A large group of us went to see the lights once it got dark in Camarillo. Honestly, I thought we would be there less than a half hour. But we ended up staying until closing. There was so much to see and pictures to take. It was beautiful with all the lights and people smiling from their enjoyment. Price for tickets were good but it was because we had a promo code to bring it down 20%. I highly recommend taking your kids here and walking around for a while as there seems to be something for everyone. Ohhh, and clear space on your phone because you will be taking a lot of pictures and video.

my mom got our entire family tickets and we had a great time! definitely a fun experience for those who love taking photos. if youre camera shy, this event is not for you. it is an event specifically made to get the best photo ops, with dozens of decorated rooms and bright light sculptures! every turn makes for an amazing background. there is also music which seemed to be playing from one speaker towards the front... there is a circus show that was an interesting watch! the girls are super talented-- the clowns act was a little questionable, but still provided a bit of extra entertainment. there were also a couple stands to order drinks and snacks! this experience is definitely for those who can self entertain and just explore the space. there's a lot to look at! expect a lot of families taking photos and crowding around. it makes for a good family night or even a date!

Kids had a blast- ages 4, 7, 9. Spent 2 hours here. Their favorites were the block room, fish drawing, and the circus! Beautiful lights.

But if you're in the mood for a lively atmosphere, weekends are buzzing with pop-up coffee stands, local beer stalls, and tons of happy families. I even heard they had over 5,000 guests in a single day last weekend -- such an incredible turnout for this Camarillo patch! Entry is $10 a person unless you're under the age of 5, then it's free. Once you step inside the grounds, the fun doesn't stop. From picking pumpkins (I snagged the cutest little white ones) to exploring the tall corn maze and strolling through the sunflower fields, there's something for everyone. At just $1 a stem, you can build your own sunflower bouquet, which makes this experience extra special. The kids will love the mini maze and bouncy houses, while adults can enjoy the festive energy and beer. Honestly, I had the best time and totally recommend adding it to your fall bucket list. Make sure to keep an eye on their Instagram or website as that's where you can find updating postings of specialized events and pop up. Reminder: the weekends are when they have the animal petting zoo, coffee stalls and beer garden. The weekdays appear to be more lowkey and don't have all of these options - but if you watch their website, they do have mid week events like yoga in the pumpkin patch etc.

Pricing was $7 for adults and $3 for kids under 12 plus $1 for each person wanting to feed the Ostrich and Emu. You enter through a gift shop and then out to where all of the birds are - they even had a couple of bunnies and a cat. There were so many Ostrich and Emu spread out everywhere. They come right up to you and just start pecking away! Tip: if you walk down further where the Emu are, there is more room to move around and plus there are lots of birds to feed. I think the Ostrich at the front of the entrance get most of the food - we felt bad not going to where the others were. The whole area was pretty cool - it kind of felt like we were on a safari with how picturesque the mountains and land were. The lady running the gift shop who also explained the rules was very nice! I highly recommend if you have small kids or just need a place to stop and stretch your legs! They offer bathrooms as well! Check them out!

The drive there is beautiful and it's very close to Solvang, so it's easy to get to. The farm is pretty big, and I liked that the birds had a lot of space in their enclosures. There's also a cute little gift shop at the entrance with toys and souvenirs. The lady working there was super nice and explained everything to us. They give you food to feed the ostriches, which makes the whole visit even more fun. The only downside was the smell in some areas. The enclosures probably could be cleaned a little more often. They also planted lavender around the farm, which looked really pretty -- honestly even more lavender would make the place feel even nicer. Overall, definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area. It's a fun way to spend about an hour outdoors.

If you decided to pick fruit you pay by the pound at the end which is reasonable but the fee per person just to walk around seemed on the high end. They have goats, chickens, peacocks, a variety of birds, chickens and roosters and cool art displays. We saw signs for paintballing and hayrides though I didn't see any wagons operating. The main reason we stopped was to try the Okie Pies. I had never heard of them and I am always looking to try new things. They remind me of a large empanada or handheld meat pie. We tried 3 savory and 1 dessert Okie Pie. They were out of blueberry so we settled for Apple and it was good but super sweet. I love desserts and unless you're a diehard apple pie fan you may find this to be too sweet. Savory flavors were salsa verde, chicken pot pie, and blueberry BBQ pork. The blueberry BBQ sounds odd but it was everyone's favorite. Everyone was very friendly and there was even someone who let the kids pet the goats and roosters. We'll stop on the way back home for more blueberry BBQ Okie Pies.

