Recommend! Got a stealth PPF for the wife's black Mach E here, and was very pleased with the final product. They seem to run a good shop, which is probably why its filled with expensive cars every time I visited. I had got a few quotes for PPF and felt that the price here was quite reasonable. Only complaint was that the car took forever to get PPF'd. I did drop it there straight from buying it at the dealership, and they did mention that they'd only be able to start the following week. But it still took about 3 weeks after that to turn around, which was longer than the 2 weeks that I was initially quoted. I'm a bit surprised by that given other reviews are mentioning their cars were done quicker. In any case, I would rather they take their time and do a good job rather than rushing. I would bring my Cayman here to get PPF'd now, but I already have a bunch of chips. If I ever get another sports car I will likely bring it here. read more

If the system would allow, I would give it 0 stars. Finally ended up paying to get it redone. To be expected with untrained hands:installers as PPF or wrap of any kind does involve them using knives to score the film. More often right ontop of the paint. There are cuts in my paint panels. These types of things are generally -masked- with the film installed but once removed, you see it Very disappointed in this. For those interested in film installs, just keep this in mind when you vet out your installer. They are using *x-acto* type knives to score the film on the car. It takes a skilled hand to do it. read more

Excellent service, and even better people. I was told it would take 5-7 business days for tints and a roof wrap but they knocked it out in a day! Communication was on point, whether reaching out through text or email you'll get a response right away. As far as pricing goes, best believe Illmatic isn't the cheapest on the block but unless you're trying to be that guy that tints fade to purple in a year, bubbles all over the place looking like your car got leprosy you get what you pay for. I was tired of awkwardly avoiding eye contact in my fishbowl of a car after I'd cut someone off and they'd pull up next to me at the red light so I went in to Illmatic to get a full tint job - 20% around and 35% on the windshield. Now when I cut someone off only to be caught at the next light, I can confidently look over at them, see the void in their eyes of not being able to get the satisfaction of staring me down and know that they'll lose sleep at night thinking of the win that never was. I've never owned a bmw but this is probably how they feel all the time. I get it now. Delusional confidence. If you've ever been in a car with subpar tints you'll know what I'm talking about. Illmatic deals with Xpel and it's definitely the way to go. As mentioned before we've all seen that dude who's rockin the purple faded cracked tints and said to ourselves "that ain't it." No judgements if you about them but lets be real now. Some tints will be dark from the inside out, driving at night is a game of I'm going to hope for the best. I was worried about that being an issue but the guys assured me this would be different. Best believe it, I drove at night and forgot I even had tints. Better yet, glare from streetlights and headlights is now nonexistent. We've all gotten into a car on a hot summer's day and immediately regretted it, that shower you just took 15 minutes ago is now invalid and you lookin like you fresh out a gatorade commercial. 2022 Tesla Model X Plaid Crashed I entrusted Illmatic Wraps with my 2 week old 2022 Tesla Model X Plaid and have regretted that decision for almost 2 months now. What should have been such a happy experience turned into an absolute nightmare. I brought my brand new 2022 Tesla Model x Plaid to get wrapped with Xpel stealth protective film. A week after I dropped my car at Illmatic Wraps, I got a call from Batista the shop owner referred to as DJ that another car had hit it. I found out that my car was parked at a no parking zone on a busy street in front of the shop with an employee inside before it had been side swiped. Yes, it was there for a week without being wrapped or worked on at all. They even lied to me and told me they had installed 5 panels of PPF already and unfortunately for DJ that lie would come to light a few short hours later when I had to show up to look at the damages sustained at illmatic. After the shock wore off, I spoke with the owner about our options. Initially, he promised the world but pretty soon withdrew his offerings. Unfortunately, the person who hit my car had horrible insurance so the damages would have to come out of pocket. Because the damages happened while my vehicle was under the shops possession while an employee was in the car at the time of the accident as stated on the police report and for my own financial security, I asked to go through their business insurance which would cover the damages. That was refused. They tried to pay the difference between the womens insurance and the balance owed for the repairs after trying to get me to repair the vehicle at one of their friends shops which was not tesla certified basically now risking my manufacture warranty on a brand new car. In the end, Illmatic didn't do anything to fix the repairs. Some background on me, I am a very meticulous person. I did a ton of research and read every single review out there about this shop. I even looked up how wraps are done just so that I can understand the process and know what is being done to my car. I found no bad reviews so decided to move forward w the shop. I had conversations w the owner while my car was at the shop asking if my car was safe numerous times. While this to some may be over the top, I guess I had good reason to ask. I understand that some of you might see this as a one off and there is no way this would happen again but would you really trust your brand new car at a shop knowing this history? My 2 week old car was taken to the Tesla Collision Center and was fixed after 3 weeks. Now I happily have my car back after this 2 month ordeal unfortunately with an accident in its Carfax do to the shops negligence. 0/10 across the board would not recommend. False information from business owners comment below (police report added) ⁃ The vehicle was parked on a busy street at a no parking zone as stated in the police report. ⁃ After first declining owners personal loaner, I did go back to the owner asking for the loaner vehicle over that same weekend when realizing the car was gonna be out of my procession for weeks to months . His response was to go through insurance that he's not responsible. When realizing I wasn't going to have a rental after weeks, I got my own. After this point is when the other car was offered. ⁃ We had to go through our own insurance since the other party's insurance couldn't cover the full repairs. Not only have we lost value in our car after 2 weeks of ownership but we also have to deal with the increase in insurance premium which is why I wanted to go through your business insurance which you refused to even give me the name of. ⁃ This is comical. You claim you had to take a loss on XPEL PPF film. You clearly told me that you had this film in house since you have a "strong" relationship with XPEL as you stated the day I dropped the car off and that you supposedly wrap Teslas all the time. For such a common PPF film, how are you claiming to take a loss? Once again another one of your lies. Based on what you are saying, you can take a deposit from a customer, not install PPF film, allow damage to vehicles in your possession, and keep the deposit? read more

