Tina took almost 40 minutes to consult with me first about her holistic approach to resolving acne due to the various types and the many lifestyle and genetic factors that go into causation. I really respected her expertise and passion. She was very honest about needing the affected person to commit to the regime and that the motivation has to be theirs, not mine. She wanted to temper expectations so that I did not waste a lot of money, time and stress over this "gift" of a facial or series of facials (or so I thought). I was very surprised that she spent so much time with me, answering questions when it wasn't making her any money. In the end I totally believe in her process, but I also am convinced that it would be too much for my son to commit to since he's laissez faire about his complexion and won't be motivated enough to see this out for months and years. Things are quite different now. Anyhow, I was referred to Nita by a work friend for jaw clenching related headaches. I was super nervous and reluctant bc I'm scared of needles. So a whole group of us went together bc we were all scared. This was pre-pandemic of course. Anyhow Nita was so patient with our nervous yammering, our jumpiness. She even had relaxation tools for the really tense ones. And after that we were all so happy with the results that now we are all repeat clients and are big girls that can go on our own. In addition to the jaw injections I decided in for a penny in for a pound and got my forehead done too. A dermatologist in Korea had recommended I get my forehead done several years ago to prevent my wrinkles from setting in. I wish I had done it back then. Nita does a terrific job, uses the tiniest of needles, is gentle, lovely and has a less-is-more philosophy to her approach. Jaw muscle injections have helped soooo much with my clenching and teeth grinding. I am hoping to stave off getting a crown for my cracked molar. They're the first I've ever heard of where referrals from primary dr. expired even after you've become a regular patient already. Person that called to reschedule my appointment today said they didn't have an appt. for my husband, only for me. I tried to explain that on our last visit, Dr Fancher asked receptionist to book my husband and I together. Which turns out that wasn't done. Receptionist kept interrupting while I was explaining that husband recently renewed his referral. She said they haven't received it. I finally told her to listen, finally she acknowledges that they did receive the referral but that it was wrong because referral is for Dr Fancher instead of the Hawai'i Dermatology Center. But no one notifies the primary or the patient. ‍My husband would have come to the appointment and there wouldn't have been anything scheduled. BTW. Whoever that scheduler was needs to tone down her ego and maybe listen to patients before assuming‍So unfortunately as much we love Dr Fancher, this is too much aggravation just to see doctor.

Yesterday I went in for my scheduled hydrofacial and it was absolutely amazing as usual. First things first, she dermaplanes my whole face to get rid of any gunk, then goes in with products like vitamin C misting, hydro jelly, etc. Besides this, there is a head & neck massage, & red light therapy. I remember she told me she went to Korea recently & learned how to do facial contour massaging - I noticed that some of those techniques were incorporated into my facial this time.
