Unbeknown to me as to why, besides prior experience…read more Now granted, Rick Chao himself, installed my cabinets and for the majority of the work he addressed most of my concerns. However, I wish he would have designed our cabinets. Upon taking delivery and initial install, the builder specifically spelled out on the floor the appropriate dimensions for the bathroom vanities and ended up being oversized and had to remove and receive some sort of credit (still wondering how my handles supposedly offset that), but my primary gripe with this whole endeavor is that I feel my cabinets were unfinished. Excuse I received was that the proposal they put together was for a 2cm countertop (which they did not receive the bid) and I ended up going with a 3 cm countertop and they said that because the cabinets were designed with a 2 cm that the plywood ended up not being finished due to raising the countertop. Now, in my entire experience of constructing a new home; it is evident to me that there is no accountability for any of the subcontractors I've dealt with. Hence, I'm struggling to recommend these folks yet I'll still give them a decent review because they appropriately know how to charge and not back up the 'white glove' delivery per their bid. Rick is an awesome guy; but felt like he was trying to convince me to not patch the exposed OSB to not make it look like it was a cabinet issue but more of a countertop issue. So buyer beware of their lack of accountability. It was proposed that I should quote a stainless steel finish to make it look the countertop guys screwed up.

The rest of the job was done onsite. He came everyday, worked for hours and produced as little mess as possible while doing a job that is inherently messy and dusty. Pedro is the consummate carpenter. He is particular about his work and the results are stunning. We also had him refinish our front door which is carved. The quality of his work was excellent. We had Donald and his crew come and install Kitchen Cabinets we purchased from Window Depot. Donald showed up on the agreed date and installed in a single day. We have an old house(built in 1954) with uneven floors, walls, and ceilings. Donald was able to make everything look level and plumb. There were small details he got to look very good. For example my ceiling slopes. Donald matched the slope of the ceiling when installing crown molding. It is a simple thing, but most would just leave the cabinet top open I think. I have had MULTIPLE people point out that detail and remark how cool it was he did that. I totally recommend both Donald for your cabinet installing needs.

Another contractor made two appointments and failed to show both times. A third contractor came to our house on time, but then said he only does whole kitchens, not modifications. He was clearly fishing for work because I'd already told him it was a modification only. I then looked at the Better Business Bureau and found Anything Wood. It was highly rated so I called. Wayne from Anything Wood arrived on time the first time and presented us with an estimate in fairly short order. The estimate was slightly more than another estimate we'd obtained and it was the best money spent! The work done was excellent, on time and on budget. Wayne's crew, including Omar, was outstanding! Nobody but the installers were in the home. And, they admitted to having been who cleaned whatever it was. Flooring Direct sent over a product for cleaning the stain. I asked the owner to replace the section of carpet where the installers spilled something. No, Navid refused. Sleazebag owner operator. Then he sends me the invoice with updated charges with a payment due date which was 5 days in the past making it seem like I am overdue even though the job was not complete yet. This owner/manager will make arrangements for the installation but he will not stand behind the damages that his installers caused. Who wants brand new carpet that have had a soda or dirt spilled on it? I don't go to a clothes store and expect to buy new underwear which comes with a skid mark... Go elsewhere or be the next victim of this shoddy business. Here is how Navid, the Owner, handled the refund due to defective service and faulty materials. No content is anything different than what was actually sent to me or from me. This unhinged communique took 1 week after the Owner, Navid, was to have mailed me a refund for defective merchandise. Me: "No check has been received yet..." Navid: "I waited to see if you would respond. Zelle would have been fast and easy. I mailed it out yesterday. I hope this does not frustrated you." Me: "Yet another passive aggressive attempt to mess things up... Hopefully you can not muster any more incompetence in this matter. It is beyond frustrating." Navid: "I actually helped you more that you can imagine. So shame your anger has caused you to see things clearly I asked a simple question. Why was it so hard to answer? Take a pill. I actually helped you more than you can imagine. It's a shame your anger has kept you from seeing things clearly. I only asked a simple question--why was it so hard to answer? Maybe you need to take a step back and calm down." Me: "Once again, just send me the funds so that I can be done dealing with you. I have more important things to tend to than being dicked around by some lowly shopkeeper." Navid: "Careful little boy. Check was mailed out. I am just getting sick of your nonsense. I am out of town. I make sure I call you personally to deal with your unjust words and personal attack once I get back. I feel so sorry for you. I am sure your childhood must have been a unpleasant one. Take a pill Me: "F**k off kindly." Navid: "Definitely. Must be a childhood issue. How bad was it??" I had to block him as he continued making personal attacks and by name calling. In Closing: Is this a person that you trust to have your email, phone number and address? Is this a business person that you can feel comfortably to provide fair, professional service? I think not! This man is unhinged. Beware.

