Very friendly store, no hard sales pressure. Professional, and very knowledgeable staff. The young man who served me was a Marine Corps veteran, and this is a shop started by and owned by veterans, so a preferred place to get my firearms. It's not an enormous space, shared with an engraving shop, but unlike others, I don't see a need to expand beyond what they currently offer. Expansion without guaranteed growth in sales is the number one reason small businesses die. Keep doing what you are doing, and serving your clientele well, and you will grow when it is the right time to do so. Thanks for a great experience. read more

This place is so unique and great! Half the store is a sewing shop and the other half is an armory. We swung by here to check to see if they had any ammo on our way down for work. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They also had ammo! They had average market price for generics and name brands were a few cents higher per round. They limit how much each person can buy at a time. You can call ahead or stop in. Overall - the staff was friendly and helpful. The shop was unique and clean and they had what we were looking for. I would say this is a great little shop, you should def check out if you are in warrenton! read more

Had a legit experience while buying here. As mentioned in another review, it's split with a quilting store. I guess if you like bullets and your partner likes fabric, it's great. Shrugs. To me it seems cramped and I think both sides could expand their separate offering. It seems like they have a loyal base bc every time I've been in I've had to wait. Not a bad thing but it's not a quick in and out so far. Not sure if that is a gun thing in general, like are you supposed to meander? I went here based off a recommendation from my barber. read more

I RARELY leave negative reviews, however, I feel this one is completely necessary. I purchased a very expensive gun from Gunbroker, and the seller used High Flyer to ship it. I told the seller I was moving in a couple weeks and asked him to pass on that information to High Flyer, which he did, so they could ensure it was shipped quickly. The seller dropped it off on a Saturday, so it could go out Monday. On Monday I was told there was an issue with my FFLs (the one I was having it shipped to) address. I've had dozens of guns shipped to this particular FFL and never had an issue before. My FFL was able to get ahold of them on Monday and get the issue resolved and was told it would ship. On Saturday it still hadn't nor had High Flyer provided the seller with a tracking number like they said they would. I called High Flyer on Saturday and was told they were very busy, which I get it was a holiday weekend, but was told they would call me back soon with a tracking number. Never heard back. Monday I called the seller who got in contact with High Flyer and was told IT HADN'T SHIPPED yet. I was extremely frustrated since I was leaving Friday morning for a move to another state. Either way, there was time so High Flyer said he would have it out that day and it would be there before I left. To top it off, the tracking number they provided apparently was never scanned, so the Seller had to contact the post office and was told the firearm was on its way and would be there FRIDAY. To say I'm frustrated with High Flyer would be an understatement. Unprofessional and no excuse for this. Avoid this gun store! Thankfully the seller from GB has been on top of it and I don't blame him for this mishap at all. read more

I've transferred several guns and bought a gun while in there along with ammo and some other accessories. Dave and several of the other guys have always been fantastic! What I consider a good gun store is friendly helpful staff that's not pushy. I may want to look around, I may have a question, and this place is a diamond in the rough. They will allow you to look around, they will help when your ready without a wait. Their prices are as good as anywhere around if not a little lower on most items, they have an ever expanding inventory, and again the customer service is one legends are made of. If you appreciate small town quality service that feels like friends helping friends then I suggest you make your way to old town and visit this place. read more

Friendly customer service, knowleageable staff, no high pressure sales, competent gunsmith in-house if you just want something fixed or installed without a lot of DIY hassle. They are the best option I've found for anything to do with silencers or other NFA items requiring a tax-stamp from the ATF, both for their "easy button" kiosk for doing the paperwork and John's extensive technical knowledge. read more

I hate to speak I'll of local gun stores, but High Flyer Arms' prices are just insanely high. Even with the 2020 panic buying and supply shortages taken into consideration, their ammo prices are ridiculously high, and I've never seen a good deal on a gun there. It's a shame because before they moved into their current spot, when they were across the street in their smaller shop they had at least reasonable prices even though their selection was smaller. read more

My wife and I needed to complete all of the ATF paperwork for our recent suppressor purchase from the Silencer Shop. We decided to use Highflyer Arms as our FFL transfer for this as they are already in their system and close by. We stopped in late one afternoon and a very nice gentleman at the counter helped us use the kiosk. He was very knowledgeable, patient and helpful as I was having trouble with my finger prints. For some reason my wife breezed right through it. Thanks to his excellent customer service we were able to get everything done and submitted. I would not hesitate to shop here and I cannot recommend these folks enough. I encourage you to give them a visit. In regards to the phone, if they don't answer, just leave a message and they will call you back. That's exactly what I did. If they don't pick up the phone it just means that they are probably busy or helping a simpleton like me. :-) read more
