This will probably go down as my my personal review ever. When I found this place I had decided my life needed to change. Looking at me most people would never guess the pain I deal with every day. I look normal so what could be wrong?! Well, I have complex PTSD and my insides constantly feel like they are battling to not explode. The thought of any kind of violence or conflict in my life rendered me immobile and terrified. I called and spoke with Zach. He was so kind taking time to explain everything. I was still worried and explained I needed sometime to think. No pressure was put on me at all. I waited the weekend and called back the next week. This time I talked to Abby. She literally cried with me on the phone with so much concern and love. I took my first class with Zach that Wednesday and had a full mental break down. While still running the class, he came and took care of me. For the first time in my entire life someone comforted me while I was scared. As painful as it was I knew I found a place that could help with my growth. I've been to a few classes now and I will not be stopping soon. I love these people and this class. Every week I look forward to class and become the strong powerful women I am. read more

This kickboxing gym is very convenient for me, but for whatever reason it just was never on my list to try. Mind you I am a VERY rusty kickboxer so that was part of the reason. However with my kickboxing background from taking the class at the gym + my TAE BO days (if you know you KNOW holla Billy Blanks) I knew it would be something I would probably enjoy. I have a coworker friend that would rave on and on about this place so I decided to give it a try. Pro tip - at the moment, some of the class times are listed on Class Pass, so my fellow insiders can get up on it and sign up! I took the 6:30pm class and got there right on time to jump in. If you're super new I'd recommend that you get there 10-15 mins early to get your wraps and gloves and etc. Wraps are $5 and you can keep them (brand new) which was nice. They also have a ton of super cute merch! Okay back to the workout. There is 15 minutes-"ish" of dynamic stretching and warm up which is nice and will get you sweating. The instructor of the day broke down each movement and focused on technique which was very helpful. They also will correct you if you are doing something wrong which as we all know is helpful in injury prevention and etc. I was pretty tired from teaching classes at the gym all week so I appreciated the corrections. I would however prefer to see more modifications during the dynamic warm up phase. We jumped into a lot of the dynamic movement without any modifiers and with tight hamstrings (endurance sports will sure do that to ya) I NEED options baby! Otherwise it is a booty kicker for sure and you will be tired afterwards. My hands/arms were shaking from taking out all of the week's stress on that punching bag! So come here, check it out, release some stress and you will enjoy. I'll be back to try more classes for sure. read more

Kickboxing on a Saturday morning was completely outside of my comfort zone but I survived!! Full body workout and you have a phenomenal staff coaching you throughout your session. I had never done anything like this before, but the instructors were extremely encouraging and helpful when we switched to various forms, kicks and punches. I thought I'd be lost but the routine wasn't over complicated or overwhelming. I did the trail package and absolutely LOVED it! The workouts challenged me and really worked out my whole body. The instructors were encouraging and so fun! I didn't think this would be my thing, but I had such a great experience and this might turn into a new hobby. I currently can't afford a monthly membership. It's a bit pricy which is why I didn't give it the full 5 stars. However, I will definitely drop in again! They started doing $20 classes for walk ins which is a little more doable for my budget. Ghetto enviroment. Instructors are lost. Vulgar language. Too expensive. Mandatory 1 year or 6 month contract. No cancellations. Same repetitive class. no shoes or socks used. Peoples sweat all over your feet. Not very sanitary. If you keep your socks on you cant do the exercises because you slip. Didnt like it. So I've been needing to get back to the gym for a long time. (.... a long long freaking time) I go here and there between parenting and working, but I needed something new to try and keep me motivated, to go to steadily. I'd been seeing this iLoveKickboxing.com pop up in my newsfeed and hearing about it around town from some of the ladies I go to the YMCA with, so I thought i'd give it a try. My girlfriends mentioned if you hit up their webpage you could try a starter combo of five classes and a set of boxing gloves for thirty bucks. Since this gym is a pretty penny to sign up with regularly, I definitely wanted to try it out before signing a contact and committing. I signed up for the practice package, and took my first class on Saturday morning, and took my second class this morning at 9am. I have thoroughly enjoyed my classes, today more so because I got to participate in the full class. my positives takeaways: On your first day they'll put you 1:1 or 1:2 with an instructor to learn form and how to hit the bag- makes sense so you don't injure yourself! I took Turbo Kick for several years so I already knew the "punches" and "kicks" but had never really hit anything other than air. So for me I had to learn how to angle my hands the correct way, block my face and kick with the shin of my leg, rather than my foot. The instructors I've had both today and Saturday came around and were very helpful in helping my fix my form. One of the instructors today also wore a body bag (?) I think he called it and we punched and kicked him. "YOU WANT ME TO WHAT?!" I asked? "What if I kick you in the crotch?!" Luckily my aim wasn't too terrible and he was super encouraging so it was actually really fun! My arms and chest hurt SO bad already, in a good way. The gym is really close to my house. There are tons of class times, with the exception of Fridays and Sundays, and the classes that I attended had plenty of room, with extra bags left over. There is a super plush ladies locker room, with hair ties, deodorants, body spray, feminine products, etc. The mat seems clean, especially when you consider the fact that you must go barefoot. None of the workout equipment is torn up its all super nice, and new and in good condition. my things to consider: Since I still have three classes to go, I want to wait until the end of my trail period before I sign up as a full time member to make sure I really...really... not like, but LOVE it. Mostly because its a costly investment. The memberships start at something like $135 a month for unlimited access. I love the fact that it is unlimited though! I can tell that there are instructors I mesh super well with, and ones that don't really fit my fitness personality. I am a suburban born and raised woman, and the scariest thing thats ever happened to me is someone breaking into my car, okay? (HA!)- and some of the instructors were a little rough around the edges for me. I like peppy and loud encouragement but I don't like people yelling directly AT me. I've been getting to know the other gym members and asking how they enjoy their membership before I make a commitment. So far everyone really loves it, and so do I. read more