We hired Flooring Direct to refloor our approximately 700 sqft living room with tile. The most…read moredifficult part of the job would be the curving steps into this space as you can see in the pictures. Where others said it couldn't be done or offered solutions that were not tile, Flooring Direct said they could do it. I'll admit that it was a challenge to fully conceptualize how to do it but working with Moji and our installer, Jose, I believe the results justify the effort. The old carpet quickly came out and the initial part of the tile that was straight went in in about two days. Jose spent some time cutting and grinding to get the tiles to match the curving steps but was all finished by the following Friday. Jose and his assistant, Gustavo, were both courteous & professional throughout the project as was Moji who came by often to check on the progress and to be sure we were satisfied with how it was coming together. All the steps from tile selection through scheduling, layout, designing transitions, grout selection and final cleanup, were all pleasant. Would not hesitate to use them in the future and highly recommend them for your consideration.

Overall, if you want a friendly service to do a fair job of cleaning your house at a high price, Time Maid Cleaning will meet your needs.

Be for you hire this company to put a closet in for you. Hear are a couple things you should know. If you have any small children that climb and try to climb on shelves or any other part. The hole thing can rip right out if wall do to being poorly anchored to the wall. The wood is cheap partical bord. The hard wear they use is cheap cheap and all comes from China or Taiwan. They have to hook in to your house power to run there equipment and make attempts to compensate you for the use of their customers power. The biggest one of all are all the Osha safety violation that this company allows there employees to get a way with from improper PPE to saws missing guards extension cords with exposed wire or electrical tape all up. No GFI used when they plug in to someone house risking the home owner costly repairs if shorts out. If you complain to them that there work was shit or know ever showing up with missing peace or to fix something that was there screw up. Say something about how what they charge does not represent the quality of work or material. You can bet you will never hear from them again. Why they pray on older people who are less likely to cause problems for them. The owner Joe who claims to be all about Family fired one of his Installers Single parent of an autistic 8 year old and twin 4 year Olds through a text message then when the gentleman asked about his last check Joe tells him he is going to mail it. Witch is Joe way of trying to get out of paying someone there earned and owed money. Take all this in before you right Closet Trends a check or let them near or in your home. Make sure you get everything in writing and set time limits other wise you could be living with a half done Closet for a long time. read more

