Once again, ILKB has turned a corner! Under new owners and tight management, this gym has once again become a star in my book, so much so that after two classes, I ate the cost of ditching my membership at another gym to rejoin the ranks here. The workouts are as intense as ever (my fitness tracker regularly clocks in 700-800 calories burned per session), with a 15-minute warm up, 5 bag rounds, and a fun but intense partner drill to finish things off. The new instructors are top notch - energetic, encouraging, clear, and regularly checking in to correct your form. I love that no one ever seems invisible here, whether you're a newbie or a consistent attendee. The studio has been cleaned from top to bottom and seems fairly well maintained, so that even with people dripping sweat on the mats, it never smells that way afterwards. I didn't think I could ever be convinced to return, but things have improved in every facet of this gym. As someone who gets easily bored with traditional gyms, I'd highly recommend ILKB as a great and fun alternative. Through August-October-ish this year, I did the 6 week challenge. I did lose weight but gained so much more! Kickboxing is the first exercise I've really been able to "get serious" about. I recently even added my own kickboxing bag to my home garage so I could get some workouts between workouts. I feel so much better when I am able to attend the classes! The coaches provide such a supportive community there, both on and off the mat. I've been a member for a little over a year but have seen the most results in the last few months. This place is addicting! The people, the trainers, the music, everything just naturally draws you in! In the process of me trying out a new place where I can make it my second home for an intense workout regimen, I came across this place on Groupon. Honestly, I would have never known this place existed even after making various trips to Lowe's but I was happy to know that they were nearby. I was very honest that I just wanted to try it because exercising is new to me again, it's been at least 5 years since I actually had a successful workout regimen where I did not get bored and figured to try their 4 workout trial. I was able to make an appointment, come in and be a part of the party. Additionally, I did have to buy the wraps for my hands and I was able to borrow some gloves to get to kickboxing. The trainers were so helpful and encouraging the entire time I was there and since I was new one of the trainers gave ma a more individual lesson to catch up to members that do this everyday. ILKB is definitely a great place to work out and break a sweat, so upbeat and so positive. read more

I did the 6 week challenge after a rough year I needed to find a positive outlet. This challenge/experience has really changed my outlook. I had so much fun even when I felt so tired after class. I saw the changes not only in my mental health but my physical health. I felt completely empowered and really advocated to my friends and family to try it out. I was worried at first when I signed up. I have a torn meniscus and don't work out. They were very supportive and modified the workout when I felt my knee hurting. You really get a good workout, cardio, toning total body work out here. This is defiantly worth a try. It isn't boring and all the members encourage each other. I am highly disappointed with this place. At the beginning all was great. Now that I need to cancel my membership because I have moved out of town the staff has totally turned their backs on me. I have tried emailing two accounts in which one account emailed me back to inform me that I need to speak with the manager at the location. I called to speak with Tony and Danny would not put him on the phone, instead he gave me another email and I have yet to here anything back from the email that Danny gave me. I have tried calling this location countless times and now no one will answer or return my calls. Yet they are still trying to draft money out of my account. The classes are fun, but DO NOT do any of the challenges. The challenges are a scam to bully you into joining the gym. They do not care if you get any results once they steal your money. Tony does not listen to the clients and once you tell them you are not interested in joining, they avoid you. I did everything I was supposed to do and I did not see any results. I tried to talk to the staff and all I received were empty promises. The owners didn't intervene after I requested to speak with them. Do not waste your money! STAY AWAY and DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY. I would give NO stars if possible. Have been waiting for a refund on 2 charges that were made after we froze our account and cancelled our membership but were still charged 2 months of full price. Been trying for almost 6 months to get the money refunded and kept being told they would refund the charges but it never happened. Now we are being told that the previous manager was fired and didn't handle things correctly and they would not be refunding anything. Worst customer service i have seen in a while. It was fun at first till it became repetitive choreography and then o gained 20 lbs. not happy. So my goal was to lose the weight to gain. Super expensive too for gaining the weight back. I joined a new gym and just cut this gym out of my life. Doing wayyyyy better now. Just ILKB is just not what it's made out to be. Plus the trainers keep hitting on me too. This is a good place to come for a fun workout. The instructors are energetic and personable. The hour goes by really fast and you don't even realize you're working so hard and then you're done! It's a great way to maintain your weight and it's also a great way to lose weight and get in better overall shape. That being said, you can't out work bad food choices and if you don't eat right you will not lose tons of weight no matter what you do. The 6 week challenge will help you with both of the diet and the exercise aspects, but I recommend IF you choose to participate in that that you plan to hit the ground running. Do not fool around...you have to follow the plan very closely and there is very little room for error....especially if you have less than 25 lbs to lose! I would also recommend if you do the challenge, that you work out at least a couple more times a week...take a long walk somewhere, lift some weights, play a sport with your kids or do something else to burn some additional calories. Every little bit helps...and the time and effort will be completely worth your while! read more

