Had the pleasure of visiting Alex for the first time in Oct 2018 for a 1 hr deep tissue massage. After a brief discussion about my expectations and needs, Alex provided me with an amazingly thorough and comprehensive deep tissue massage. During the massage, Alex will always check in to see how you're doing and to monitor pressure level, etc. Alex is a consummate professional who is also very courteous, thoughtful, and kind. Make sure you know what type of massage you need and can handle. Deep tissue massage involve moderate and targeted pressure to body parts. It's great for releasing muscles tightness, but the targeted pressure can be uncomfortable for some. I personally love it and I can feel the difference in my mobility and flexibility after a session. If you want something more relaxing, there's always Swedish massage. Alex also offers a massage with increased pressure over deep tissue, but I don't think I'm quite ready for that yet. read more

I had my first massage from Alex today and I am not disappointed. I am super picky about massages. I care about the pressure, the transitions, whether they want to chat constantly, etc. I've had some really awesome massages and some that felt like a complete waste of money. All the masseuses I've gone to came highly recommended, which just goes to show you what a personal choice a massage and the particular masseuse can be. I walked away from my massage feeling great and like a new person. She has a wonderful mix of techniques, some of which I've never experienced before. She touched every part of my body, which I appreciated. She includes work on the buttocks (if you want it and something not all masseuses do) and a lot of time on the head and neck, which was terrific. The great thing about her though is if she's doing something you don't like or if the pressure is too much or too little, she listens. I had a 90 minute deep tissue. The pressure was perfect. There were times when I really had to focus on my breathing to get through the pressure on places where I had some knots, but I feel absolutely great now. I will definitely be back. A few weeks ago I was in real neck pain and desperate need of some help. Alex called me back and I've been committed ever since. Her service is affordable and accessible. It's at her home, which is so, so relaxing and welcoming. And most importantly, she knows how to make you feel better. She wraps you up in a world of warm blankets and neck pillows, the smell is incredible, and you get to look down at a lovely floating candle while she works out all your issues. By the end of the massage she had worked out all my knots and pains and issues and I left feeling calmer, more comfortable and relaxed. And I left feeling better.
