Good client service, been coming for about a year. Consistently great no matter who I'm being taken care of by.

Image Nails never disappoints. This visit, I brought my husband and my in-laws, and the team was so patient, attentive, and professional with all of us. They made the environment very comfortable and welcoming. Wendy, as always, exceeded my expectations--I showed her a little inspo and she absolutely nailed it. We all left happy and already looking forward to our next visit! read more

I'm very spontaneous when it comes to getting my nails done. I don't have a go-to shop or manicurist but since I discovered this shop I have been back 3 times! Everyone here is super friendly and does a great job. The thing I like the most about this place is that my gel manicure lasts forever! Usually they start chipping after 2 weeks but the method they use here makes them last forever. They have a ton of colors and also work very fast while making your time here relaxing. Not to mention the prices are great. read more

After I trying many of nail salons in San Diego I had an amazing experience at this nail salon! Wendy did a fantastic job on my full set with gel color. The attention to detail was impressive, and my nails look absolutely flawless. The gel color is vibrant and smooth, and the overall service was top-notch. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for quality nail work! read more

AMAZING SERVICE! Miracle workers!! I went in extremely last minute due to an over due needed manicure and a sudden nail break. I was extremely stressed because I have an engagement photo session this week and needed something new. Tania Le was extremely detailed, patient and extremely talented! Originally at a different nail place, I got in my first ever gel manicure, I wasn't too happy with it. It felt sloppy and rushed. So when I had one of my nails break and needed a new manicure, I was excited to try a new place but I was also panicked and had no idea what to do. Tania listened to all my concerns/questions and thoroughly made sure to not only save the broken nail, but ensure all of my nail shapes were even and strong. The salon itself was gorgeous and relaxing. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to save a nail or try something new! THANK YOU! read more

My nail experience on May 15, 2025 at Image Nails Salon. Nail tech: Wendy I had a pre scheduled nail appt on May 15, 2025 as I was a regular nail client for the past 4 years who would go every two weeks like clockwork. On this particular afternoon, Wendy sent me a text about a half hour before my scheduled appt asking if I could go the next day because she was running late and the next day would be better. I text her and asked her if she could see me later because I was going out of town the next day. (I emphasize my willingness to go in later because she was ALWAYS running on average of 30 min. LATE!). Wendy didn't reply to my text until after 8:00PM. She said she never saw my texts. I always had to wait when I'd arrive because they squeezed other clients inbetween the clients who had made their appts ahead of time. Wendy was always asking if I could go in earlier or later. Don't go to this nail salon because your time isn't respected as a client, who tips really well! This salon doesn't appreciate if you recommend it to others or if you've been a client for many years. They don't appreciate loyalty one bit! *I post this on behalf of my wife. Not only did the poor experience affect my wife, but also affected me. In this case, I drove my wife to her appointment even after my wife replied back stating that she was willing to go in later for the reasons my wife explained above. Long story short Wendy never replied, and my wife did not get her nails done. I called Wendy myself the following day, asking for an explanation of the poor service. Wendy's poor excuse of fitting someone in prior to my wife's appointment and that individuals need for extensive service to her nails simply because that individual was going to be attending court the following day, is simply ridiculous and not a good excuse. I had to clarify to Wendy that her line of thinking should've been to accommodate her existing appointments and loyal customers over someone that may have obviously intimidated Wendy into excepting the appointment as a walk-in. Nail salons are a dime a dozen. This is fact because there are literally four nail salons within a 2 mile radius of this salon. My wife has been getting her nails done at a nail salon in Mission Valley without having to make future appointments. The salon is busy yet. Their method of working with clients and walk-ins is unbelievably efficient and has not turned my wife down once.! read more

I'm not sure if I want to reveal my secret weapon at this salon... haha or else she'll be booked up more than she already is! But like a good girlfriend, I won't gatekeep! I've followed Mimi to 4 different salons now. She's truly the best nail artist out there. She's the only person I'll allow to do my nails now. If she can't do my nail, I'll just leave them plain. THATS HOW GOOD SHE IS. The overall nail salon is clean, modern, nice. The have quality chairs, Products. I'm looking forward to getting a pedicure with someone else, but for now, this place gets 5 stars all bc they have a really a DIAMOND of Nail tech there. Hope you guys get the same level of service I did! read more

Walked in this place after I was referred by a friend. I got a gel pedi which turned out great, but my dip powder manicure was subpar. The girl took forever and even had to have someone else come and finish. She didn't clean up my nails after the fact and she caked on the powder way too thick. Will go back for gel pedi but never will I get a manicure again here!!! So disappointed. Also, didn't do hand massage with lotion and that's my favorite part. read more

