The pictures he had of the vehicle made it appear in great shape with little to no rust. He was charging a huge premium for the 4runner, which made me think they must have done some extensive work to it before putting it on the market. Boy was I wrong! I accepted delivery about a week after purchasing the vehicle through Nicholas online. The 4runner smelled like dog, had less than a quarter tank of gas in it, and the rust is just really bad. The rims are rusted and bubbling, the frame is rusted, the engine, transmission, axles, nuts, bolts, clamps, all rusted. Nicholas sold me this vehicle that needs extensive work, knowing I was planning to use it to move my family and I when we PCS from California to Colorado. I can't believe an American business would do something like this to a military family. I wouldn't recommend boutique motors to my worst enemy. This 4runner is a huge stress/burden on myself and my family both mentally and financially during a time when we've already got so much on our plate. As if moving to another state wasn't expensive and stressful already, we have this to deal with. Shame on you Nicholas! I hope it was worth it for you.

I was looking for a reliable vehicle for her to use at school. I was assured the car was mechanically sound. I was told the brakes were new. They failed causing her to roll through an intersection. My mechanic said they were worn through. Had to replace brakes and calipers. The radiator split . After be assured me on three different occasions the water pump and timing belt were changed at 100k miles that also was a lie. She was stranded in Milwaukee on Christmas Eve. The water pump assemble and bearings trashed. I had to replace the pump, belt, bearings. It was never replaced. STAY AWAY. liars and cheats. Not returning phone calls. I had started the process by trading some emails which were promptly returned. I scheduled a test drive and was met by Bill, a pretty friendly guy that answered questions straight forward. I paid cash for the car. They cleaned up the car for me and held it for a couple extra days indoors since we got hit by a huge snowstorm. The issue came when I finally picked up the car. About 15 minutes into my drive home, the check engine light came on. I called them back and he said to bring it back and they'd at least figure out the code. The code seemed fairly minor so he reset it. I left and he said he'd get back in touch after he did some research. Ultimately, he did offer to have the car serviced for free. However, I took it in separately and decided to just have a repair man I trust do the work since it was only about $100. So, I don't believe they knowingly sold me a car with issues. But I was a little concerned that they just clicked off the Check Engine light so easily. But again, everything else went well working with them and I believe I got a good deal.
