We asked some questions about a particular rug and he answered all of them. The prices are reasonable and we are considering making a purchase. I would recommend this store. Since then, we refinished the floor three times with two different companies, but the result got worse and worse, with dirt trapped under the finish, worn areas becoming bigger, and the overall look of the floor has become "dead" with all the beauty of the oak gone. This summer we decided to redo the floor again and I (very fortuitously) found Mike Callahan of Callahan Brothers. That was the beginning of a very smooth "sailing" to perfect floors and more. Mike came to look at the floors and I told him of several other issues we had in the house. For example, we had problems with rain missing the gutters and getting into the house because of the solar panels on the roof. Mike recommended an outstanding gutter company and suggested what needs to be done (install 6" gutters) which completely fixed the problem. Then, Mike suggested a company that packed and moved our furniture out of the house and a painter who repaired the trims after the floor work and did some other repairs. And now to the central issue of how Mike transformed our floors. His crew under the foreman Carlos covered everything in the house with sheets, sanded the floors and stairs, and worked with us to select the stain color that we liked the most. The result was magnificent. The floors came alive like I have never seen before. On top of that, the crew left the house clean and ready to move back in

I was getting pretty frustrated with their lack of selection and their inability to accommodate the unique dimensions of the rooms. One of my friends recommend Carpets & Us, which is close to where I grew up on Long Island. It may be a small business, but it has the biggest carpet selection I have ever seen! I cannot say enough about the staff; they are phenomenal! They are all extremely knowledgeable and really took the time to listen to my needs. The first carpet they recommended was exactly what I was looking for and even custom cut it to fit my apartment perfectly! They truly seemed invested in making sure I got exactly what I needed within my price range and treated me like family. Oh, I forgot to mention they even do custom flooring! This is now the only place I'll go for my carpeting and flooring needs.

We got many estimates for our uneven and moist garage floor. Most companies either turned us down or explained a very expensive and complicated process. This company seems to have more honest and experienced professionals considering they knew exactly how to fix our floor without the big price tag. When some contractors were saying we had to dig up our entire garage and lay a new slab of concrete, this company was confident they can just grind it down and make it look near perfect. I can confidently say our garage floor has held up very well and looks like an entirely new floor. The company warned us about potential complications because our ground is moist but the floor has held up amazingly and looks as good as new for over a year now. We found out the garage was only moist because we had floor mats in there and rainwater was dripping from our cars getting stuck under the mats. Now everyone compliments our garage and asks us who did the floor when they come over.