This is the best nail salon I have visited in San Diego. Every single nail technician here does a great job. I usually get a dip mani/regular pedicure. I have been going here consistently for 2 years and I always have a good experience. The manager Wendy is super nice and it's a more relaxing experience than some Other salons. They also have relaxing music on and pleasant background tv. It's never loud in the salon, and the nails techs take their time so I never feel like my services were rushed even if they are busy. Everyone who works here is nice. They can also do very impressive nail art. I had my wedding nails done here and they exceeded my expectations! read more

A friend recommended Wendy at Image Nails last year after I moved to San Diego. Before seeing Wendy, my nails were weak and brittle and I never got them professionally manicured because I was afraid they would get ruined with gel. In just a year with her I have achieved stronger and healthier nails. People can't believe my nails are real. I get compliments at least twice a week. We first started with acrylic tips and after 5 months they were able to stay strong on their own. I only do dip powder now and no acrylics at all. Thank you Wendy for helping me have the longest and strongest nails I have ever had in my life. You are truly amazing at what you do. Not to mention, Wendy has two little ones and is running a business. That is amazing in and of itself. read more

Ok time for a well deserved review update. I haven't had a pedicure in over a year but was finally able to get in again and wow! What a nice surprise! Looks like image nails got a total remodel. Wonderful, classy job! Massage chairs are so awesome and everything looks so sterile and clean. I am guessing there are new owners? But anyhow prices are very reasonable for how nice this place is and what a great pedicure I got from Sue! I will be back for sure! ****************************************** Ps. If you are paying by credit card: MANAGEMENT DOES NOT ALLOW TIPPING ON CREDIT CARD!!!!!!! Bring cash to tip at least, better to pay in cash here because they, also charge a small fee to use card. Will be back for sure and Sue your great and getting a double tip next time!!!! read more

As you can see from the photos the nail polish is blotchy on one hand (LITERALLY HOLES IN THE CLEAR COAT), the nail polish is uneven and you can see where it needed another coat, she didn't cure them under the lamp long enough, the shape of my nails aren't the same (even more so on my right hand). Very disappointed. The 2 star is for my pedicure. I don't have a picture of my toes but the lady who did my them did a wonderful job. read more

Chou is the absolute best! She does an excellent job and always has the best ideas the salon is clean and all the employees are kind

My mother in law and I went to get a few different services done on May 10th. We were celebrating Mother's Day and my graduation from graduate school. All together I paid $113 not including the tip for a full set with gel polish, pedicure, dip powder on natural nails, and eyebrow waxing. Needless to say the prices are not bad. My mother in law enjoyed her pedicure and her dip powder. I had to finish waxing and tweezing my eyebrows when I got home as they were incredibly uneven. I wanted a coffin shape on my nails, they were very crooked and too long for my liking. I feared if they were cut shorter the imperfections would be more apparent so I left them longer than I typically have my nails. I returned on Monday to get them cut down and I went from long, crooked, coffin shaped nails to uneven square shaped nails. At least they were a manageable length. Fast forward to less than a week later and FIVE of my nails are lifting. Today makes one week since getting them done however, they began lifting two days ago. I have never experienced lifting literally days after getting my nails done. Not only is it unacceptable but it is painful. I will never return to this salon. I would rather pay to have them fixed at a different salon. The pros of this salon are the average prices, the staff is nice, and they provide a complimentary drink. You can pick from a few different selections. Unfortunately, these pros are not even for me to return. I would rather pay more for quality services at a different salon. The photo was taken today. read more

Sue is the very best! My nails always look great, and last a long time! I highly recommend Image Nails!

Stopped in to get a gel mani and pedicure since I had a gift certificate. It was my first time coming in and I wasn't sure what to expect. I had my appointment with Sue who did my gel manicure and another person did my pedicure. I went with French tip for both for a classic look that would last longer. My pedicure took way longer than expected, I am glad she took her time but it seemed long. I liked my French tip pedicure except for the extra pink she added. I prefer a very light pink. The skin scrub and leg massage was nice. Onto the gel manicure, Sue is more seasoned and was able to do my manicure quickly. It turned out nice, except for some reason she didn't go spread the polish close to my cuticle. When I got home to take a picture, it looked like my gel manicure had grown for a week already when I just got it done. Was not a fan of that. Also the prices here are much higher than my usual nail shop. I don't feel like the prices are worth the services and quality of work. Overall not bad but I'll stick to my usual shop. I wasn't completely satisfied with my gel nails and it was pricey. read more
