If I could give Junkyard 6 stars out of five I would. My family has had a family membership for…read moreabout six months now. Membership is a flat monthly fee per person or per family if you want to select the family option and take advantage of that discount. As members you can attend any of the classes or come in anytime you want six days a week and workout on your own if you want to hit a bag, practice techniques on the mats/in the cage, lift weights, or do some cross training for metabolic conditioning. It's a really convenient concept you can get a lot of value out of. My six year old son attends the Turbo Tot classes and really enjoys them. Brandon Crick who is the owner and primary coach has a great way with kids. He's firm which helps reinforce development of self discipline and he offers frequent positive and corrective reinforcement for the kids. He throws in some joking around with them to keep the atmosphere positive and constructive. I attend the adult fighting classes 3 days a week. Instruction is offered in wrestling/grappling, kick boxing, cage work, and all the while you are torching the calories. I was in good shape when I started at Junkyard but have achieved a whole new level of fitness. I continue to be impressed by Brandon's scope and depth of knowledge in fighting arts (wide variety), physical conditioning, and physiology. If you want to learn fighting technique and improve your physical condition in a great environment with a flexible framework, Junkyard is your answer. If you drill hard and trust Brandon to instruct you, you will exceed your expectations for generating results. I was able to do just that and looking forward to continuing to get better every day.

I can't say enough great things about this gym. It deserves more than 5 stars. The coaches are…read morepatient yet tough. There is something for everyone, at every stage of life. I am amazed at my progress in just 2 months and am absolutely addicted to this place and the people. Junkyard Fitness is my home away from home. The members and staff are family. Lessons learned are life changing. So glad I made that phone call to Brandon!!!

I've been here since March and I love it! It's a great way to burn calories. If you follow their…read moreplan, you do lose weight. I lost 10 pounds in 6 weeks following their plan. I have friends who lost 25 or more in 6 weeks. It really depends on you and how well you can follow it! As for the class itself, it is really fun, great way to make friends, lose some weight, tips on what to eat, and instructors who actually care about you!

Update: I joined in January and really loved it at first…read more I've since stopped going to class. I absolutely hated the partner drills! I had several pretty bad partners. I know I'm not alone in those thoughts as I'd noticed that others would leave prior to partner drills beginning. As a previous review mentioned, it's just not something that is necessary when I'm a sweaty mess and so is the other person! I once had a partner criticize me, I had one that really should've put on deodorant prior to class and a guy that must've believed I'd done something wrong to him with the way he was punching! (Eye roll) It's also pretty expensive!! Plan on spending about $120-$150 per month depending on which package you choose. In an effort to combat my distain for the partner drills, I attempted to bring my 13 year old to class thinking she'd be allowed 3 free classes. Not the case! I was told after she'd attended one class that I would need to purchase a full price membership for her as well. That seemed absolutely ridiculous to me that no discount whatsoever was offered! Overall, if you are looking to commit to losing weight and getting in fit then ILKB is a great way to start. It does work!! My advice - take the 3 classes for $19.99, learn the moves and buy a bag for home and save the money! I did that exact thing and love my continuing results! This place is awesome!! The instructors are knowledgeable and committed to giving you the workout of your life! They are eager to assist you with form in order to get the most out of each round. From warm up to boxing rounds to partner work and cool down stretching it is a total body, intensive workout. I'd definitely suggest arriving about 10 minutes prior to class beginning to give yourself time to wrap your hands. I've been a member for less than a month and have lost three or more inches in every area I've measured! You couldn't find a more supportive group of instructors and members alike!! I've personally never been a member of any gym that I looked forward to going to but this one does that for me! And talk about an outlet for aggression!! Have stress?! Take it out on that bag!! Loving my results thus far!! I truly love kic

I'm traveling and away from my home gym, so I dropped in this evening. Honestly can't say enough…read moregood things. They're doing it right. The gym is clean, well taken care of, and just a nice place to train. Staff was friendly and made it easy to walk in as a visitor. Class was structured well and I liked the format. Good instruction, good pace, technical, and a lot of attention to detail. The students were kind, welcoming, and zero ego. That says a lot about the culture. This gym represents the jiu-jitsu community. If I lived in the area this would be my home gym. If you're in live in the area or just visiting come give them a try you won't regret it

I sent a quick email and I got a response from BVMMA allowing me to drop in for the few days I was there. I am still very new to Jiu Jitsu so I was a bit intimidated to train at a new gym. This gym has a GREAT culture! 5 minutes into warmups and I felty at home there. The instructors and the students I met were first class. Got some good rolls in and learned some things. The coaches knew I was only there for a couple days and still took time to show me a couple of specific techniques I needed to address. I appreciate the opportunity to train with y'all. Hopefully I make it out that way again at some point. Thanks for everything.
