This is an immersive show based on Van Gogh's work. You go into a large room with numerous projectors that show on the walls and on the floor. Each loop lasts about 30 minutes, we sat for an hour. It's amazing. Benches are limited and this is a popular exhibit, so bring your own collapsible chair if you want to sit.

Such an amazing experience. I recommend grabbing tickets if you can or check it out at a city near you. Plenty of parking and easy check in. We took advantage of the coat check which was a really nice option. We spent roughly an hour at the exhibit. The exhibit loops and you can move around, stand, sit, or just stay in one place. There were even some folks laid out on the floor. I found myself watching the exhibit and rotating and changing angles to take in the entire exhibit. We sat through about a loop and a half. After the main room you exit out to the gift shop. I passed on the souvenirs after I saw the $45.99 water bottle and the $29.99 journal but there were some lower priced items as well. It was a wonderful evening and so glad we got to go to this experience. My partner said "At times it was literally breathtaking. It's almost like being inside a dream". And it was.

I kind of agree with the low star reviews below about over pricing and the lack of a true 'immersive experience' but I still rate my experience highly-- call it YMMV--your milage may very. I for one am very visually inclined and prone to be easily inspired, especially with the colorful works of one of my favorite artist, the troubled and sacred Vincent Van Gogh. The concept of an immersive experience does have some promise once technology advances; I can envision the upcoming metaverse, VR goggles, being employed to put you in the scenes of late 19th century Paris, southern France, Holland, in a cafe drinking Absinthe, out in a fields of Sunflowers, eating hot potatoes pulled from the earth by cracked, hard hand, in the night with bright stars reflecting in dark waters at a pier, sharing a drink with a frowning prostitute, in the glow of a rising sun among wheat farmers, among lili pads, among phallic flowers, among peasantry, among blue irises, chatting with a skeleton smoking a cigarette. In fact at times they pulled it off like when impasto paint blotches fell like rain made me cover my head--more like that and they would had been on the mark. The music accompaniment was as awesome, complimentary to the scenes, and diverse in style. One scene comprising of several of the Dutch's landscape paintings that depicted morning, dissolving into afternoon, into evening, and succumbing to European night while the giant yellow Van Goghing sun moved across the ecliptic from glorious sunrise to beautiful sunset featured the heavenly voice of Edith Piaf singing Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien ( No, I do not regret anything) and gave me a sublime feeling; the nature of the universe and its greatness missed in the everyday, the miracle of life all around, in its simplicity and ultimate truth in beauty. It was transcendental. Many pieces were arranged by Italian composer Luca Lungobardi--his Narcissus, a piano piece, is haunting. Also contributing is Thom Yorke of Radiohead, Meiko Kaji's Urami Bushi from Kill Bill movie, among others. One warning: some scenes can invoke a sense of vertigo, which if you suffer from a motion disorder like I do, may effect you. Though I got out unscathed, just beware. Though it is kind of fitting since Van Gogh may have suffered from Menieres disease. Also the music can be loud, so the sensitive of hearing might want to stay away-- I know at times I wanted to cut my ear off. ( yeah I went there!) All in all I liked it. It is a newish concept so look for it to get better. Paying a bit more now will justify advancements--you always pay more for less when something is new. it is also a great date idea.

Not as "immersive" as I expected; Although, I'm sure if I'd brought my infant with me they'd have been much more immersed in the visuals than I ever could be. The editing was great though! I like Van Gogh, and I like animation. My husband bought these tickets as part of us dating and celebrating our engagement anniversary. We sat and observed three loops of the 'immersion', it was entertaining, and it probably would've been cooler if we were also drawing or painting along with it but that's my opinion. I need physical stimuli along with visual. This is a visual and auditory heavy immersion. Social distancing is respected, and people are required to wear masks. Seemed kid friendly for the most part. We got cute little enamel souvenir magnets for our house and to remember the experience. The gift shop is the best put together part of the entire thing.

Having heard about these types of shows, we were quite curious to check out Immersive Van Gogh when it arrived. It's an intriguing concept: a variety of Van Gogh's works are put together into a sort of "movie" that is projected all around, sometimes even coming across the floor. The movie cycle was about 35 minutes long and runs on a continuous loop while the exhibit is open. Works flow together, gradually appearing and disappearing. It is set to music, with no commentary. The space changes based on location. At this one, it was a single, large rectangular room, with a main entrance and exit with curtains opposite one another, a staff member attending each one. Circles outline spots spaced out across the floor, some containing benches and others empty to stand or sit with a cushion for a separate fee. There were also some additional touches at the entry and exit points, including murals, art pieces, and quotes from Van Gogh. There's an especially beautiful mural and quote located near the restroom area. The movie itself was beautiful and interesting to watch. We ended up watching it twice. A familiarity with Van Gogh's work can be helpful, since there is no information provided during the show, but it could also be approached as an introduction to make you curious to learn more about the works later. As someone who has had a long term interest in Van Gogh's works, I enjoyed guessing what was coming next based on the colors and strokes that appeared on the walls. Of course, there is a gift shop to exit through. The staff we interacted with were all very friendly, from the individual conducting security checks at the entrance to those explaining how it worked. There is a decent sized parking lot available too. One improvement that would be great is if they had more options at a lower price point - it was a bit pricey even for the "basic" option.

