They said it would take 2 hours to fix my phone, it took 4 days. I brought my phone in on a Tuesday to fix a cracked screen. They said they would have to order the part and it would cost $130, seemed high but I like my phone so I said okay. Came back on a Friday to drop it off and they said it would be 2 hours. Came back and they said the replacement screen was defective so they would have to order a new one with no idea how long it would take. They couldn't give me back my phone because they had already taken the old screen off. I asked to be refunded the $70 for the labor but they said it wasn't their fault and could only maybe do $10 or $20 (I still don't know why this was a maybe). At no point did they take responsibility for the problem and didn't seem to understand why I would be upset having to go four days without a phone. There are literally two other repair shops within 100ft of this place, go there instead. read more

Should be a Zero!! Paid 180.00 for the replacement of the back on my iphone 13. Two weeks later drop the phone with a case on it and it cracks the newly replaced back in 3 places! Their quality is lacking ! They say a life time warranty but not on the back glass!! Thank you so much! Happy to have wasted 180 with you! Walked out with more problems then what I had walking in. Simply dropped my phone in some water so there was "minor water damage", so they said. They initially worked on my phone, and had a bit of trouble with it. It seemed completely dead. After they volunteered to review my item again, they were able to fix my iPhone. I was charged extremely fairly, given all the time and personal focus they gave my phone. When it was initially unresponsive, they could have just said "Phone is dead." and left it at that. This company focuses very strongly on the customer, and try their best to make things right. I am so pleased with their services, and cannot recommend them enough! read more

Update Sept 6th. Got a final call that my unit was ready to pick up. They did a 3rd replacement of the screen apparently (this one after the daughter board was replaced, as well.). They didn't charge me any further (a pleasant surprise) and I will admit that the unit seems to be working like it did originally, but overall, this repair process has taken over 2 months. I still feel their customer contact needs work (a periodic phone call to let you know you're part still hasn't arrived/the repair is taking a little longer than expected?) because two out of the 4 times I left it, I was told "you should get a call early tomorrow morning". read more

Awesome place - my iPhone 7 ear speaker wasn't working, they did initial troubleshooting over the phone and asked me to stop by. The ear speaker had to be cleaned and it was back and working in less than 10 mins. IMechanic refused to take any money from me for the repair, I was super shocked and appreciative. They are customer driven and care about building a strong customer base. I am a very happy and satisfied customer and will be spreading the good word out there, also iMechanic will be the only place I take my phones for any repair. The battery for my Pixel had to be ordered, which I can understand. They let us know when it came in and I went in to have the battery installed about 3 on Saturday and they told me it would take a couple of hours and there wasn't time then. I took my phone in at 11 on Tuesday morning thinking it would be a couple of hours. The guy tells me it should be ready at 3 or 4. My son went to pick it up at 5:30 and it wasn't done. He had to wait in town to get it for me. They finally had it done at 6:55...5 minutes before they close. I think their service stinks! read more

I recently went here to get a screen replacement on my Moto z force and they replace the screen but in the process of replacing it scratched the new one so they said they would order a new one and replace it for free . I was happy with that but then when they did second replacement somehow they did something to the internal system of the phone and it would no longer register that it had service. So I took it back and asked for my money back which they would not do unless I left it there for them to try to fix. Which it was a 150 + repair . they then had it for a week just to end up telling me oh we are sorry can't fix it after all .so I was with out a phone all in all 2 weeks just not happy as the only thing wrong with it to begin with was the screen now I no longer have a phone read more

It only took a minute and so he refused to charge me, only asking that I offer a good review of their business. Have an air 2 Ipad. The screen cracked and I thus began exploring my options. I called Apple and their repair of the screen for the air 2 is $379. Steep, but I knew that they would be. I also know that Apple will repair correctly. So, when I called imechanic and asked the first thing they told me was "I think I've only seen one ipad air 2 in here before, so I'm not sure on the price". Should have been a red flag. They then look into it and tell me it would be $250-$300. We all know what that means when they give you a range. It is always the high end and it was for this one, $300 to have them repair it verses $379 for the Apple repair. 5-7 business days for the repair and they are a local business, so I agreed to have them repair it. Dropped it off on a Monday and began calling to check on it that following Thursday. The part had not arrived yet. When I, of course, asked when it would arrive, they didn't know. They assumed it would be the following Tuesday (they get shipments on Tuesdays and Thursdays). Of course, I indicated that this is now beyond the 5-7 days that they had said it would take. They were sorry, but there is nothing they can do (common theme). I called back on Tuesday and they put me on hold and had to check the shipment that had arrived, so they hadn't been watching for the part, even though they had gone past the timing they had told me. He comes back, no part. "Maybe it was shipped to the office in Bloomington", he tells me. "I bet that is what happened, I'll call them and run to Bloomington today and get it", he says. So, he agrees to call me right back and let me know. A few hours pass and I get no call. I call back, it's not in Bloomington. Where is it? They don't know, it "must" be coming on Thursday. I call back on Thursday, note that they don't call to give me updates on my late, overpriced, repair. The part did not arrive on Thursday either. So, I ask, are you sure that it has been ordered? When did the supplier say it would arrive? They don't know. You see, apparently, they never know when parts will show up, they just cross their fingers and tell the customer and estimate on time that suits them. Of course, I have to wait til the following Tuesday and call them, yet again. Again, shipment there but they don't know if my part is there. I'm on hold. At this point, I'm ready to tell them to cancel if they don't have the part. The part is finally there! So, this is at 3:30 on a Tuesday (over 2 weeks from when I dropped it off). They are open til 7, so I figure they can finish the repair on Tuesday, right? I told him I would come by around 12 on the following Wednesday to get it, of course I'm thinking that it would be done Tuesday night. I call back Tuesday night at 6:30, nope, not done. I called on Wednesday morning at 11:30, ready to go get it, not done. "It's a lengthy repair, should be done by 1"! So, amidst all of this, I also indicated that I believe they should discount the quoted price due to their handling of this. Seemed fair to me, if they had told me 2.5 weeks at the beginning, I would have repaired it through Apple. I had been very patient. Well, it seems "the $300 price is pretty much at cost". Really? First, "pretty much" is not at cost and I don't think it is unreasonable for this to have been at cost for them, if they cared for the customer at all. He did offer to put a $30 glass protector on top of the screen for free for me. Once I found out that it adheres to the glass, I passed on that. Again, you would think if they could offer a $30 glass protector, they could offer to take $30 off. Nope. This tells me they can't move the glass protectors and pass them to unhappy customers for free. In Summary, if you want to have to call and check continually on your repair, have the time far exceed the quoted time, pay a premium price, and have them unwilling to ensure your satisfaction, then use imechanic. Otherwise, skip. They are not trustworthy. read more

I went to iMechanic to get my iPhone 6 repaired I had a broken screen and they seemed professional until I picked it up when I got my phone back the screen was fixed but on the screen I noticed a little dotted light and that was never there before so I asked the guy and he said it would be fine the screen would work normally and it did but very recently I dropped my phone and again the screen shattered near the home screen but when it dropped I had a Otterbox Defender on my phone and I dropped it from about three feet high the Otterbox defender is the biggest case they make for the iPhone and it broke from three feet that is ridiculous I also read another review of someone's screen breaking after they got it fixed by iMechanic and it wasn't even dropped I highly recommend not going to iMechanic and I also recommend reading reviews of places before you go. read more

I took my MacBook in recently for repair while traveling from another state. They took care of me and professionally fixed the problem in one hour and charged me not one penny over the regular charge when I even asked them to charge me no problem.
