(Luckily, down the street was a Walgreens and they had an assortment of microusb cables (which allowed me to fix the problem with minimal effort.) If you're touting yourselves as Apple Specialists that have been in the business for 30 years, you may want to update your practices and experiences those 3 decades to the current day knowledge that your customers deserve. Again, thanks for nothing micropower. You are out of touch and irrelevant and may want to consider changing your name to nanopower or picopower.

I felt they would be more attentive & affordable than "Best Buy's geek squad" My Husband dropped off my laptop for me after 4pm on a Tuesday. They closed at 5pm. I immediately started getting "update" emails from Matthew. Matthew was so professional and was just wonderful to have as my specialist. He constantly kept me updated with each step he was doing on my computer (I loved that). He called me to let me know my hard drive needed replaced. He gave me my options. I could use my warranty or buy a new one. Now here's where I was impressed, I thought my warranty expired after 90 days of owning my laptop. Matthew was able to tell me my warranty hadn't expired, that I could use it & when it does expire. He even went above and beyond by sending my computer to HP because it was under warranty. Huge scam artist. Scammed $360 out of my friends grandma, offered to replace a hard drive and…read moreinstall some ram for the low low price of $850.... in an 8 year old computer!! My friend went over to help his grandma, but she handed over the cash before he got there, because the guy (Dale P Baker) refused to give the computer back until she paid up. He strong armed the poor lady by saying he'd report her for credit fraud if she didn't pay up right then. My friend arrived literally 5 minutes late. He's a thug to the elderly and a scam artist, and clearly doesn't know anything about computers if it takes him $360 to fix viruses. UPDATE (09/22/11): I looked at her computer and scanned for modified files. In doing so, I was able to see that he only did about 2 hours of work, yet he billed her for 6.75. The majority of "work" done was just installing base components so he could run virus scans from free software. Oh yeah, and the "work" he did crippled her computer and made it so she couldn't even access the internet. DO NOT LET THIS PERSON TOUCH YOUR COMPUTER!!!!