We have been refreshing our home this year for the 2nd time since we have owned our home. Our two bathrooms were finished so we decided to have our closets redone in our three bedrooms. We contacted a friend that works at closet trends and he put us in contact with Cynthia Ortega. Cynthia came out to our home and wrote down all the dimension of the closets and asked us what we were looking to do. She gave us some tips on what would work with what we wanted and had it designed. We liked the design and authorized the work. They told us it would take two days to complete and they were right on. Their crew came out and got to work. When they were finished, I couldn't believe how everything came together. It looked great and was very functional. Money well spent! I have to give Nikko, one of the installers great praise. Jacque, the owner, came to our home and took the time to ask us how we like to use our closet and what we were looking to accomplish. Within a few days she presented us with a complete design and went over it to show us how it would fit our needs. We were very impressed with the design! At that point we agreed on a very fair price and she set us up for a construction date. As expected, her installers arrived on-time, were extremely polite and respectful of our home. They were very quiet, clean and efficient. The project was done in about four hours and the final product looked marvelous. After we picked out what we wanted Cynthia came out and confirmed our measurements and she knows her job. The installation went smoothly, the crew was polite and before they even started they went over our contract and drawings to ensure they were installing what we had wanted and ordered. Fabulous experience building my custom closet!! Renee the designer was on time and professional as well as very organized. Joe and Amy did a great job setting expectations and were able to schedule install fairly soon after consultation. Their pricing is great! Taylor and Mario came the first day for tear out. I left them some paint and they took out all of the existing shelving, repaired the drywall and painted. They did a good job cleaning up after themselves. The following day, Nicco and Deonte did the install and I can't say enough nice things about their work. I have spent most of my career supervising and criticizing construction work and I couldn't find a thing wrong. They were efficient and clean and the job was 100% complete when they left. Mary Ann was wonderful! Came to the house twice, spent lots of time with the wife going over options. Took 3 days to install, lots of defects and scratches, Mary Ann came out to look it over, found more things then we did. Had the installers come back out for a fourth day, fixed some of the defects, left a lot. For over $9000 I think there are better options in hindsight. For that kind of money there should be no defects what so ever! And for sure the installers should not be talking about strip clubs while my kids are in the house. Workers didn't let us know they were leaving, so we couldn't check their work, just disappeared and vanished. A handy man with any talent could have done the same thing with the cheap Home Depot kits if planned out correctly. Reply and i will be more then happy to share photos. read more

Don't use this company. Shoddy craftsmanship at best. Missing parts never received. Broken shelves positioned to hide the damage. 25k job for a mess. I nearly had to physically remove the owner, Joe from our home. I should have known from the first day I walked in the store. He continually interrupted his sales woman, talking over her and being pushy. I think he REALLY needed this job. Who covers their warranty when they're out of business? Thanks to Closet Trends my downsizing move to a townhouse is finally working. A total redesign of the master closet, updated linen closet and laundry area, and new garage cabinets are all awesome. Professional, thorough, and helpful throughout the process. Totally worth the investment. I know I'll be back for a guest room Murphy bed in the future. read more

Good from start to finish, from Cynthia's design plan to clean up after installation. Employees showed up on time, worked diligently (hardly spoke to me because they were so on task!), Communication with office staff was excellent. If you need a new closet, these are the folks to do it! read more

This is the best company to have your kitchen remodel by. They have quality cabinets, hardware, and countertops, with reasonable prices and a great crew of workers. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants their kitchen done right.. I so appreciated that Dan listen to what I wanted to have done in my kitchen and he made it happen at a reasonable price and quality materials. He saw my vision and made great suggestions but never pushed something I didn't want. There were time as the progress was going that I was in tears of joy with how it was coming together. I was so happy with the look, the people and job they were doing. Richard, Cesar, Raul and Martin installed the cabinets quickly and very effectively, even with a minor change that I asked them to do. They quickly did the change without making me feel I was wrong in asking. Great group of fellows that work so well together to get it accomplished. First tears of joy for how beautiful the cabinets were and looked. Miguel, Max, Jose and Victor were the crew that installed my granite countertops. I sort of made it a challenge for them asking that the largest counter not have a seam in it, but be a completely one piece. They did it so nicely. As they installed, the second tears happen for how beautiful it looked. Melissa took all my phone calls and answered all my questions I had, never me feel that any of them were trivial. I loved working with her, so easy to get along with. Only have one before picture. But what a change!

