Very disappointed with my experience at Midtown Women's Center, especially regarding billing and…read moretransparency. Before my appointment, I called twice specifically to ask about the cost and was told the out-of-pocket cost would be approximately $150-$200. I also asked again on the day of my appointment and was told my insurance would cover 100% of the service. I was extremely surprised to later receive a $339.68 bill after insurance. I understand that insurance billing can be complicated, but this is exactly why I made the effort to call twice beforehand. Florida Statute §395.301 addresses healthcare price transparency and requires covered facilities to provide timely and accurate financial information and good-faith estimates for scheduled services. Florida Statute §395.301 I have already contacted the billing department, but was told there was nothing they could do. I then contacted the Women's Center directly, and unfortunately, the staff member hung up on me. I found that extremely unprofessional and disappointing. My request is simple: please review my bill and allow me to pay the lower self-pay price I was quoted, rather than the $339.68 patient responsibility. At the very least, I deserve a clear explanation of why I was quoted $150-$200 and ultimately billed significantly more after insurance. As for the actual care, the mammogram and ultrasound staff were professional, but the overall experience could have been much warmer. A little more kindness and reassurance during these procedures would make a big difference. I hope the center takes this feedback seriously and improves both its billing transparency and customer service.

I wanted to leave this review because I believe patients should understand an important difference…read morebefore scheduling an MRI. This facility uses a 1 Tesla MRI scanner. There is nothing inherently wrong with a 1 Tesla MRI, and for many routine exams it can provide adequate diagnostic images. However, many patients are never told what type of MRI machine is being used or that there are different levels of MRI technology available. In many hospitals and imaging centers today, 3 Tesla MRI scanners are available. A 3 Tesla MRI generally produces higher-resolution images, better detail, and can be particularly beneficial for studies involving the brain, spine, prostate, joints, small ligaments, and certain neurological conditions. Better image quality can sometimes help radiologists detect abnormalities more clearly, although the most appropriate scanner depends on the specific medical situation and your physician's recommendation. My goal is not to discourage anyone from using this facility. Rather, I encourage every patient to ask: Is this a 1 Tesla or a 3 Tesla MRI? Is a 3 Tesla MRI recommended for my specific condition? Would a higher-resolution scan improve the diagnostic quality of my exam? Patients deserve to make informed decisions about their healthcare. Knowing the difference allows you to discuss the best option with your doctor before your appointment.

I want to warn anyone considering this facility about my experience. Back in July, I was quoted…read more$200 for an MRI after they verified with my insurance. When I arrived for the appointment, I was only charged $20 upfront. Weeks later, I suddenly received a bill for $374. When I called to dispute this charge, I was told it was my deductible--even though this was never explained to me at the time and contradicted the original quote. The actual MRI experience was terrible. The staff attempted to insert the IV for contrast 10+ times, leaving me bruised and in pain. I was chastised for having "bad veins" rather than being treated with professionalism or care. I have photographic proof of the excessive needle marks I endured during this visit. When I escalated my concerns, I spoke directly with the CEO, Robert Diaz. Instead of addressing the clear lack of training and miscommunication from his staff, he was entirely unhelpful. Rather than accepting responsibility, he treated me as if I were at fault and made me feel like I was the problem for questioning their billing practices and poor care. This facility not only engages in misleading billing practices but also fails to provide compassionate, professional medical care. Patients deserve honesty, respect, and competent treatment--none of which I received here. I strongly recommend avoiding Advanced Health Imaging. I will be pursuing further action through insurance and the appropriate regulatory agencies.

My experience with Life Imaging was extremely disappointing. I was contacted and encouraged to come…read morein for a "free" heart scan, which I understood to be exactly that--a free promotional screening. Once I arrived, however, it quickly became apparent that the purpose was to get me into a presentation where they tried to sell me an expensive package of additional services. The sales pitch even included suggestions about what credit card I should consider using to pay for it. I was very clear that I was there for the free promotional scan only, that I would not be purchasing anything, and that if I ever decided I wanted additional services in the future, I would contact them myself. At that point, the tone of the seminar changed noticeably. The actual scan took approximately 10 minutes. Before leaving, both the person who performed the scan and the front desk told me that I would receive my results by Tuesday. I went on a Saturday. Tuesday came and went with no results. I contacted them, and I was then told it could take 2-3 days, meaning Wednesday at the latest based on what I was originally told. It is now Saturday and I still have not received my results or any update. If you advertise something as a free health screening, I believe people should be given clear expectations about what they are actually signing up for and should not feel pressured into purchasing expensive packages or figuring out how to finance them. And when you tell someone they will receive their results by a certain day, follow through or communicate if there is a delay. My experience left me feeling that the "free" scan was primarily a way to get people through the door for a sales presentation. The lack of follow-up regarding the results only made the experience worse. I hope others understand what to expect before agreeing to a "free" promotion.

I told her that I came 2 weeks ago and the doctor I saw could not tell me if the pregnancy was viable as the embryo was too small ( I was 4 weeks then) So I was stressed, not a word, she just put the ultrasound in my vagina without saying anything. Suddenly I heard a heartbeat for 3 seconds. It was initially supposed to be a beautiful moment, I was with my husband but it was not because it was so fast without explanation. After that, she just said you're about 6 weeks pregnant and told me to leave. I heard that I should have seen a doctor but no one was called. This experience was awful. Following that, I called the ultrasound department to complain about the experience because I did not have a visit summary and needed to go to another hospital. They forwarded me to the patient experience department, and the employees listened carefully to me and told me that they were going to let the manager knows. Narcy Gonzales called me, was having lunch at the same time, and just found all the possible excuses for me to be wrong. She did not listen to me and said I will send you a form to fill out to receive your summary. She asked me to send her back a form. Once I did, She never answered me, despite my texts, calls, and emails. 10 days after, I contacted the Vice President of the patient experience, and when she learned that she sent me the report right away. I have to precise that even the vice president never answered to my email. Overall a really bad experience.