My husband bought these tickets for Christmas. I have loved Van Gogh for decades, so I was excited! As others have said, the experience was not at all what I expected. It's advertised as "immersive" but mostly it was just like watching a video projected on the wall. Occasionally the floor was part of the art, too. It does seem they have added a lot more benches since some of the other reviews. Basically only the circles right by the wall didn't have a bench. I still recommend bringing a cushion as the bench was not at all comfortable. The room was full when we were there, but most people had a place to sit. It's one large room, and the wall and sometimes floor are part of the art. And yes, people are coming and going as they please. The greeter recommended the corner to us, and I guess that's why. We were less disturbed over there. We watched through it once looking out at the whole room from the corner and then the second time through we turned to face the corner. Two completely different experiences. It was a neat presentation with great music. It was fun to watch the paintings move. As others have said, way overpriced!! We went at an off peak time to keep the price down, but a $15 fee Per Ticket to book online still made the whole experience $100 for two of us. For an hour of watching moving paintings set to music. For comparison, a two to three hour movie costs about $15, spending as long as you want at an art museum costs about $20, and tickets to the Columbus symphony cost $20-$60 depending on the specific event and where you sit. This event is comparable to all of those and none of those, but I think that's why it feels like a $15-20 price point is about right. Especially since you aren't guaranteed a specific seat, good or bad, bench or floor. There was a BOGO deal in November that we missed out on while trying to determine a date that we could go. I'm not sure if we still would have paid the $15 fee per ticket, but it would have seemed like a better price point at half off. I don't have any idea how much it costs to create this experience or how much the overhead in that building is, but to the consumer the price just seems very high. And the gift shop is way overpriced as well. We literally stood there and checked amazon, and we could save at least 75% off the top by waiting a couple days to have items shipped to us. So, here's the bottom line. I am glad I got to experience this show because I just love Van Gogh so much. I also saw paintings in the show that I wasn't familiar with, which was cool. The moving art set to music was a novel experience. If you can just ignore how much it cost, it is enjoyable.

Mixed feelings, mostly negative. I took my son for his birthday. We spent maybe 45 minutes there from start to finish. Way overpriced. As other have said, it's a 35 minute film and you have to sit on the floor, unless you paid for the upgrade which included a cushion, or you were lucky enough to snag one of the few benches. Loved the film and soundtrack. It's beautiful, vibrant, and magical. What I did not love was the vertigo that it gave me. I was messed up for hours. I didn't recall seeing any warnings about possible vertigo, but maybe I just overlooked it. Also, people coming and going as they pleased totally ruined the experience for anyone sitting near those doors. They either need to create an entrance/exit that will not allow any light in, or only allow folks to enter and leave at the end of the loop. I also hated that people were permitted to lean against the walls, which also interfered with the experience for everyone else. I guess I was expecting more from this exhibit. I thought there would be additional information about the works and the artist. I also thought there would be multiple rooms to visit. When we stepped out of the space, I was so surprised that there was nothing else to see, save the overpriced gift shop. I wish I had thought to check Yelp before booking this experience! In my opinion, tickets for this event should be no more than $20 each. What they are charging is highway robbery at its finest!

I couldn't decide between a 3 or 4 star review. It's beautiful, because the artwork is beautiful. For the most part, the music selection was spot on, and I was thrilled that it wasn't a history lesson. But my MIL paid $50 for us to sit on the floor and watch a 30 minute light show where people were walking in and out and distrusting the experience. That's insane. I probably would have loved it if the tickets were $10. Yes, you can stay as long as you want, but it's not like the show changes. I don't know, I wouldn't go out of your way to attend. I would rather see the paintings in person.

This is a must see event! It's only in Columbus until February 6th, so get those tickets asap! It's definitely something for all ages, my 10 year old son loved it as well. It really feels like you're in Van Gogh's paintings! The loop is 35 minutes, we had the flex ticket so we were able to stay past that time, there's floor and bench seating, masks are required and it's easy to space out. You can take pictures and there's lots of opportunities to do that inside the room and throughout the venue. There's plenty of parking and a coat check! We loved it!

What a great experience. My son bought us tickets for my birthday. At first it wasn't what we expected but enjoyed it very much. All of the staff was extremely friendly and the space was very clean and gave lots of room to move about.

The experience itself was nice. Interesting. But it is in NO WAY worth $65 per person. Not even close. I would pay max $30. Max.

I thought that there would be different rooms for different paintings, but instead, it's a 35-minute film on a loop in a giant rectangular space.