I love this workout! I've never enjoyed cardio before; my tagline was "If you see me running, you'd better run too." But not anymore. This workout is so much fun that the getting in shape part started to become a bonus. My clothes fit better, I feel better than I have in years, and I genuinely look forward to my time at the studio. I do wish the schedule was available on the website rather than just the facebook group. And I wish it was possible to see who was leading each class in advance, as I have some teachers I like more than others. As they grow, they're losing a bit of that "family" feel, but I growth is good and I guess it's to be expected. read more

This place is poorly managed, I cancelled my membership 2 months ago spoke with 2 different employees confirmed I was cancelled, they debit 250 out my account, called front desk told me I wasn't a member anymore however manager called stating I was, I sent all the messages I had from the coworker and they still refuse to refund me. My daughter and I were looking for something different to work out together other than just the usual boring gym workouts. She suggested kickboxing...so I nervously agreed to give this a try. All I can say is WOW!!! The entire workout is high energy and different every time. The instructors are amazing!! They are supper supportive, positive, and highly motivating!! I was looking for a way to take my workouts to another level. I so this ad in my news feed and decided to take my first class. After my first class I was hooked. You truly get a total body workout in those 60 minutes and great calorie burn if you give it a 100% effort. The staff is patient,friendly, approachable and fun. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because it is quite pricey for the membership, the instructors do not have mics so you sometimes miss the moves and there aren't a lot of locations to choose from. read more

Great place with great people! Love the environment! The trainers know what they are doing and are very good at explaining the movements and helping you with form and how to get more power out of your punches. Kept very clean on the mats and the entire building. Really have no complaints unless having to many burpees counts as one. Definitely recommend for anyone who is thinking of doing kickboxing! I've never been to a gym or workout studio where people genuinely treat you like family. They push you and motivate you to your goals everyday no matter if you're there or not. I was the type of person to get bored with my workouts and give up. I've now been going to iLoveKickboxing for a month now and can't get enough. There's even a body challenge right now that ups the anty. Best decision I every made signing up. I'm excited to see what the future holds! Update: My last review was true at the time. I'm sad to say it's not nearly that great now. Since then, there has been major mismanagement from both the former manager and the owners. In late February, the good instructors starting dropping out one by one. It soon came out that the former manager was running them out. Other members inquired to the owners what was going on. All they ever received was a generic response of "the were working to fix the problem". Well all they did was make it worse. They only have 1 good instructor left. I recently pulled my contract, as did at least 30 other people. It's definitely worth the money for the 3 or 5 classes. But please do yourself a favor and don't become a member. read more

This is such a great place to workout. I had gotten so bored going to Planet Fitness and found this. It pushes you and offers a great workout. If you stick with it you will lose weight and tone up. The instructors are all great (especially Iya and Obri). The hour goes by so fast and each day is different so you don't get bored. Definitely worth the money. read more

I really WANTED to love this place, but it fell short of expectations for me. Here's why: Pros: it's fun, I like using a real bag VS group fitness classes like body combat where you punch the air Cons: it is priced like a "boutique" gym, but you don't get the boutique atmosphere: *The instructors drop the F bomb, which I think is intended to create a "real boxing gym" feel, but we're in the middle of suburbia and the class is 85% women. No amount of cursing is going to make it a real boxing gym and most of us don't want to be cussed at. *The instructors don't have microphones and because of the bags you sometimes cannot see them or make out what it is that they are saying. *The classes get over crowded and you not only have to share a punching bag, but space is so limited that it becomes difficult to do kicks Etc without risking hitting your neighbor. This could be remedied by having students sign up for class with an app. Right now, it's just a free for all and an unlimited amount of people can show up. * it's all cardio, which is ok EXCEPT that it is so expensive and you have to have a membership somewhere else if you ever want to get some weight training in. I am an Orange a Theory member, but was looking to supplement that with something totally different. In the end, I will be upgrading my Orange theory membership to unlimited rather than signing up at Ilkb. Otf has microphones, Lysol wipes for cleaning, an app to prevent class overcrowding, cardio AND weight training, and they never use fowl language. If I'm going to pay Boutique prices, their offering is much better. read more

I am a new mom, and I wanted to get back in shape post baby. I knew my needs, and I needed something challenging, encouraging yet something to help keep me disciplined with the work outs. So I googled Kickboxing classes near me and I don't know why but I think it was the best thing a totally sleep deprived mom could do at 2am. In my results I saw Ilovekickboxing.com, and decided to check it out. They had a trial class they were offering, I went in to inquire about it and I was really scared I wouldn't't fit in or couldn't't do the workouts, but after talking with some of the staff and seeing their interactions with the customers, I thought I would give it a shot. My first day I was nervous, but they staff was so encouraging they helped me push through. At the end of the workout on the first day, I decided to sign up. I joined ilovekickboxing Bedford in March of 2018. I had recently moved to Texas, and was looking not only for a good workout, but a great community. I researched gyms and bootcamps around me, and was surprised at the amount of positive reviews I found EVERYWHERE for ilovekickboxing. I had never kickboxed before, but they were close to work, offered classes during my lunch break, and I could try it out for free. As soon as I walked through the door on my first day I was bombarded by LJ, who had enough energy for everyone in the room to share. He stuck by me during that first class, making sure I got the moves right and didn't get down on myself. I signed up that very day, and despite being so sore I couldn't walk down steps, went right back the next day. And I continue to go to class 5 days a week. I've lost inches, I feel great, and I can actually do push-ups now! Every morning I'm excited to pack my gym bag for class, and the community I've found at ilovekickboxing is second to none. read more
