He interrogated me instead of waiting behind the counter like normal staff. Lost Sale: I was ready to buy a pistol today. The aggressive behavior made me completely uncomfortable and ruined the sale. What a hidden gem! i had tried to sell some tack on marketplace and kept dealing with no shows. I put a few things on consignment there last month and have already received two payouts. Their wine selection and prices were also top notch. The owner really took the time to listen to what we liked, gave us some wine recommendations and offered a free tasting. Hello everybody, I…read morehaven't posted on here for a while but I would just like to stop by and do a little review on the company called Mako Spearguns and its owner Dano. I have been dealing with this company multiple times over the last two months after my initial purchase of a Mako Iconic 120 cm gun with twin 16mm bands. I will start with the bad first which isn't really that bad in comparison to what Dano has done for me. Upon receiving the gun itself I was stoked. The gun has amazingly solid construction to other rail guns that I have looked at and used. The Iconic barrel is By far the beefiest I have ever seen. It feels great in your hands and in the water it is not nearly as cumbersome as people told me it would be for any kind of reef hunting. The twin 16mm has amazing power can put the shaft through any fish I have come across. Anyways, I digress. After using the gun a couple times the line release, safety and trigger mechanism began acting up. Sometimes if pressure was put on the trigger while the safety was on, upon releasing the safety the spear would fire. I was putting some good pressure on the trigger sometimes when I got excited and forgot the safety was on. At any rate, this still did not make me happy. I took apart the trigger mech and still had the same problems. Then at some point after some use the spear had begun to rip away and gash at the line tabs in the muzzle. This made the line placement tabs or whatever you want to call them pretty useless to me without further modification. I was pretty tweaked after waiting the five days for the gun then after using it, it was not performing to my standards. So I called and emailed Dano and he immediately responded to me and called me to see what the problem was. I explained to him the above in an email and the next day or so I received another gun. The gun that was shipped to me was by mistake the wrong one. So again I talked to Dano who cares so much about my situation he says you know what I am going to ship you two new guns and send me back the others. I was so very happy that people still exist like him. Not only was I so fortunate to be dealing with Dano in this situation because most people would turn their noses up and be shitty. The guns that he sent me have new and improved muzzles with metal line tabs on the muzzle, the handle and trigger mechs have worked flawlessly. Again on the new muzzle it has tabs both sides for left and right handed people. Also these are spaced far enough apart that even with braided line or cable you do not run the risk of damaging the muzzle. Also he sent me the new and improved Fiberglass infused handle which hasn't even come out yet. These guns are amazing quality for the price and are also available on a payment plan for poor people like me to enjoy this wonderful sport. I have been using this gun for the last two months and I like it much better than a mid handled gun or wood gun. They are really maneuverable in the water and shoot like a friggin lazer. I have since pulled many many fish with my two guns and have also now been able to take a friend with me. I am completely satisfied with his level of service and will continue to refer him friends and acquaintances looking to invest in the sport. Quality and customer service comes first with Mr. Dano. Look no further than MAKO SPEARGUNS. I also have received from them the weight belt, Molokai knife, and float line which all work flawlessly. Chris San Diego
