Chicken pad thai with tofu, chicken and no bean sprouts. Flavors were amazing and not leaving. I want more of it.

Wanted to try a new Thai place that was closer to me & I remembered this place I've seen a few times I've drove by. Stopped by here for dinner with a friend. We ordered the yellow curry with chicken and tofu, pad garlic and pepper with chicken, the coconut prawns, & I ordered their Thai iced tea. The two entrees came with their own bowl of rice Service was good, the server took our order quickly & kept coming back often to check on us & refill our waters. Food came out in a timely manner, fresh & hot. The restaurant has that small mom and pop shop feel. They have tables with chairs, booths, and some longer tables for those big parties. All the food was good! We loved the coconut prawns, they were a perfect balance of coconut & tempura. I hate when the coconut overpowers the shrimp & all you can taste is coconut but the ones they served us were great! Pad garlic & pepper was yummy & so was the yellow curry. I love getting chicken & tofu with my curries. The Thai tea however was not that yummy, I love Thai tea & have had it at many places but I think this one was the worst I've had. I think the ratio of tea to creamer is what made it taste so bad to me. There was too much creamer & that Thai tea flavor did not come thru enough for me. Overall, this place was good but not good enough that I was blown away. They make good traditional Thai dishes. Will definitely return to see to try their satay & pad Thai.

We had chicken pad Thai (mild), Pao kee mao (mild) and spicy papaya salad. Everything was very flavorful and spicy how I like it. We order for takeout a for was ready in 15mins. Will definitely be coming back!

Strip mall food is usually hit or miss and this place didn't meet the mark. The inside is spacious and they have a cool fire place. The service was great and everyone was friendly. The prices are on par with other local Thai places. The food was just meh. The egg rolls are frozen and it tastes like it. Even though they were cooked they still had some soggy bits. The sweet and sour sauce that came with them was good. The chicken pad Thai was way too saucy and had very little flavor. The portions were pretty generous though.

Service was quick and the meal was great . We got some pad Thai and the steak and both were cooked well. Would stop here again to try some of the other dishes

The service is a tad slow, but the food makes up for it! Come here if you're not in a hurry. Very quiet/cute dining room with all the typical Thai food offerings. Pad Thai, pad see ew, etc. I am addicted to their Khao Soi. The crispy noodles goes nicely with the curry broth. They also make cocktails here with prices from 2005. Real cheap and very strong!

Great restaurant. Large portions. Pad Thai was always sweet to perfection but the last time I went, it seemed off. I had the chicken wings once and i don't know if they marinated the chicken in peanut sauce too but it had like a peanut taste. I did not expected the Larb to be crunchy. I was hoping more of grilled beef or a grounded beef that wasn't so crunchy like but if you prefer crunchy Larb then this is the place. I would recommend this place. Friendly workers and cleaned environment.

This place is very underrated and doesn't get enough recognition. I came here and got three dishes for DINNER. Usually Thai places have specials for lunch which means lower prices. ImmDee just has low prices all around. For the three dishes, it was under 40 dollars. The Pad Kee Mao was very light, but packed a punch. I really enjoyed it without feeling bloated or heavy afterwards. The papaya salad was so spicy, but I couldn't stop eating it. Every time I took a bite and swallowed, my mouth would keep salivating until I ate more. It was a perfect balance of sweet, spicy, salty, and sour. The Khao Soy is a new one that I usually don't get, but now I will be getting it. I literally don't even know how to explain it, but you get soup, noodles, crunchy noodles, and they give you a plate of toppings to throw in as well. It is very savory, so I definitely recommend adding in the toppings they give you. I love this place and the people who run it. Everyone is always friendly and treats us like family.

Because I will be back. We started off strong with a table full of appetizers. It was one of those "everyone grab something" moments, and listen... I had been up since 6am, starving, and completely forgot to take pictures until it was basically too late. But trust me, that alone should tell you how good it was. Crab puffs? Gone. Creamy, crispy perfection. Fried spring rolls? Devoured without hesitation. But that salt and pepper shrimp?? LISTEN. It tasted like somebody's grandma was in the back cooking with love. I could've eaten that as my full meal 10 times over and still asked for more. Then came the angel wings... OMG. At this point I was already full, borderline mad about it, because I wanted to keep eating. And I'm not usually a leftovers person....but these? Plus that one last shrimp sitting there? Oh no... they came home with me. And the best part? EVERYONE loved their food. No misses at the table. If you're debating, don't. Just go. And go hungry.

We came on Friday, 9/25, with my parents and my son, hoping to enjoy some fried rice and a nice meal together. We were seated quickly, and the restaurant was not busy. Ken took our order, but from the beginning, his attitude toward us felt unwelcoming. I noticed that he seemed much friendlier and more welcoming toward other customers, which made me uncomfortable and left me wondering if we were being treated differently because we are Asian. I tried to ignore it because we were hungry and just wanted to enjoy our meal. However, my son then told me that he did not like the taste of the complimentary water. As a mother, I went back to our rental car and brought in a half-full bottle of Smartwater that we already had with us. When I came back into the restaurant, Ken rudely told me, in front of other customers, that outside drinks were not allowed. I explained that my son did not like the taste of the water they provided, but Ken insisted that we purchase a drink from the restaurant. I also pointed out that there was no sign on the entrance or anywhere that we could see stating that outside drinks were not allowed. Even if this is the restaurant's policy, it could have been communicated politely and respectfully. What bothered me most was not the policy itself, but the way I was treated. I felt singled out and embarrassed in front of other customers. I also noticed that Ken appeared much warmer and friendlier toward customers of other ethnicities, which made the experience even more uncomfortable for my family. Ken, if you are the owner or manager, I hope you take this experience seriously and remind your staff that every customer deserves to be treated with the same respect and courtesy, regardless of their background or appearance. You never know what someone may already be going through, and a little kindness can make a big difference. The other employees we interacted with were much nicer and welcoming. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I would rather support other local restaurants when visiting Portland. I have also attached photos showing that there was no visible notice at the entrance regarding a no-outside-drinks policy. I still gave him a 15% tip coz my family and I are not like that.

I recently had a pretty good experience at the Esan Thai food cart with the pineapple curry with chicken. After spending several days hanging out with my cousin who is "just not a curry person," I needed to have some good curry. Ideally, Thai food is best when shared with enough people to order curry, Pad Thai, fried rice, Satay, and dessert, but, if I had to pick just one thing, it's always curry. This cart had a wide selection of all my favorite curries, including pineapple, green, red, yellow, massaman, and panaeng, so it was hard to choose, but I ultimately went with pineapple. For $15, I thought the portion of curry was decent enough (about a quart), although the side of rice was only about half a cup. Still, I was able to make it work by letting the rice soak in the curry for several minutes before eating it. The fish sauce flavor was barely discernable, which is how I like it. I only really noticed it on one particular basil leaf. The chicken was perfectly cooked and marinated in the curry. The vegetables were fresh and delicious, but I just wished there was more of them. Customer service was friendly but not over the top friendly. It only took about six or seven minutes for my order to be ready. Overall this is the most legit Thai food spot I've found in the area so far, so I would definitely stop by again to try some of their other curries.
