Stopped by during my most recent trip to the mall. Tried their warm harvest latte which the barista said is one of their top sellers. It was definitely a great pick me up because it was strong coffee but the spices added a very holiday/fall feel. Different than what I've tried but still good if you like strong coffee. The mall wasn't crowded so we were able to sit down and enjoy ourselves. Good service. They have some pastries too but I didn't try any this time around. read more

Illy cafe was almost right at the center of the mall. Very close to kids play area and few other shops . We looked at the ice cream and decided to order one . Service was very slow :( had to wait for a long time ! Billing was slow too. Ice cream taste was good. They also sold carbonated drinks . Good experience overall . 4 stars . Conveniently located inside American mall.. fantastic products and great service. Nice and quick and very helpful staff . . Parking in the small is a big headache and also time-consuming, especially on weekends and peak hours... the mall is slightly away from South Jersey and Central Jersey within an hour drive.. Small shop in American Dream mall that makes great coffee , service is lacking and it isn't well maintained. Their macarons are like rubber! There is seating nearby They offer cakes and pastries , hot and iced drinks. Maybe additional staffing on busy days may help their service decline. read more

I got the Iced Vanilla Latte and enjoyed the rich coffee flavor and overall silky smoothness of the drink that mixes well with the sweet vanilla taste. Overall, it's an awesome place to chill and have a nice drink towards the start of the shopping experience that is the American Dream mall or a drink you can grab to get you ready for that long 20+ min. line for Jollibee. Pros - Excellent deep notes of coffee, silky smooth texture, and bits of sweetness provides an overall great introduction to Illy brand coffee - Cafe itself has its own area with plenty of seating, making you want to lounge a bit and plan the day. - Great view of the node of the mall where it's placed, giving you perfect space to people watch, see all options of restaurants, etc. - Staff know what their doing and were super nice and accommodating to serve me past the 9:30pm closing Cons - Not their fault but tables and floor easily get dirty due to traffic but I did see attempts to keep things clean. Cafe illy is a 2 for me. The only reason it's a 2 is because of one employee. She has colored eyes and I noticed hearing aids. She was super sweet and maintained a well conversation. Great coffee, perfect amount of richness and sweetness for me. I was transported to the Italian coast. The chocolate croissant is delicious. The macarons tasted very good, but they were a little chewy. However, you know what you're in for as they tell you beforehand that the macarons are chewy due to the "high quality of flour". They need more help. I've waited in a line just for them to assist other people coming up around the perimeters of the stand. On top of that, they're in a rush and don't give a receipt and then ask for it when preparing your order. Really disappointed. read more

Watch out Starbucks! You're time has come to be the next Blackberry, the next Detroit, the next IBM, the next GE! If you want good coffee without worrying about finding the right specialty house Illy is the place to go! This coffee is very similar to the one they serve in Europe! Those of us that have had Illy in Europe and longed for it to be in the US, it's FINALLY HERE (at least in NJ)! The coffee is rich, smooth, little after taste (unlike Starbucks), isn't bitter or sour (unlike Starbucks) and the flavor is creamy, vanilla-ry, with hazelnut over-tones and some toffee. This is Tiger Woods (Illy) vs. the country club pro that talks big -- would've, should've, could've (Starbucks)! I agree that it seems like illy is currently understaffed, but apart from that they are the absolute best. I personally talked the owner when he was working there, and he is a very kind man. Every time I'm there the customer service is great, and the latte I always get is probably the best I have ever had. I would definitely recommend this business to anyone else. read more