Worst customer service ever! My husband and I tried to attend our first class at 7:30 pm. Due to horrible traffic we got there around 7:40. I spoke with Sarah whom told us we wouldn't be able to join the current class, which I completely understood, but she didn't even welcome us in to show us around, or anything, just basically made us leave. We asked if maybe we could sign the consent form, or if there was anything else we could do in the meantime, nope. Sarah just stared at us. That was our cue to leave. After driving almost half an hour, we were so embarrassed. Which sucks bc we were both super excited to sign up bc RJ was really nice! I definitely will not be returning and I will request my money for the trial classes back. read more

What can I say about ilovekickboxing, not only do they give you a killer workout (also beginner friendly) but they follow up, and make sure you are getting the most out of their workouts. Before coming here I was not the type to workout. I usually start but then I would stop because I felt uninspired. Since joining ILKB last December, I actually love working out. This one hour class will have have you busy the entire time so you will leave feeling good and knowing you gave it all you had. I'll admit, my first class left me tired and sore but that's because I wasn't used to working out. Once I got past that initial discomfort, I started to see some major improvements. The key is to not let your mind tell you that you can't. Over time, I've definitely developed more toned muscles, my eating habits are very healthy, and I now drink more water than I did previously. If you give it all you've got, you will see results before you know it. What I really love about this gym is that the instructors are very motivating and make you feel like family. Also the members are amazing as well. In a short amount of time I've made so many friends. So don't worry if you've never worked out before or don't think you can do it. Give it a try. You will have lots of support from people who want to see you succeed just as much as you do. read more

Its been over 2 months I am trying to cancel my membership and I am still getting charged. There is no customer service number for billing. I downgraded my plan first back in October but they still charged full price the next month, and since then I am trying to get my money back and no luck. Best workout that I've ever had in my life! And this is coming from a former personal trainer with over 10 yrs experience. They push me to a level that I could never achieve by myself. The instructors and members are all super cool, friendly, energetic and supportive. If you miss time due to illness or injury they will add that time to the end of your membership, which is cool. I've been a member at 24 hr fitness for 20 yrs now and although I love to hit the steel on occasion, lifting weights can def get old. Not only is kickboxing a much better workout, it's also applicable to real life. You never know when you will have to defend yourself or your family. They teach you in great detail how to throw proper punches, kicks, and combos and then walk around the room in order to make sure that you are doing it correctly as well as to offer support. I can't say enough about this place and the instructors. They are top notch for sure. read more

GOOD LUCK GETTING YOUR MONEY BACK - This was a terrible situation. I was hurt before my membership even started. I called to let them know I wanted a refund after the TX winter storm and I was told that I would have to send an email. I did and it took them nearly a month to respond to said email. They finally call and state I will be getting a refund. Refund never happened, I call again and am told I have a free month when ever I want it. THE WHOLE REASON I no longer go to this establishment is that I got hurt because the manager who is also an instructor continually pushed me to try and do things my body wasn't capable of doing. When I tried to do modifications I learned in the first class I attended he continued to tell me that I needed to do more. I ended up twisting my knee pretty badly, and wasn't able to walk without pain until March-April. The free classes I took were in the first few days of February. I paid for a full membership because I was insured I'd have instruction that was accommodating to my joint issues. I never signed my contract obligations and they never returned my money.
