We were going around in circles because I was trying to tell her I was told to come back but she would not stop talking over me. Seems like out of spite I was charged a strep throat test I never agreed to. My son had a cough for almost a month. It was mild but yet wouldn't go away. Something told me to go somewhere else when I saw that the kiosk wasn't functioning. I did not want to drive out to Oak Park so I decided to stay but that was a bad idea. The idiot who performed the strep throat test was way too rough that ended up hurting my sons throat. He said the pain got worse because he described the pain as a lump in his throat. We walked out with a service that we did not need and in a worse condition. I tried to dispute it with minute clinic but it seems like I'm stuck with the bill because I've been waiting for them to remove it but nothing seems to be done.

The young lady at the front desk has been completely rude since I came back. I have been nice to her but she is probably one of the reasons the place has bad ratings because the other front desk worker and doctor seemed nice. They need to get organized. Every time I go to Burr Ridge I remember about two years ago when a very insightful ENT MD…read morelistened and hypothesized my headaches/ Vertigo/balance issues were the result of Vestibular Migraines. Dr. Z asked me if I wanted to proceed with an Rx that would help if she was correct. Of course she was! We were conservative and she started with a baseline dose of 10 MG. Even 10 MG. made a difference, and at two follow up appts. she systematically increased the dosage to my maintenance level of 40 MG. I realized she could have set me up from Day One with a higher dose, even 50 MG. Capsules since taking, 1, 2, or 4 capsules at bedtime might be viewed by some as inconvenient- but her assessment and insight was right on target and the Vertigo and Migraines have been kept in check without dosing me at higher than necessary levels. I no longer have to pause and grab a wall due to Vertigo, and my ( previously untreated) Migraines are vastly improved. I now can see her once a year since I know if anything comes up I can send her/her team a message on MyLoyola to sanity check any issues. YAY!

The staff has always been cordial and accommodating. They do their best to get you in when needed but patients need to be flexible as well. For example, someone needs an appointment ASAP but when given the option of the next day they say 'no that won't work". I hear that all the time! and then the patient gets mad about no appointment options! It does stink that the doctors rotate every few years. But the new residents are always energetic and happy to help you. This is a good medical practice, much better managed then others. Keep up the good work HFMC doctors, nurses and staff! And yes, they do have social workers and counselors that will see you for free as many times as needed!
