give it a unique taste The toasted raviolis were fine but impressive The service was great. The team were nice, and the food came out pretty quick. The restaurant was clean. The drink station was easy and stocked with syrup and ice for your sodas. It worked out for us on this visit. This Imo's location was pretty good and not as crowded as the one in downtown St. Louis. read more

Really good pizza! Flat bread style, with sweet and light flavored tomato sauce. The quality of the sausage and pepperoni was impressive at this price point. I didn't miss the mozzarella cheese and embrace the provolone! This really hit the spot and I'd recommend this pizza chain to all who come to visit the St Louis area! read more

I'll be honest this is not my style of pizza. You ask, what was lacking? Crust, paper thin, almost non existent. Sauce... what sauce? What sauce!! The cheese... We asked for our friend's thoughts on this place because she lives in St.Louis. Was it really the number one pizza place? She said if you are from the area, it is what the people of MO like. They use provolone cheese and it's super thin crust. We decided to try it and they delivered to our campground! We ordered the "thicker" version with pepperoni, banana peppers, green peppers and onions. We also got an order of the toasted ravioli. I thought it was fantastic. It was sauce heavy and not super cheesy. I would have eaten more, but didn't want to be miserable. Well something the Show Me State, showed me never and I mean Never to eat at this restaurant again. My son, daughter and I were on our way back home from trip to Springfield this past weekend needing something to eat to get us fueled for the last 5 hours of our trip. We kept hearing AD's and seeing billboards how good they are supposedly voted Best in STL, not sure who's been voting for that because this had to be the worst garlic bread and cheese pizza we all ever tasted. We were the only ones in the place when we ordered our food, the girl at the counter didn't seem thrilled to be there and really didn't answer our questions so we just ordered 2 garlic cheese breads and a medium cheese pizza and 3 fountain drinks. Well I think I paid too much, $28 for all this. The garlic cheese bread was a basic hoagie roll that had been slapped with very weak garlic butter and I think provolone cheese it was so soggy and under cooked best thing about it was the marinara sauce that came with it, was very savory & sweet. Our Pizza came out, very hot only good thing about it. It's a flat bread pizza, well the crust tasted like eating cardboard no flavor at all. We bit into the pizza and wow rush of processed cheese like melted Velveeta or american processed cheese, not at all what we had expected. My daughter said it reminded her of a Lunchables Pizza nuked, my son was not at all happy but he was very hungry he finished it while I choked down 2 pieces it was all I could handle. I get it some folks like this type of pizza and flavors but we do not, wishing I had said let's just get something at the Truck stop when we filled up on gas. It's different. It's not bad - just different. It's very thin and seems to have an added American cheese that reminds me of the slices you peel off the plastic. Value for money is not tremendous. Not expecting Napoli style but pizza wasn't great .. we had a vegetarian pizza and a bbq chicken one, we had asked for the vegetarian one not to be cut multiple times (Since they use the same cutter as meat pizzas) but sure enough it shows up cut. My favorite imos hands down. My wife and I drive through St Louis on our vacation once or twice a year.We drove in from OKC,OK. we love to stop at Imo's as their Pizza is fantastic and the cheese is out of this world (this coming from a chicago guy) but more often than not we are greeted with rude service, the pizza is usually on point though but the service always stinks,but if I have to choose I'd rather my food be good but this place has a winning combination. tThe two ladies that were working last evening where wonderful and treated us with great respect and also treated us like family.The place was clean with a friendly atmosphere and fast service would highly recommended if you're in the area made the start of our vacation great read more

Stayed in Sullivan one night and then Bourbon the next night due to availability. First night in Sullivan (5 miles from imo's) Imo's delivered a chef salad-no complaints, but they got my drink wrong which is simply inconvenient for me. My loss, no biggie. Now, when I tried to get the same order the next night in bourbon (8 miles from imo's) they refused to deliver . I'm not sure how wide their delivery radius is, but it's really too bad they won't deliver to a motel only 8 miles away!! I'm frustrated and hungry :( read more

This was my first time trying Imo's. Apparently, as you head down south, Imo's are as plentiful as places like Domino's and Pizza Hut are up north. As we walked in the door, we got the biggest smile from a gentleman behind the counter who seemed eager to provide great customer service to all the customers. After a fairly short wait (about 10 minutes) the order was complete. The pizza was distinct--very thin and crispy with a little sauce and cheese on top. The cheese was not plentiful but it was there and overall the pizza had a good flavor. We'd definitely go back again, if a store opened in Illinois or Indiana, just for the change once and a while. read more

On Friday I went into Imos to grab a slice and a salad for take out. I had to prepay my order and the order taker stated that they do not serve slices and my order would be ready in 25 minutes. Drove around and came back in half an hour and picked up my pie and salad. Why would they not have slices and pre made salads ready ? Salad was lackluster - salad dressing was pre packaged (chemicals) and the pizza tasted like a wrap covered with orange cheese - just one of the worst pizzas I have ever had in my life. Delivery time was very reasonable. Delivery guy was very pleasant and professional. Half way thru the pizza my husband pulled a long, dark hair out of his mouth that was tangled into his piece of pizza. Called the store and the manager was very willing to bring a replacement as quickly as possible. Unfortunately my husband didn't have the appetite for pizza anymore. Not the best pizza I have ever had for the price. The service is okay. Who ever cut out pizza did not cut it all the way. So I got to tear most of it. I love Italian food. I live for Italian food. Some people say the pizza here is a cracker or thin, but the taste is the most important part. Personally, I think the thin crust pizza is healthier than bulky dominoes. Imo's has a wide variety of foods, too. You can get Mountain Dew or a loaded pizza at any old place like Pizza Hut, but the food at Imo's is authentic. I recommend the buffalo wings! Well, there I was! Just after a horrible Surgery and unable to move until my next Dr.'s appointment? My dear Sister was out of town, my close friends were all working. Luckily, I had recorded the Great, Saint Louis Cardinals Home Game against the Washington Nationals. What a World Series we saw in 2011. That, is why they call us the Show-Me-State here in Missouri! Then, I was struck with even a more desperate situation! It was 11PM and I finally got my appetite back! Then, when a commercial came up during the Cardinals game announcing the 50 year Anniversary of the "Square Beyond Compare" I knew I had to have a Imo's Pizza-Pie! Just like I had Fifty years ago, when Edward and Margie Imo, the founders, opened their first Parlor. I was hooked after my first bite! So, I just dialed (by Memory) my neighborhood Imo's Pizza Parlor, and knowing it was late, I was thinking no way! Too my surprise the Manager of 27 years David F. answered the phone. We are down one driver Mr. Licata, and she is on a delivery because we are getting ready to close. Please hold one minute, his assistant, Michael L. was preparing to close after their last delivery. He said to his manager, I will take Mr. Licata whatever he orders, in his condition. Of course Michael his boss sent him with my order! They knew exactly where I was because of my 12 years of enjoying their delicious and famous thin crust Pizza in that stores area!