It's been a little over a month since I had my car wrapped and had to write a review of my overall experience. I brought my 2020 Audi A5 Sportsback in for a full hood and front bumper clear paint protection wrap. First off, when working with any shop, customer service is paramount. When speaking with the office manager and owner, they took the time to address all my questions and offer their honest feedback without trying to sell me services that I wasn't looking for. There's no artificial pushy sales reps here. From the owners to the installers, everyone is incredibly friendly and seems like a great synergy. Now in terms of the quality of their work, my experience has been excellent. They were able to wrap the full hood in one piece (despite the size and vertical lines extending throughout the full hood, making the wrap more difficult) and I can't tell where the hood or fender is wrapped at all, even at close inspection. They fully wrap all parts and tuck underneath the panels so you see no breaks between the wrap and paint. Illmaticwrap is also an authorized installer of Xpel, which comes with a 10 yr manufacturer warranty. The shop also stands by their work and will address any questions or concerns that you may have, they 100% work to ensure you're happy with the experience and I 100% was/am. They even offer to stand by their install and address any defects for three years after install and I'm sure if you had any issues after the fact, they're not the shop that's going to leave you out hanging. My one recommendation is, if you have existing paint chips, depending on how visible they are, combined with the size and depth, you might want to consider bringing the car into a body shop or detailing shop for a full paint correction. They were able to blend a few small but deep nicks in my hood, but a full paint correction would need to be managed by a body shop to 100% eliminate the defects. If you're getting your car wrapped with a color wrap, then this is a moot point as the wrap will hid the nick. I'm incredibly happy I brought my baby to this shop and would work with them again / recommend then without any hesitation. I tried attaching a few pics, car was a little dirty and not great lighting, but you can how there's no line breaks and can't tell which panels are wrapped. read more

My wife recently purchased a Mercedes G Wagon! It was a very long process between finding one to be able to test drive, and then when we did find one, making the decision to order one and wait 18 months or just buy it even though it was a color she hated. His Instagram was on fire with vehicles he has done and after having a LONG conversation with him in the phone, we decided to make the two hour trip up to his shop to get some ideas and see his work. We got to see the type of vehicles he had there, how clean and organized his shop is, how well his crew cares for the cars, and the final product of different cars that were wrapped. While we were there, we just vibed with him really well. She knew she didn't want a plain solid color, but she didn't really know what she wanted! DJ was so patient in making sure she saw all of her options and pulling up past work to guide her in making her final decision. Once the color was picked, the deposit was left, and the date was picked, we nervously left our month old vehicle to be dismantled and and wrapped by DJ! It was just impossible to tell there was a film. (I have done my PPFs before on my other telsa and always seen the edge of the film, but his job was perfect.) No bubbles no seams. I knew this was it and I went for it. Had to reschedule once as I had to refuse my delivery from Tesla as they did a terrible paint job on the first car. But DJ was very understanding and rescheduled with no problem. Got it done a few days ago and picked it up. I rarely say perfect but it was. Couldn't believe my eyes but it was. I was told that there was a follow up meeting to see if there are any issues with the PPF installation. It just goes to tell how serious he takes his professionalism. So Happy I found a cool, and professional shop like this in Northern NJ. These guys do it all from vinyl wraps, to powder coating to light paint work. The shop is clean, the staff is very friendly, from the techs in the back, to the owner to the girl that does the appointments over the phone. They response well to text message. The techs are patient. Parking is tight. I had to park in the WAWA next door-no biggie. I had my Decals painted and installed for a reasonable price and turn around time was quick.