If you're expecting dedicated staff who pay attention to detail, you won't find it here. If you're looking for a company that prioritizes your best interests, I'd advise moving on. The idea that a small kitchen should be measured properly and completed within a reasonable timeframe is simply not part of their approach. If you want your kitchen to be the heart of your home without exceeding timelines and budgets, avoid this business. The prices are some of the most inflated prices in the local area - You can find better prices, business ethics, and much more competent employees with other companies in Tucson. Over the course of 8 months, there were constant staff changes--people were fired, reassigned, many people quit and the new hire PM was completely unprepared and had zero clue what she was talking about. So my designer got fired, I went through 2 different construction managers, four installers and the incompetent PM. While the owner himself handled a portion of the cabinet installation and was detailed in his work, that's where the positives ended. To make matters worse, I was required to pay 90% of the cabinet price three months before they even began making the necessary repairs and replacements. After the holidays I was contacted to pay the remaining 10% because they are in need of money for the business and I told them that I wasn't going to pay until the job was 100% complete. Also on the website it states "in business for 22 years." This is very misleading because the owner has only had the company for 3 years with only the name of the company being around for 22 years. Who does business like that? This company--Southwest Kitchen & Bath-- Is going to go out of business soon, and this business is one to avoid!!

We bought a house with a kitchen clearly done in two stages, one side of the kitchen was dates, but…read moregood quality cabinets. The other side was incredibly cheap. The bottom of the drawer was bowing when I put silverware in the drawer, and had features, such as a large wine rack that we didn't need. We were looking for someplace that could reface part of the kitchen, and completely demo and rework the other side. We had a wonderful experience with Southwest Kitchen & Bath. Our sales person Lisa was wonderful to work with, triple confirming all the measurements so everything came in right the first time. Since everything had to be made custom, the total project was about 12 weeks, but the stages were clearly communicated up front, and we didn't have to clear out of the kitchen until after the new cabinets arrived, so the down time really wasn't too bad. We requested a few changes mid project, such as under cabinet lighting. Lisa and our project coordinator Katy were very helpful with suggesting what they could offer, but also options we could do ourselves if we wanted to go that route. We felt supported, not pressured, into changes that in the end we really love. Attaching a few in-progess photos, I'll try to update with some finished project photos later.

We have purchased carpet from Complete Flooring on three separate occasions. The second carpet we…read morepurchased we noticed the steps were loose and needed stretched. When they installed the third carpet which was over a year after the carpet was installed we asked the installer to look at it and fix it. He addressed the steps during that installed. In December we called as the steps were wrinkled again and the top landing area and asked if someone could come out and fix it so it doesn't ruin the backing on the carpet. The person at the store said they would send someone out to check it out and it was Roy. This was mid December 2023. He said he would get back to us in a week and said that the carpet was installed 2 1/2yrs ago and they only have a 2 year warranty but he would see what he could do. We followed up several times and they said we are working on it and will get back to you with a proposal?!? Finally after another call in the morning on January 20th (1 month later!) Roy was busy with a customer and called back in the afternoon with a proposal for $600 that included $100 discount to re-stretch the carpet. I can not figure out how carpet would need to be re-stretched multiple times which tells me it was not stretched well enough when it was installed. We have more carpet & flooring to purchase and I am sorry but this is very petty to charge to address what we feel is an installation issue. There are too many flooring companies out there and we will NOT be returning with our business.

It was a little disappointing that the gutter did not match the rest of the awning, but it wasn't a huge deal and the only reason I didn't rate 5 stars. I would recommend the company and would use them again if we need more work done in the future.

I was coming back from a work trip a day early to meet them. I receive a call the same morning saying that they're sick and can't make it. Then we set another time. The night before they call me to say they have another job they have to bid. Obviously that customer must have been more important than me. I had this set up on the one day I was home. I requested a call back about them cancelling on me twice and nothing. Unreliable company, do not call them. Ended up buying a 4K pergola from someone else. They actually showed up, it was so simple and a great price.

Susan (our design/consultant) was able to incorporate our specific requests into the overall design and provided a very detailed project cost estimate; Rachelle (office manager) provided a comprehensive project timeline. Best of all- our complete kitchen renovation project was completed 1 day AHEAD of schedule and at the agreed-to budget. The construction crew was on time every day, very professional and competent, and thoroughly cleaned up the project area daily. We can't recommend Bretts highly enough!
