For the past 5 years I have suffered from debilitating chronic migraines. Every doctor I have seen tells me the same thing "there is nothing I can do for you, no tests I can run, but I can give you a pill to take for the rest of your life." I don't believe in taking pills to solve problems, so I will normally just suffer through the pain. I have searched for and tried all kinds of holistic remedies as an alternative, some worked, others didn't. Dr. Harcourt was very knowledgable and easy to talk to. During the first appointment I met with Dr. Perman who conducted a comprehensive evaluation. The evaluation was spot on and asked all the right questions. When he reviewed the results, he discussed the root cause, and a clear plan as to how to fix the problems, holistically. This in itself is AMAZING! To have a doctor, tell me why I'm having migraines AND how to treat it without pills! I was shocked, relieved, and thankful to hear this. I have been very diligent and committed in following their treatment plan. Dr. Perman has been very accessible and supportive throughout. He is very knowledgable and truly cares about his patients and his craft. Since working with Imagine X, I am extatic to say I have been migraine FREE!!!!!! From having chronic migraines to NO migraines. I mean what a blessing. This is not to say I haven't had other problems and challenges, I have, and the team at Imagine X has been right by my side for every step of the way. I must have went to 20 doctors to try to fix an issue I was told by medical professional after medical professional was sciatica. I think the initial consult visit was $300. So I was reluctant to try Imagine X Functional Neurology. I had spent thousands with other doctors. Chiropractors. Acupunturists. Massage therapist. Physical therapists. Spinal surgeons. For 4 month I could barely sit down. I was either lying on the floor or standing. Couldn't drive for more than like 10 mins! I thought this maybe my new life. It was very depressing. I was then encouraged by a friend to see Dr. Perman. Before I saw the doctor he performed countless tests on me. Checked my balance. How I move. So many tests. None of which hurt btw. This is the best and cleanest office I have ever been to. The staff is so sweet and always super accommodating and makes you feel like you're the most important person they talk to. I recommend this office to anyone and everyone who has migraines, symptoms after a concussion, dizziness, or any other neurological issues that you don't want to just take medications for. I hit my head against a granite counter top a year ago and have been dizzy with vision issues ever since. I came to Dr. Perman because physical therapy, chiropractics and cranio sacral therapy all didn't help and he specializes in neurological brain issues. Dr. Perman (whose background education includes both doing research at Harvard, and finishing functional neurology programs in San Francisco early and with honors) got me, within a week, to a point where I can stand with my eyes closed and not tip over, as well as being able to read what I'm writing without it being blurry. He is passionate about functional neurology and very skilled. I recommended him to some of my family members with neurological issues too. read more

Beware of this place. If i could give 0 stars i would. They sell you a big dream like we know how to fix all of these issues and then give you a big package of treatments that you have to PAY FOR UP FRONT. I went in after getting a concussion. They said they've seen all of this before and know how to treat it. I still wasn't sure if i really wanted to invest all of that money in something that would heal with time they recommended i start right away but i decided to wait a few weeks snd i was starting to feel better slowly my symptoms were dropping off. I had my treatments scheduled snd called to ask them I'm actually improving snd starting to feel better should i still do this snd they said yes this will help even more and speed up the process. I scheduled my treatments and set up a payment plan for the $4500 they were charging. I saw the dr and asked again are you sure i should be doing this my symptoms are so much better I'm almost back to normal and the dr said no i can tell you're not back to normal you should definitely do this. Against my better judgement i went through with it. After day 1 i felt exhausted and one of my worst symptoms of severe insomnia felt like it maybe coming back. I asked the dr and his assistant they said sometimes it gets worse before it gets better. Ok so i stuck it out. Next day same thing but a couple more symptoms came back too more insomnia headaches and severe nausea. I asked and they said same thing sometimes the whole week is hard then things improve. I clung on to hope because i now wanted to get rid of these symptoms that were reactivated after having been GONE before i started treatments with them. Day 3 i was utterly exhausted foggy headed nauseous and had developed this horrible and disturbing anxiety and ringing in my ears and even more symptoms came back like light and noise sensitivity. All of my symptoms had now returned. After day 3 i felt like a walking zombie. Even worse than I'd felt after my original injury. I had somehow now gotten ringing in my ears i had never had that until i started my treatments here. I told them I'd felt so much worse than before and they kept insisting it'll improve. When i got home that evening between the intense ringing in my ears snd severe insomnia and anxiety i got no sleep the entire night and decided i needed a break from my intensive week. I called the office they said no problem dr recommends you skip a couple of days and get some sleep and we'll be in touch to help and guide you along the entire way and we can pick back up again. They never reached out to ask how i was doing or to see if I'm better or ANYTHING. I NEVER heard from them again and i didn't want to go back. And now I've lost $4500 wasted on these treatments felt ten times worse that took me almost a year to recover from after I'd basically been recovered and they said this would make me even stronger. It's been the longest road to healing. What a scam. Worst decision I've ever made. When i called to ask for a refund because they made me worse they said we don't do refunds. That's it. They didn't offer to fix it or make things better nothing. Stay away! read more

