He is always friendly and honest, but not mean about it. I feel comfortable when I get my teeth cleaned and my teeth/gums feel great after my appointments. I recently started Invisalign and I see Dr. Pham for Invisalign related stuff. She is very sweet and explains everything. The process has been smooth so far thanks to Dr. Pham. After a previous dentist talked me into an unnecessary root canal, I walked into Dr. Stein's office guarded and half-expecting to be let down again. Instead, I got the opposite. I was convinced I had a cavity from a bad toothache, and he could easily have just gone along with it. Instead he told me the truth. I was just clenching my jaw in my sleep. No unnecessary work, no upsell, just an honest answer. That kind of integrity completely restored my faith in going to the dentist.
