I am beyond grateful for the wonderful team here! I had a crown fall out on Friday night in a visible area, so imagine trying to find a dentist on Sat morning and try to get to work on time. I got turned away from 4 different dentists, as I was frantically calling and stopping by nearby open places. This place was my last chance, and I almost cried when Gen at the front desk empathized with my situation and got me in. She could tell I was so stressed and she was so nice to me. Not only was I taken in right away, but Dr. Herrera, and her assistants Christian and Eli, were so kind, respectful, and did quality work. I was impressed how professional and in good spirits everyone was. So why am I saying 'maybe' to the question "Will you recommend this place?" Because not everyone in that clinic is as amazingly adept as Dr Tancio. I've always been shy going to the dentist growing up , even now as an adult. This dentistry practice is absolutely amazing in every way. From staff, to doctors, cleanliness, and service. Every thing about this place is both comforting and straight forward. The receptionist Jen always greets me with the biggest smile. She remembers what I do for work and takes the time to chat with me before I get escorted to my chair in the back. That alone shows how genuinely she cares for the clients she meets! The woman who cleaned my teeth was named Vanessa. She was thorough with her work and took the time to ask me if I was okay or needed any breaks in between. She communicated well throughout the entire cleaning process and left my teeth looking sparkling clean. The doctor I had was Dr.Tancio and his assistant Chris. They both were extremely funny and made me feel welcomed in their presence. The doctor also took his time to exam all my teeth and pointed out with a hand held mirror what areas I needed to work on at home. That hands on experience where he visually showed me made me feel more involved with his work and not just a patient in a chair. His assistant Chris continued cracking jokes and checking in with me to make sure I wasn't in any pain or discomfort. He definitely lowered my anxiety level by just being friendly and patient. The doctors work was absolutely phenomenal. No pain, very communicative, and had such a welcoming demeanor the entire experience. It was my first with Ilas Dental Care and met my new dentist Dr. Michael Tancio. He is so meticulous in examining every tooth and explaining every tiny detail of every tooth and problem with my gums. It was also my first to see the X-ray of my teeth (in my face) as he explain each tooth. The clinic practice Covid-19 protocol. The staff were very friendly...Chris polished, cleaned, did the xray, etc... he was polite and thorough. Jen who is at the front desk explained and answer all insurance related questions and so efficient in scheduling my next appointment... Everyone in the staff are friendly. The clinic interior is decorated nicely.. very stylish. The bathroom has fancy hotel lobby bathroom vibes! I've had examinations done by Dr. Ilas, Dr. Tancio, and Dr. Herrera. All of them are great. The dental cleaning experience is usually okay. My favorite dental hygienist was Phelan, but learned on my last visit that he's not with Ilas Dental Care anymore. My last experience with a new hygienist was uncomfortable and painful, but I will give them another chance since I've been going to them for the last 8+ years. I hope it will be back to good again next time. Who likes going to the dentist?!? Ugh, just the noise of those tools aggravate me. However, I was in need of a cleaning and my mom and sister see Dr. Illas and give him rave reviews. I was up North and decided to fit in an appt, while I was there. First of all, the office is super clean and everyone from the front desk staff to the hygienists are friendly. They have tvs in every room and you can even switch it to whatever channel you want. Their machines are up to date and you just stand there while the xray machine circles you and your mouth! Super cool as it limited the time I had to chew on those hard x-ray cardboard things and try not to gag. Dr. Illas is very knowledgeable and takes extreme care in what he does. He even threw out some good metaphors about cleaning your teeth and posts in the ground, LOL! I got what he meant! I pay out of pocket and as I get older I'm a lot more impatient with medical appointments that I have to fit into my schedule. Also, the last thing I want to hear when taking two hours out of my work day for an appt is a lecture about flossing or gum disease. Dentists tend to be very worst care scenario and hygienists are even worse, but everyone here was really kind, cleaned my teeth, threw in some good stories and sent me on my way with some goodies (a full sized toothbrush & floss). Not really goodies, but useful items nonetheless! No cavities, yayyyy! They take most insurance plans as well, so if you are in the area check out the doctor. He also has an office in Milpitas and most of the staff speaks Tagalog. P.S. They have the cleanest, most modern bathroom! read more

ILas has been my primary Dental office for about 3+ years I believe. I really love them! They're so accommodating. