Came to cut a tree for Christmas this year (from South Bay) in early December. Glad to see a self cutting tree place but the trees were really out of shape. Plenty of parking on the lot, wheel burrows and tools available on site. Figured get here right after Thanksgiving there would be a good selection - not so much, unfortunately. The ones they have pre-cutnare your best options. Wanted to make this an event for the family and actually was not what we expected. Maybe this is an LA thing, idk. Staff was nice, most were under age youth helping (which is cool from a work experience perspective). Photos with Santa on a sleigh are available as well as some hens and a pig.

This place is close to home but feels like it's far away, has the total tree farm vibes going and we have made it an annual tradition for the past 6 years to get our tree from here, prices are decent and great looking trees- they are friendly and helpful but are cash and Venmo only- it's always a good time because the area is pretty and they have a small petting zoo set up. They also sell wreaths that are beautiful

This was our first time at Hagel Tree Farm. We appreciate how attentive and polite the staff was when we needed help. Try to get Cash to help you with getting the wheel barrel and saw. He's a character! We also got help from Current (I think that's how it's spelled) who set up the tree base and wrapped it with a protective cover. Plus, the prices were very reasonable compared to the past farms we've visited. Keep up the good work guys...

    Fresh cut tree

Friendly service and trees were fresh! Will definitely be back to cut down another tree.

PEOPLE we went the Sunday after Thanksgivings Cut and brought home an Expensive tree Two weeks later we find the most atrocious bunch of Hatching Bugs. ! So incredibly thousands and scary Hatching BUGS. Call Hagle Tree Farm and they say They have no idea what it could be ‼ Come on people ! You run a tree farm and you have no idea what it could be ! You have to have some idea And we CAN NOT be the only customers with this Problem. You mean only ONE tree in your whole acreage has spiders ? We wanted SOME kind of acknowledgment Even if only you tell me you would exchange it VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE ‼

What a great experience we had here on small business Saturday (11/30/19). Brad was our host and so enthusiastic about Christmas trees! We ended up with a Nordman tree (a fresh cut from Oregon, not a cut your own). So beautiful... with dark green foliage and a blue undertone. Lush & waxy leaves. Looks like the kind you see in old fashioned Christmas cards). We even bought the fresh garland available at $5 a foot. Very pretty. Be advised: cash, check and Venmo only -- no credit or debit cards.

We bought our tree on December 2nd from Hagle Tree Farm. It is the best tree we have ever celebrated with. Even in the arid conditions we have had this month, today as I took it down, it smelled fresh; there is new growth. Santa at Hagle is simply the best! It's a fun outing every year. The kids enjoy the animals, hay bales, tractors, and of course getting our tree.

I don't see why the bad reviews. I see people have complaint about the lack of trees in years past, but maybe those people didn't realize we are in a drought... the weather affects places like tree farms. My family and I have a tradition of cutting a Christmas tree together every year. We had been going to another farm but unfortunately they don't have trees this year. My father in law found this cute, little family operated business on an advertisement in the paper. 10 mins from Camarillo, just at the entrance of Somis. We got there as soon as they opened and it was the perfect time. No one else ( customers) were there, and the weather was perfect. We were greeted by a young employee who was really pleasant and helpful. My sister said he offered to help with the tree since they don't have a tractor to pick it up. However, they do have wheel barrels, so perfect opportunity to burn that extra turkey and stuffing you had on thanksgiving. Haha. Kids run around playing hide and seek. Santa took photos and selfies, listened to requests for presents and sat in the sleigh for a while. Lots of pine trees to cut and if you prefer firs, they have some ready for you to choose from. They also have a petting zoo and food for sale in the back. Since it was early in the am (9ish) we sat around their pit and sip on some cocoa we brought. Definitely coming back next year.

It's located in the beautiful city of Moorpark. Somewhat situated in a semi residential street. There's no parking lot, just street parking. We came around 10 am and there was already quite a bit of people there. There's a sign at the front that says to pick at your own risk. The regular customers came prepared with big buckets or wagons and pruners. They have medium sized white buckets you can borrow at the entrance to collect your persimmons. Then you make your way up the hill, which is pretty steep. There are lots of fully ripened persimmons on the trees of varying sizes. They had another section further up that was still cordoned off, perhaps not yet ripe. They have two different varieties of persimmon trees throughout the farm. We had a blast picking persimmons for a good hour. The persimmons are sweet and at $1.50 a pound definitely worth it! We got about 25 pounds which will last us quite a while. I'd definitely come back again next year prepared. *** I wouldn't recommend it for elderly with difficulty walking since the hill has some steep areas and is not level. Also beware with toddlers walking around by the trees as there are several small branches sticking out that are perfectly eye level. Today there was a woman that had a nasty fall while picking. Paramedics had to come and take her to get medical assistance.

Messaged her but no response. Would give 0 stars but there's none here. So 1 star it is. Would not…read morebe coming back here because I found a better place for U-pick persimmons and cheaper!
