That's a blatant disregard of the patients time. I have had 7 doc appts in the last 1.5 years and maybe I have been extra lucky but this is the first time I encounter this DMV like service. Honestly, this place was the worst. Don't schedule me for a morning appt if the doc won't even arrive on time.

The office is suspect and the way they handle care and money is considered dirty…read more My procedure was canceled the day before operation after I flew in and made all arrangements and prepared to pay through -- cash, credit and financial (CareCredit). Dr. Valladares decided not to operate because of my kidney levels I suppose were below comfort of recovery -- yes I was disappointed since all my labs were complete a month prior and a week prior before arriving and taking time off. But that's not the worst part. They took $200 cash for "prescriptions" in the office without a form of receipt and I asked about it and they said I'd receive the prescriptions day of surgery but I never received the procedure. Originally they said 3,700 but since I needed to use Care Credit they changed the price to 4,800 and charged Care Credit and my credit card the day before surgery even though the surgery never happened. I called about the refund and I was told to call Care credit and dispute the transaction. Really? That's how they handle refunds. I was supposed to call the finance company and claim I never had the procedure and they were supposed to believe me. Well I did that and filed a dispute. I called Vixen for refund on my credit card and the cash I paid for prescriptions and I have not been able to reach them since. I researched to see if this is normal practice and no! This is highly suspicious, and I should have not been charged till after the procedure. This has been so stressful, so hard on me financially and emotionally. I will continue to reach out, so whatever it takes to get my money back and let others know of how this was handled. Another lady had used Vixen as well with a different surgeon. She is convinced she is "botched" and they have "ghost surgeons" practicing along with the expected surgeon. The girls in my recovery home have been unwell, multiple ambulance services and blood transfusions. They regret the whole procedure. There is nothing inherently wrong with a 1 Tesla MRI, and for many routine exams it can provide adequate diagnostic images. However, many patients are never told what type of MRI machine is being used or that there are different levels of MRI technology available. In many hospitals and imaging centers today, 3 Tesla MRI scanners are available. A 3 Tesla MRI generally produces higher-resolution images, better detail, and can be particularly beneficial for studies involving the brain, spine, prostate, joints, small ligaments, and certain neurological conditions. Better image quality can sometimes help radiologists detect abnormalities more clearly, although the most appropriate scanner depends on the specific medical situation and your physician's recommendation. My goal is not to discourage anyone from using this facility. Rather, I encourage every patient to ask: Is this a 1 Tesla or a 3 Tesla MRI? Is a 3 Tesla MRI recommended for my specific condition? Would a higher-resolution scan improve the diagnostic quality of my exam? Patients deserve to make informed decisions about their healthcare. Knowing the difference allows you to discuss the best option with your doctor before your appointment.

I later learned that the machine they use is outdated, which explains the terrible results. I had to get a second MRI at a different facility, and that one clearly showed the tear that the Millennium machine completely missed. I also tried calling explaining the issue, they only told me thats what the radiologist read on the MRI. The issue is not the radiologist but the outdates MRiI machine. II later find out its one of the oldest machines out there. In the end, it was a total waste of money , time and delay in treatment. Once I arrived, however, it quickly became apparent that the purpose was to get me into a presentation where they tried to sell me an expensive package of additional services. The sales pitch even included suggestions about what credit card I should consider using to pay for it. I was very clear that I was there for the free promotional scan only, that I would not be purchasing anything, and that if I ever decided I wanted additional services in the future, I would contact them myself. At that point, the tone of the seminar changed noticeably. The actual scan took approximately 10 minutes. Before leaving, both the person who performed the scan and the front desk told me that I would receive my results by Tuesday. I went on a Saturday. Tuesday came and went with no results. I contacted them, and I was then told it could take 2-3 days, meaning Wednesday at the latest based on what I was originally told. It is now Saturday and I still have not received my results or any update. If you advertise something as a free health screening, I believe people should be given clear expectations about what they are actually signing up for and should not feel pressured into purchasing expensive packages or figuring out how to finance them. And when you tell someone they will receive their results by a certain day, follow through or communicate if there is a delay. My experience left me feeling that the "free" scan was primarily a way to get people through the door for a sales presentation. The lack of follow-up regarding the results only made the experience worse. I hope others understand what to expect before agreeing to a "free" promotion.

I understand that medical clinics can experience unexpected delays. However, I find it very frustrating to make an appointment for a specific time and then have to wait an unreasonable amount of time to be seen. What is especially concerning is seeing patients who arrive as walk-ins being called in before patients who already have scheduled appointments. This makes me question the purpose of making an appointment and feels unfair to those of us who make the effort to arrive on time and respect your clinic's schedule. I believe patients' time should be respected just as much as and staff's time. If there are going to be significant delays or if walk-in patients are routinely going to be seen before scheduled appointments, patients should be informed ahead of time. I hope the office will review its scheduling procedures and find a way to better respect appointment times and improve communication with patients. I am bringing this up because I believe patients deserve a more organized and respectful experience.
