Well , we liked illuminations for the layout and displays. You can really get a feeling of choices. But the light sets we liked was $100. Less for the pair at least 2 other places. With no 3 week wait period or 4 pct credit card fee. Not that much but things have an influence. Definitely a great place to start looking. read more

Lots of lights, lots of styles. Mostly contemporary designs, though. They also now do furniture, mostly sofas that I could tell. Very expensive place. The gentleman is helpful and friendly. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs! read more

We needed some lightbulbs for an old track lighting fixture. After trying big boxes and Amazon it occurred to us to try a specialty store. The woman who helped me spent lots of time with me. She suggested an alternative and then checked the wattage of what was in their storage. Finally had to order some and she phoned the supplier before placing the order. It arrived in the anticipated 2 week time frame and they phoned me as promised. Told them that I would recommend them to anyone possible because, though I was only spending 100$, I was treated as if I were spending 1000$. Not sure what happened when others below had poor service because my experience was 5 star. read more

I strongly suggest anyone in Tucson or Pima County check out Illuminations if shopping for lighting fixtures or fans. They are one of the best lighting fixture stores I've seen in Tucson. Brittany helped us on our two visits to the showroom to customize a light fixture for our dining room. She has an excellent design sense, and is incredibly knowledgeable about lighting fixtures and fans beyond what is even available in their inventory, which is robust. We're looking forward to getting our new light fixture as well as additional light fixtures and fans from her. A visit to Illuminations is a must for anyone looking for a light fixture or a fan. They also have really cool accessories and furniture. read more

This review is my review based on the interactions with this business. I would not recommend this business to anyone looking for lighting, ceiling fans or any other household furnishing. We purchased a ceiling fan from this company back in February 22nd and waited about 2-3 weeks for delivery (to the store, not my home, which means a 45 minute drive). I installed the fan a few weeks later and immediately noticed it was not operating properly. The fan would violently shake and make popping sounds. The fan would shake so much that the LED light eventually popped off. On April 13th I called Illuminations and was told I would I have a new fan control ordered to see if it would fix the issue. I was told we would try this first then if it didn't work we would replace the whole fan. I waited 15 days before a new part was available which it wasn't shipped to me, it meant another 45 minute drive. At this point my wife and I decided to go another route and we returned the fan. Now we were never told there were any refund stipulations or restrictions. Now we were only given a store credit instead of a refund. Why would I want to buy another item from a company who sold me a defective item then required me to make multiple trips in order to fix the problem? Again this is my interaction with Illuminations, but I would not recommend this store to anyone. Do yourself a favor and find a big box store or another retailer. read more

Modern and chic, Illuminations is the perfect way to collaborate with knowledgeable and professional design specialists to realize your design vision! I was very pleased to see a gorgeous array of furniture design options as well as lighting. I went in to look at lighting and ended up with a modern chandelier and stayed to consult with the team on furniture design (hint, the sky is the limit!) It can be challenging to find a more cosmopolitan store in our lovely little town but Thomas, and Illuminations deliver a curated and seamless experience that rivals any larger city. I will definitely be back for all future interior decor projects! read more

I walked into the beautiful showroom and saw one gentlemen working with another customer who appeared to be choosing lighting for her entire home. He did not speak to me as I browsed the store. I would have hoped for at least a "hello, I'm busy at the moment. I can ask someone else to help you or ??" After spending about 10 minutes walking around, I left. Won't be going back. read more

We have been very impressed with Illuminations. Maggi Parker assisted us with our decisions on 7 new overhead fans and 2 new bathroom lighting fixtures. Some came in right away, but we had to wait a few weeks for the others. Maggi and her colleagues kept us up to date on delivery. After our electrician installed everything, we did have noise problems with 2 of the fans, which Illuminations handled with the fan manufacturer to get replacements. VERY good customer service! read more

We drove to this store this morning from the Oro Valley area. Walked in around 11am and did a counter clockwise walkthrough of the store. We passed two employees who were both apparently doing something important at their computers. Both employees looked up and gave us a quick hello and that was it. No other effort to get up and introduce themselves or offer us any type of assistance whatsoever. We were looking to replace our dining room chandelier with a budget around $3K. We did not see anything in the showroom that matched what we wanted. I commented to my spouse that they probably had catalogs that we could peruse, but the lack of service was off putting. We decided to leave and do not plan to come back. Two stars only because they had a nice showroom. read more

Ever have a hard to find item to service a lamp or in our case a Coach lamp on the exterior of our house. Mike took really good care of us and didn't give up when the manufacturer sent the wrong part and then insisted we were wrong?? Good old fashioned customer service! Ask for Mike! read more

Walked in to store today to purchase lighting products. Staff never acknowledged our existence, let alone ask if we needed anything. It was almost as if we were upsetting them that we had come in so close to lunchtime. No other customers in the store, yet the 3 elderly employees there at the front desk never greeted us or asked if they could help. Will not be going back. Probably better to just order something from Amazon cheaper and not care about any customer service. I would not have clicked one star if given that choice. read more

They offer a ton of options, and provide friendly and attentive service. We ordered a fan that wasn't in stock, but they phoned us when it was ready and helped put it in the truck. Illuminations made the process simple! read more

Had to replace the bulbs on a previous purchase and it was quite complicated. Thomas did a great job getting the correct parts ordered and replacing them for us in the store. Great customer service! read more