I'm currently a patient for Post Concussion Syndrome with Dr. Daniel Perman and I can't recommend this office enough! I came to Image X Functional Neurology in December 2019 as a last resort. I've been a working stuntwomen the past 15 years and had experienced one too many head hits and whiplash over time. I had tried so many things to relieve my brain fog, dizziness and concentration problems . Small task we're becoming harder but what finally got me in the office was my eye sight. It was as if my eyes were not working together and looking at a screen or trying to read anything was useless (even with reading glasses) As a mother of a 7 year old, I was desperate to fix this, if anything, so I could read with her without feeling dizzy. My husband came with me to hear the results of my test evaluation and we were both blown away with the knowledge, compassion and understanding of what was happening in my brain. The testing process alone was fascinating and I left hopeful they could help. I luckily did the 1 week Intensive Program in January and after the second day the brain fog started to lift. By the end of the week all my test results had improved dramatically in certain areas. I could see I had much more work to do but I was happily content with the progress I had made so far. I remember crying on the third day because I was able to look you in the eye and i started to feel joy and an alertness I so desperately missed. It's now April and I have successfully been able to home school my daughter during this Covid-19 quarantine without any symptoms. I was given easy tools to practice at home which have greatly improved my vision. I haven't felt brain fog, dizziness or headaches since January. The care, compassion and availability of this office is like no other I've experienced . It's worth checking out and you will leave feeling so much smarter and educated how to care for yourself. Review of a happy out-of-town patient! Much more energy and much less headaches within weeks! I have been suffering from migraines my whole life. I have been experiencing migraines very regularly together with almost daily tension headaches. A friend recommended me Dr. Adam. Jenny from Imagine X contacted me the very next day and a few days later I had a phone talk with Dr. Adam about my health issues and possible treatment options for me. I decided to schedule the first appointment for the initial examination. The first appointment went very well. Dr. Adam was very understanding and knowledgeable about the topic of migraines and took his time to perform the evaluation and to explain everything in detail. After this visit I learned how to do specific neurological eye exercises, received a nutritional plan specific to my health needs and supplies for the hormonal saliva testing to be performed at home. I immediately started following the recommendations and was delighted to find that I had much more energy after just 2 weeks of my home treatment plan. I became much more energetic and did not have the urge to nap during the day anymore! Yay! :) I took some time to study the information and, after giving it some serious thought, I scheduled a 3X5 treatment (3 appointments for 5 days straight) for one whole week in September. As I lived in Camarillo at that time, I decided to stay with a friend in Santa Barbara for the whole week and walk to the Imagine X office every day and spent most of the time on State Street resting, meditating and walking around. Met some great people on State Street too :) The 3x5 appointments consisted of neurological adjusting of my spine, neck, and extremities by Dr. Adam, followed by electrostimulation and eye exercises with Carly. First two days of the treatment I had very bad headaches by the end of the day and was really tired. (Hot bath at home helped a lot!) In November of 2017 I started working with Dr. Perman at ImagineX, because I had tried just about everything else for sudden-onset vertigo. It has been slow going, but I have had great improvement. I feel so incredibly lucky to have discovered ImagineX. Dr. Perman, Jordan, and Terra are all super helpful and kind. Dr. Perman is incredibly knowledgeable, up front, and efficient. This guy knows what he's doing, and it's clear that his time is very valuable, so come with questions and get all the answers you can during your appointment, but try not to interrupt him until he's done. I've (unknowingly) struggled with post concussion syndrome for more than 6 years now, with the symptoms exacerbated after a second concussion/fall last year. I had been involved in a car accident about 2 1/2 years before I found Imagine X. I had suffered a concussion, neck trauma and a shoulder injury. I had to have a disc replacement done to my neck and had the shoulder repaired surgically. I had been to 2 different Neurologists and their treatment was to give me migraine medications which didn't work. I tried Botox but still suffered with headaches daily and dizziness or the feeling of being off balance. I am a dancer and when I came to Imagine X I was having a great deal of difficulty dancing because I couldn't maintain balance or turn and I was about 6 weeks from having a performance. Dr. Perman performed an extensive evaluation and said that he had no idea how I was continuing to dance as my body had no idea where it was in space and recommended a one week intensive. After the week, I was exhausted but had made great strides in finding my center again. I was able to participate in my performance! This was all with no drugs! My headaches decreased by 40%. My husband attended all of my sessions with me and was amazed at the before and after. I continued to check in for several months and Dr Perman would make adjustments to the exercises I was given. What a relief to reduce the headaches I had been plagued with daily for that long. I no longer felt like I was going to fall over. I had been told by the regular Neurologist that I was out of options and that it was unusual for someone to continue to have symptoms after so long. Fast forward almost a year after I first met with Dr. Perman, I had about a 7 day period of intense headaches and called Imagine X to see if I could be seen. They got me in the next day. Dr. Perman did an evaluation and had me start doing eye exercises again, similar to what I had done at the beginning of treatment. Again, without drugs, my headaches started to subside. Dr. Perman was the only doctor that I had seen that has told me that Post Concussion Syndrome headaches while similar to migraines were not the same. I had been saying this all along.