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. ILas and the rest of his staff. I love that they have TV with many channels including the Filipino channel(TFC) if that's your thing haha. Jenn the front desk person, who I 99% of the time speak to is really helpful and welcoming. First, I am concerned that Kenneth below might have the wrong dental practice because everything that he mentioned couldn't be further than my experience what so ever. Don't let his comment lead you to believe that this place is anything but 5+ star. I have gotten to know just about everyone at Ilas Dental in Concord very well. I found them solely based on their weekend and late evening availability and quickly came to find that I had found my dentist. I have been to MANY dentists in my 30 years (mostly due to being a military spouse and moving all over the place). To find somewhere I can trust to stay with for the foreseeable future and beyond is such a comforting feeling. Everyone is friendly, comforting, and I never feel like I am being ripped off or led down a path I shouldn't be. They clearly explain and provide evidence so I never feel like I am blindly following what I am being told. They also prioritize things based on importance and understand the financial burden that dental work costs. Over the last 3 years in their care, I have gotten my mouth in shape and now when I come for cleanings I only have positive results. Really, really happy to have found my "dental home." I recommend Ilas Dental Care to anyone in the area. I come from Walnut Creek, and tell all of my friends and family to also see them. Even my 4 year old daughter comes here! I hadn't been to the dentist in 30+ years, so the beautiful environment and helpful / friendly staff we're quite a shock. They took me in on a seconds notice to repair a bridge that popped out and have changed my mind about dentists. I've been too afraid to go, having been scarred for life as a child (I'm 56)... I live in Sacramento but I would drive all the way to San Jose to see Dr Ilas because he's the best! I'm so glad they have the Concord Office now. It's easier to drive to, everything is fancy and new but the same great service is still there! Dr. ilas and his associates are all very professional and gentle when working on your teeth. I've been seeing Dr. Ilas for years in his Milpitas office and was so happy when they opened the Concord site. I promise you that this is the most beautiful dentist office you'll ever walk into, and the level of service and care matches the decor. I've never had better dental care, for myself and for my children. For the kids in particular they make the whole experience pleasant for them, with state if the art cameras so they can see photos of what their teeth look like as well as little goodies for them to take home. There are adjustable flat screen TVs at every chair for each patient to enjoy while their teeth are being worked on. Specific to this site are MASSAGE chairs for extra comfort during what is usually an unpleasant experience (sorry, this isn't available at the Milpitas office yet). Everyone here goes above and beyond to please their patients, but above all the dental care is top notch. Hands-down the best dentist around. read more

Ok, let me just say that I've had my dentist prior to Dr. Ilas for more than 10 years before I finally decided to break that relationship. Having moved to Concord, I did not want to drive 35+ miles for routine cleanings. So my sister-in-law recommended Ilas Dental Care cause she said his office is so "fancy." I'm not one to judge a book by its cover, BUT when it comes to dental care, you can tell a lot about a dentist based on the investment he makes on beautifying his office. So here I am, the researcher that I am, on his website browsing, reading his profile and I stumble over a video of his dental office. First of all, how many dentists do you know makes a Vimeo just showing off his office? But you see, his video is not to brag about how nice and modern his office is. The way his office is designed is a metaphor and symbol of his standards and values as a dental provider and now after having my first visit, the man sure does uphold the highest standard of care. When you think about what you want in a professional anything, you want him to be educated, up-to-date of new technology/information, personable, takes time to educate, detail-oriented, I mean I could go on forever with this list. Simply said--Dr. Colin Ilas lives up to these expectations and more. Trust me--I do not give 5-stars on Yelp very easily, nor would I stay up until 2200 hours to write a review. I would much rather be sleeping, but Dr. Ilas genuinely deserves all the credit I can give him. This might convince you--he and his assistant took almost 1.5 hours assessing, cleaning, rinsing, and fluoriding my teeth. Plus I got a little lesson on fillings and why we measure gum line! I mean really though, need I say more? Ok one more--the nicest receptionist at the front. Ok one more--their parting gifts of toothbrushes, floss, and toothpaste are not generic and comes in a little shopping bag like you bought something out of Louis Vuitton! My husband found this place after waking up one Saturday morning with excruciating tooth pain. After they fixed my husband up I had to come in to get a crown. Hands down, easily one of the best Dental Offices I have ever been to. It's not only stocked win state of the art equipment, massaging chairs, and beautiful decor, but everyone who works there including Heidi at the reception desk is just amazingly nice! These days you can't trust many companies and Dentists are becoming like car mechanics (like Western Dental in Concord), where they tell you something needs to be fixed when in all it doesn't. Not this Dental Office! They are very honest people and caring. They go above and beyond to take care of their clients and we are very great full we found them. At my appointment I was told at I just needed a crown and most likely not a root canal but they weren't sure until they got in there and looked. When the Dentist was fixing me up, he could have very easily been dishonest and said I needed a root canal, but he didn't. I've been looking for a good dentist for a long time, and I'm glad I found this office thanks seafood city! At first I'm hesitant to go in coz the office is beautiful . I'm afraid they might overcharge me but I'm glad they didn't , lady at the front was very nice , the assistant was very friendly , she made me feel comfortable , and the dentist was very cool and professional , he is thorough with everything I'd like way he educate me about my teeth . He showed me my X-ray from the flat screen tv " very cool" and tell me what's goin on and treatment needs to be done. I think for me is very important so patient will understand everything .