I needed some under cabinet lights for our newly redone kitchen. I had gone to another place that I had used previously and found them clueless but I did find a sample of what I wanted. I got the cutsheets on the lights and did my own research on what I needed and discussed it with my electrician who agreed that these would work. When I went to Illuminations, and spoke with Linda. She was knowledgeable and knew the product line and ordered them for me. What a delight after my previous experience. read more

Appreciated that they had signs at entrance to wear a mask (which we did). We were looking for kitchen pendant lights and a replacement patio fan.The beautiful showroom had a large selection of both plus tons of catalogues as well. The sales folks are knowledgable and patient. We weren't able to buy the "perfect" pendents from them, however ended up buying a Mika Aire fan with their June sales promotion. In addition they had several recommended contractor electricians to install the fan and our other items. We went with Custom Electric and are very pleased with them as well. read more

Thomas was the salesperson who helped my husband and I choose light fixtures or fans for every room in our new home. He was very kind, patient, and listened to our every need and want. Everything is installed and looks perfect. We will definitely shop here forever thanks to Thomas and his great customer care! read more

The manager contacted us and tried to fix the issues. There is no 18" downrod that works with the fan we got - if the correct one had been ordered in the beginning, then we would have known before it was installed and we would have gone with a different fan. As it is, we have a less than perfect fan in our main room. If I don't point it out then a majority of people may not notice. Secondly, they refunded the restocking fee. The manufacturer says that the light kit does work with that fan - but they couldn't tell me how to attach it without rewiring the fan, that too would have been nice to know ahead of time. All-in-all, things could have been handled differently and I'm sure people will have good experiences, I just am not one of them. I added a star since the effort was made to make it right - but not possible with the same fixtures. read more

We purchased lighting from them in the past and came in today walked around the store for 15 minutes and was not even greeted by either of the employees. We stood patiently by their counter and not one person looked up to even say " we will be with you soon" We were ready to choose our home lighting! Sorry to say we Will NOT be back there! read more

Used mask and really had great customer service as well as a perfect selection for anyone!!! Best place to shop in Tucson!!!

FABULOUS customer service. We have bought 4 fan/light combos from them. They took their time with us to make sure it was the right fan for our home. We will definitely be buying more from them read more

Maggie has helped us select fans and chandeliers for our previous house and our new house. She's always guided us to just what we were looking for. read more

Upscale. Overpriced and snooty. Wear a suit if you want to be waited on or given any help at all. Be happy to spend my money elsewhere.

Ugh. this place used to be decent. Customer service just sucks now. Unhelpful, sarcastic, no class people working there. And what the hell is with the selection?! Does the ghost of Liberace do the buying for this place? Very tacky inventory, and sadly it is now pretty much as crappy as Sun and Northside... Oh well, yet another thing to have to drive to Phoenix to shop for. read more

Don't buy from them. They sell crap and don't stand behind it. Bought a ceiling fan, our electrician installed, remote didn't work. They could not have cared less. read more

Illuminations is a wonderful store. I wouldn't go anywhere else to buy my lighting fixtures, fans, and lamps after shopping here for five years. I met Thomas on my first trip to the store and have worked with him ever since on all my remodeling projects. He is very personable, professional, and knows the extensive inventory through the various vendors quite well. He is fun to work with and extremely conscientious about every facet of the order. His sense of design is also great. Prices are competitive, and with the excellent customer service, I would never go elsewhere. THANK YOU THOMAS for making my remodeling and redecorating so much fun, affordable, and enjoyable! read more

We have been going to Illuminations for several years now. Every time we buy new fans, ceiling lights or table lamps we go to see Thomas. He has great design sense and if we don't see what we are looking for in the store he will help us find it in a catalog. Thomas followed up and made sure that our kitchen lights, bathroom lights, ceiling fans, and garage lights we installed by a licensed professional. Over the years Thomas has helped us add new lighting to our entire house and it was all hassle free. Thank you Thomas! Carol and Don read more

We got 3 lovely chandeliers from Illuminations. The selection is terrific and design advice is excellent too. We worked with Maggi who was very helpful in picking fixtures that would fit together in our new house. Illuminations also arranged for installation too and that was well done. We definitely recommend Illuminations and will go back for our lighting needs. read more

Illuminations is a great lighting store. The staff offers very good customer service, the kind you just won't experience at the big box stores, and I found the prices to be competitive. If you want well-made lighting fixtures or lamps, and an extensive selection in the store and through catalogs, then check out this store. The manager, Thomas, even came to my property to survey the lighting needs for a remodel and measure the height of the ceilings, and he did not charge for an on-site visit. I really don't understand the few negative reviews here because I had a very positive experience. I'm very happy with my new lights and I will come back again! read more

LOVE this store. Since we moved into our new house I have bought three ceiling fans and a few light covers. They have a great selection of lights and fans to choose from and they arrive quickly once they order them. They are not snooty at all. I go in every time in tshirt and jeans. I find their employees to be very knowledgeable and helpful. I bought two wall sconces with European sockets from a different vendor. They were the only place in town that had adaptors to allow standard light bulbs to work, and they gave them to me for free. I will continue to be a loyal customer at Illluminations. great selection, just overpriced. If you want a similar selection and better prices try Northside Lighting on Ft. Lowell.

Terrible business practice. Do not shop here. They are not clear about return policy and will not return their product. 10 day return policy is ridiculous and they are not upfront about it at all! read more

Helpful, good selection, more expensive than your big box stores. Thomas is good may have to wait your turn. They can get tons of stuff that maybe hard to find elsewhere. four stars for priceing read more

The absolute best place in town for all your lighting needs. The prices are reasonable, the selection is fantastic and ordered items are always in on schedule.
