We returned this past weekend to move our Ole into the dorms and had to return to Tanzenwald with our whole family. Again, we were delighted by all the same things as before. The Brussels sprouts are the best ever, the Reuben fries, the Ahi tacos, and the fried cheese curds made everyone in our party happy. The beer was perfect-it was maybe called Trivial Pursuit (something like that). Yum. We might actually go one more time before we head back to CA.

Everything was cooked perfectly and was better than what I had expected. The service was alright. We went in mid-day and there were 4 people behind the bar. 1 person (our server) seemed to be the only one running around to all the tables, and pouring all the beers. We had asked for our bill and waited an additional 20 mins as our server seemed to be behind the pouring of beer... yet the other stood around and conversed. That was the only area of improvement. We'd go back and give it a shot though!

I think I'm right, I mean, it's built in a little ole country CHURCH! Being Catholic, I figured what the heck (the Pope says we can boogie!). Turns out, this place is great! Good solid beers with a great selection. My wife had a nut brown that was really solid (I'm her taster) and I tried a couple of their IPA's. Both were as good as any I've had. The interior is tiny with only a few tables. They have an attached shaded deck and some garden tables out on a low maintenance garden style lawn so there is plenty of seating. The clientele seemed laid back and friendly. The bartender (or Pastor?) was knowledgeable and friendly. If you're in Dundas and in need of a hoppy blessing, give Chapel Brewing a try. You'll be a better person.

He discussed his training and experience and it was rather amazing. We also happened to stop in on one of the Thursday evening that they had an "experimental" night where they showcased an experimental brew. One of my favorites so far was "Almond Joy"... where the beer tasted like an Almond Joy. It was awesome! This place is such a cute little place, quaint, and just such a cozy relaxing place to come, chill, and enjoy an amazing brew. Tracy is one of the owners and is such a nice person who is forever grateful to all patrons who stop by and support her business. Her personality and conversational attributes have made me spend many more hours in the Chapel than I ever would have imagined. Because of her and her amazing staff, they are the reason I return weekly, if not a couple times per week to support and enjoy!

I've tried several beers over my visits, none have been bad but none have really stood out. By no means a bad thing I've just been a little underwhelmed so when I come to town I don't plan it around their open hours so I can stop in. Definitely worth a try. Not a far drive from the cities or to break up a Rochester drive. Cheers

As for the coffee, I tried the carrot cake latte as per baristas recommendation and was really good! I got a 12 oz with an extra shot because I like my coffee flavor strong and it was perfect. The espresso has a bit of that bitter taste so if that's not what you like this probably isn't the coffee for you. My only reason for 4 stars is the price. My coffee was 8.92 with no tip so I paid $10 for a 2 shot drink today. I hope that once they have been running the coffee part for a while that the price can come down at least a dollar. Most extra shots are about 75 cents to 1 dollar at other coffee shops whereas it's 1.25 here. Will be back to try other specialty items!