They offer a complimentary olive oil tasting, allowing you to truly appreciate the depth and character of each variety. The fresh bread served alongside the tasting is crafted from scratch in nearby Los Alamos at Bob's Well Bread Bakery, and it is delicious. A few of my personal favorites were the Santa Ynez, Garlic, and Habanero olive oils. The Garlic was so outstanding that I immediately purchased a bottle to take home. It is incredibly versatile. The setting itself is just as memorable as the tasting. There is ample charming outdoor seating beside a small creek, and the gentle sound of flowing water creates a peaceful, almost meditative atmosphere. The vibes are truly immaculate. Inside, the shop is beautifully styled and filled with thoughtfully selected gifts and, of course, an impressive array of olive oils available for purchase. Hayley (sorry if it's spelled wrong) was especially warm and helpful, making the visit feel welcoming. They also offer WiFi, which allowed us to linger a bit longer and get some work done. It is rare to find a place that combines quality, hospitality, and atmosphere so seamlessly.

In my day…read more. I have been to so many Vineyards & even a few Farms too. But this place.. Is a twofer! Yeah, baby! A Vineyard AND a Farm! Beat that Napa Valley! Ok, Ok.. I know Napa Valley is like THE Mecca of Wineries, at least in California, & going there once before, I kinda understand, kinda. But is it really that much better? In my humble opinion.. Ehh. It was whatever Sure, I'm down dropping a nice crispy Benjamin to get that aged, vintage 2013 Cab.. But will I really care, or even notice once that bottle is depleted & I'm now ordering the 2nd least expensive Chenin Blanc on the menu just to wash away all my worries. (Suddenly, Every wine snob, wine aficionado & novice sommelier enters the chat) But, But Lance, it's Napa, How dare you speak against this Holy Land of all Superior Wine. And to that I say, I get it. I truly understand that not all wine is created equally, but also that not all of us have the BIG BUCKS to continuously drop $100 big ones on that prized Napa Cab. Hey, call me crazy, but to me, it's not just ALL about the wine that is produced, but more about the overall experience. It's the vibe. It's the way you are treated. & it's definitely about how they made you feel. Anyone else getting Maya Angelou vibes?? IYKYK ;) **All Wine Snobs have left the Chat** *Vega Vineyard and Farm has entered the chat* Alright team Vega, sit back, kick your feet up, & just listen while I brag a little about you. It was a BEAUTIFUL November afternoon just 4 days prior to Thanksgiving. We were heading back south from Paso Robles & decided to make a little pit stop before getting all the way back home. So my wife looked up wineries in the area that were kid friendly & Vega was at the top of the list. Walking in, we noticed that they had a little restaurant right at the entrance, so we went to put our name down for a table. Unfortunately, the wait time was a little longer than we wanted to wait, only because we had the kids with us, but the hostess suggested if we didn't want to wait, that they had more food on the other end of the farm in "Pops Place". Other than the wine itself, eating the food in "Pops Place" was probably the best move we could have unintentionally made that day. (I'll explain in a bit) So we slowly made our way towards the other side of the farm/vineyard & all I can say is, what a gorgeous property it was. The farm life, the outdoors, the weather, & I was with my Fam. It couldn't have been a better day! Once we got to Pops Place, it was like we entered into a whole new world. A huge area for kids with a jungle gym, stations for outdoor games & activities, benches to sit, even private cabanas you can reserve (not sure if there is a cost) & of course a little shack to order food and wine! So remember earlier when I said eating in Pops Place was probably the best move we could have made that day, Well here are 3 reasons why! 1) We ordered the George's Greek Gyro Pita w/fries (a beef gyro with lettuce, tomato, onions & tzatziki wrapped in a pita) and.. OH. MY. GAWDDD It was so flippin' GOOD! It was so good, that I didn't even have time to snap a pic, let alone set it down after taking that 1st bite. It was complete perfection! 2) Chicken Strips & Fries from the kids menu w/a side of ranch.. Let's just say, The kids loved 'em. 3) We washed it all down w/a beautiful, crisp, perfect for a fall day, 2024 bottle of their finest ALBARIÑO. & it was, EXCELLENT!! After we sat & ate, let the kids get out all of their energy, the fun at Vega continued. From there, we headed to feed the livestock on the property (lettuce sold onsite for a few bucks). There were Chickens, Goats, Pigs, Emu's & Sheep, and the kids and myself had a blast feeding 'em. After that, we stopped off at one of their gift shops to browse all of the fun stuff. Of course, we got the kids their requested candy! The staff we interacted with while at Vega were all so kind, welcoming & made us feel apart of the extended Vega family. Because of this, we will definitely be coming back next time we pass through. So, & this is where YOU come in! The next time you are passing through Buellton, do yourself, your spouse and your kids, if you've got them, a HUGE favor: Come check out Vega Vineyard & Farm and tell me that I was right!
