I was already on my way when I received the notice. I understand that illness happens, but a 15-minute heads-up is not acceptable. They offered to reschedule, which I appreciate, but made no attempt to compensate for the wasted trip and time. Better communication and some goodwill -- even a small discount on a future visit -- would have gone a long way.

They were nice, gave me a refund and it and promised to fix the software configuration. I wasn't going anywhere for the next couple weeks anyway. I'm sure the kid knows to just say "sorry, I can't do men's hair" next time. I don't have API access but trust her JSON object no longer returns 'mens' and they're not using XML for anything either. I'm not posting a photo of myself with a bad haircut but here's my dog Maya.

After doing some research, I called Arrow when it first opened at 9am to see if they could squeeze me in that day and lo and behold, they had space! My appointment was with Alex who is a Level 1 but honestly, if I didn't know that going into the appointment, I would have never known. She took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted, was super understanding and made me feel so comfortable in her chair. When it came to my cut, I had asked to dry cut it (I have naturally curly hair and I prefer stylists to cut it when it's straightened as that's how I normally have it styled), and it turned out perfectly. She kept my length, cut off the dry ends and it looks exactly as I want it to. The color - literally WOW. I have dark hair and I wanted something subtle and natural but still fun, and she did just that. I have never left any salon so happy and thrilled with how my hair looks. Alex, you are a gem and so fun to spend 3 hours with! My hair turned out so well, I will literally fly in from New York just to have her do it again. I would say it is on the more expensive side but I only go a few times a year and I'm happy to pay a bit more for quality and to support a local business. I appreciate that they keep notes about what I have asked for in the past and what I like. The location in Golden Belt is a bit tucked away but you can always ask the security guard. The studio itself is small and funky. During COVID it was only one client at a time because the studio is so small and they are still keeping with mask requirements which I appreciate. I would say the only downside is that parking has gotten crazy in Golden Belt with so many new businesses moving in that it can be hard to find a spot especially during lunch time. You might consider grabbing a spot on Morning Glory instead of trying to park in the Golden Belt lot.
