This is a small burrito place in north San Angelo. It really doesn't look like much from the outside. I got two burritos. The pork adobo and grilled steak burrito. Each was under 3 dollars At first I didn't have high expectations because the only thing in the burrito was the meat with no other toppings. But when I actually ate it, the food was very flavorful. I did not expect the burrito to have such flavor. One of the burritos was very smoky and peppery. The other also had the same smoky, beef-jerky like flavor. The complimentary salsa was great. It had a mildly mustard-like flavor and was perfectly balanced for saltiness. It's also open at many hours which is very convenient. read more

Illiana's is the definition of a hole in the wall the place is small and tucked away but offers great food at an even better price came here while visiting family in san angelo and was not disappointed I even got my family to come here for the first time and they enjoyed it as well I had the chicharron and beans burrito along with a brisket burrito (don't judge the burritos are small) i recommend this place to anyone who enjoys authentic Mexican food only downside is that they are not open for dinner but as san angelo residents know alot of places close after 2pm. Illiana's Burrito Place is the type of Mexican place I look for; clean, authentic, and cheap. The burritos are not gigantic, but are big enough to satisfy and are cheap enough to buy 2 if really hungry. So many different types of burritos with so many different combinations to choose from. I ordered 3 burritos, but I received 4 and paid for 4. I got a steak Tampico burrito which was tasty, but the steak was slightly chewy. The huevos rancheros burrito was very wet and the eggs were over cooked . The chicken fajita burrito was also very tasty. The highlight of their burritos is the smoothest refried beans in the planet and the fresh taste of cilantro. Illiana's can be looked at as fresh fast food as all of the burritos are assembled in front of you from ingredients in over 40 chafing dishes. Definitely worth a try. read more

This little gem was recommended to me by a local. I'm new in town and was looking for a place just like this. It doesn't look like much when you pull up but don't let that stop you. We got a brisket torte, chicken fajita burrito, spicy beef burrito, rice and a package of tortillas to take home. The only thing that didn't give this a 5 is the torte bread tasted old and kind of crumbled. But, we took the yummy goodness out and put it in a fresh tortilla and it was wonderful. Service is great and it's not there for ambiance so don't expect that. Just good, authentic food. read more

My brother-in-law pestered me for a month to skip my beloved Julio's and give Illiana's a try and am I glad I finally gave in! Their steak tampico with a lil pico added is friggin delicious. Pretty much every meat or stew based taco (sorry, I'm from Austin so I still think they're tacos) has been out of this world. Oh, and they're all TWO DOLLARS. I'm still a huge fan of Julio's, preferring the way they prepare their potatoes, but Illiana's is giving them a run for their money in my book. One of the very few 5 stars I will give. This place has THE BEST home made burritos. The food is more authentic, less rushed, and is made with love. The amount of effort that goes into cooking and preparing is epic and the staff is very friendly. I am very particular and I always value places who respect preparing their food with the quality and comfort of homemade food. Steak tampico, sausage and potato, guiso, lengua, its all good. They also have grilled peppers which go great with the burritos. I was reviewing Yelp for a place for tacos here in San Angelo and I came across this gem. Hands down the BEST food I've ever had in this unassuming little restaurant hole in the wall out of the way place. I think it was the owner who helped me and she was so nice and asked me exactly what I like spicy, medium, mild and what kind of meat do I like. She let me taste five six different things before I ordered my burrito. The spicy steak which is what I had is amazing great flavor and it made the back of my head sweat, which is what I like. I also ordered the Guiso which is spicy beef stew. She even let me taste what was cooking in the back which was chicken breast in green chillies which was so amazing I just got a bowl of that as well. If you like authentic Tex-Mex, Mexican food and you're in the area you need to stop here. FYI that also breakfast burritos because they open up at 5 a.m. and I'm going to be there tomorrow to get one. Oh and I forgot to mention they make homemade tortillas there as well. read more

Oh man oh man. This review is going to seem exaggerated and hyperbolic. Whatever. Don't care. Illiana's is the best thing that ever happened to San Angelo. The burritos are consistently excellent. I like classic egg potato bean and cheese, but really anything you get here is going to be awesome. My husband likes spicy guiso, barbacoa, lengua... also everything on the menu. They always have pico. Everything is fresh. They are now open on Sundays and take credit cards!! I no longer live in San Angelo but some of my best memories involve this place. My husband got me and all my friends hooked on this place. One of my friends even lost a bunch of weight by eating only Illiana's burritos for a few months. (not recommended) Just say no to mediocre Julio's and Diego's. Corner Stop is ok. Illiana's is the place to be. There is a reason people pay more, drive farther, and line up out the door at this place---it is worth it! There are even vegetarian options (Cactus burritos) and all kinds of unique stuff you can't get anywhere else. I even got their ceviche one time and it was good. read more
