Reading the other reviews here, that appears to be routine rather than an off day. But that is not why I am writing this. I filled out a form containing my Social Security number, date of birth, and home address. It was left sitting out on an open counter, unattended. From across the store I saw another customer standing over it with his phone out, camera pointed down at my form. I walked over and took it back myself. No employee noticed any of it -- not the form sitting there, and not the stranger leaning over it. I don't know whether he photographed my information. Neither does this store, and that is exactly the problem. If I hadn't looked up when I did, everything needed to open credit in my name could have walked out the door and no one here would have known it happened. Worth noting: ATF states that the Social Security number on a 4473 is optional. This store collected mine anyway and then failed to secure it. Protecting a Social Security number isn't customer service. It's the baseline obligation a business takes on the moment it asks for one. I was willing to walk away and leave it there. Because this location has shown no willingness to address the situation at all, I have filed a complaint with the Virginia Attorney General's Consumer Protection Section and I am consulting an attorney about legal action. If you do business here, keep your own paperwork in your hands. Do not assume anyone behind the counter is watching it.

Hearing about this place from the manager at Sharpshooters in Springfield I figured I'd give it a try. It was more than worth the trip for multiple reasons. They have a beautiful selection of firearms, accessories, and other trinkets and for very reasonable prices might I add. Getting down to the nitty gritty, the range experience was phenomenal and my dad and I felt extremely welcomed and respected. The range operation is solid and reasonable but what really topped things off for me was the staff. From entering the store and getting a breakdown of range rules to being out on the range and getting guidance from the RSO's. I want to give a huge shoutout to Alan and I believe his name was Jake (forgive me if I got it wrong) but it was a younger guy who used to be a deputy. Both of them were awesome man. Jake helped me sight in my pistol I've been struggling to zero and he gave me tips and pointers genuinely. Alan did the same but for my new rifle scope and was really thorough and genuinely as well. That's something I really appreciated and took into consideration while being there. I won't sit here and say I'm a know it all and if there's something I don't know I'll say that. I wasn't looked at like I was dumb, instead I was helped out and taught well. High regards for this range and I'm really glad I have the opportunity to get out to this range when I can.

As I understand it they left to start up their own shop and opened up in King George about 6 months ago. I had an M&P Shield that I wanted to install new sights and an APEX trigger kit in and they did marvelous work as always, with a quick turn-around time (just a couple days) and now the gun shoots beautifully. When I stopped by to pick it up I noticed a couple other things they were working on and was most impressed by Louie's skill with duracoat. He was refinishing another customer's handgun in an impressively detailed camo pattern using about 4 different colors. The shop is located in a large garage in a residential neighborhood as opposed to a storefront in a strip mall (they have no retail space at the moment BUT can order almost any firearm you are looking for and they do transfers as well). In just the relatively short span of a couple months they have also set up accounts with the major firearm retailers in their area (where you can drop off whatever you need worked on at the store and pick it up there when it is done) and are looking to expand their services from King George to the DC metro area (Manassas, Centreville, Woodbridge, etc) so will be able to drop off your firearm at your local store and pick it up from the same store as opposed to driving to their shop if you chose. I know these guys by reputation as they have worked on several of my guns before and each and every time they exceeded my expectations. I HIGHLY recommend them for any work you need done.

They looked in the back, called the other location and could not find the other shoe. Ended up buying a different pair, a week later I got a phone call (mind you I didn't specifically leave a number they just have me in the system for rewards) saying they had located the other shoe and would I like them to hold for us? When April finished with her customer she began the process for fitting my with a backpack. This process which included measuring her torso, what type of backpacking it was for day hikes or multiple day/night trips, types of weather, trying on multiple packs (with weigjts in the pack) took approximately 40 minutes, maybe more, but it was such a pleasant experience, it only seemed like minutes. My wife and April found the perfect pack but since it was not in the color my wife wanted, April placed in on order. We'll return in a day or two, try it on again and walk out with an early Christmas present for my wife we will now be able to share and enjoy many more years of backpacking together with a comfortable backpack.
