There are a couple reasons why I really like this place.
1st - it's right in my neighborhood about a block from where I reside so anytime I am looking for a restaurant to frequent, one close to home is always a winner for me.
2nd - i like the ambiance. You have a choice of indoor or outdoor dining. The decor indoor is a very pottery barn black and white. Very inviting. But al fresco is where it's at. Although some don't like the new mimicking the old of this newly constructed "strip mall" tucked away off gioberti, I am american and we love new that feels old. And dining under the stars here is the perfect ambiance for a date.
3rd - Pasquale, whom I believe is either proprietor or manager was a lovely host. He helped us select some plates, and was very accommodating especially to my food allergy.
4th - the food. This is a seafood and pizza place. And i love fish. I had the tartare plate which was a beautiful medley of salmon tartare, tuna tartare and swordfish tartare. Also had the grilled octopus which was outstanding. And i have to say - i loved the bread. I have been in florence just long enough to know when I bite into NON tuscan bread. And this bread was southern Italian style. Softer in texture and salted. My taste buds went crazy!!! I am looking forward to coming back to try the pizza.
I really liked this place and looking forward to going back to try more of their dishes. You should give it a fair shot. read more
