My husband and I got married on September 27th at Oakeside Mansion…read more We were beyond disappointed with the execution process by Frungillio's. Frungillio's as a whole, and our event coordinator Ed, were disorganized, not prompt to answer e-mails leading up to our event and dishonest. Our first red flag was after signing our contract, we received an e-mail (not even the courtesy of giving us a phone call) saying they double booked our original date, despite having already signed our contract. We were so in love with the venue, we chalked it up to a miscommunication--no big deal. Unfortunately, instances like this became regular throughout our planning process. Many promises were made and fell short on our wedding day. We worked with Ed throughout our planning process. On most occasions, it took at least a week to get a response back and most of the time, my husband had to text, call and e-mail several times to prompt a response. The morning of the wedding I received a text message from Ed saying he would not be able to attend our wedding due to an emergency. We had been working with him for over a year and while I understand circumstances arise, I believe a phone call is the LEAST he could do to break the news--most brides would freak out! Ed and Frungillio's promised to essentially be my "go-to" on the day of the wedding, but again they fell short. Decor was not organized as promised. Details that were promised in our final meeting were not executed. Staff had to be told as guests were arriving to finish setting up the cocktail hour. Ed failed to communicate with my vendors. Staff was nowhere to be found minutes before the wedding. I (the bride!!) had to put my bridal party in the processional order because no one was there to do it for me. We didn't even know where to put the overflow of garbage from the bridal suite. One of the two bathrooms broke half way through the wedding and there was no assistance for our guests other than a "out of order" sign on the door. The next day our family went to pick up our decor with the understanding that our items would be in a corner of the tent area as there was another wedding the next day. When our family arrived, our items were sprawled all over the mansion, not in the original boxes or packaging. Items were missing. Extra, unopened candy from our candy bar were stolen (over $500 worth). The groom for the wedding the following day was in a sheer panic because no one who worked for Frungillo's could be found and the mansion was a complete disaster. Following the wedding, I reached out to the owner of Frungillo's and Ed to ask for a meeting to discuss our disappointment. While the original e-mail was acknowledged, the message with our concerns did not receive a response, along with the several phone calls made and additional e-mails. We were blatantly ignored. They received our money and did not care about our dissatisfaction, nor did they try to explain themselves. On top of stealing our decor and favors, my husband and I didn't even receive the top of our wedding cake as a keepsake for our one year anniversary. By no means did Frungillo's ruin my wedding day. Our wedding day was perfect because of the people and love that surrounded the room, not because of their poor attention to detail. If I can give any future bride advice, do not book with Oakeside Mansion or Frungillo's simply because they will not give you the attention you deserve, especially with the money you are paying. It's not worth the stress on YOUR beautiful day.

Gorgeous place for an event. For a wedding, it can all happen here. From the ceremony to the…read morereception, it seems to be the perfect small place to make it all happen that doesn't seem small. The food and drink for the cocktail hour to the main dinner all worked well. For the wedding I attended, they had different stations in the downstairs area that represented different experiences in the couple's lives together. For instance, one station you were on the boardwalk with burgers and dogs, and at another one you were in Germany or Italy. I think the one thing I do not understand is parking. Getting there early I had zero problems, but the lot seems very small for an event place.

I attended a wedding at Rock Island Lake Club. What do I enjoy most at a wedding? You guessed it,…read morethe reception. The reception was a hit with me. It was highlighted by an open bar that ran from 7pm to 1am and featured 24 draft beers, premium liquors (Gray Goose and Maker's Mark as examples), wines and cordials. The food was excellent as well. They had various stations setup featuring such items as Cuban sliders, Italian & Mediterranean dishes, seafood with clams & oysters, cheese bar and a charcuterie boat. Waiters walked around throughout the cocktail hour offering various hors d'oeuvres.I found most of the alcoholic offerings paired well with all the cuisines offered. As for the main course, There were 4 choices and I selected the braised lamb shank. The waiter told me it was her favorite. It was delicious. You might ask me why the 4 STARS and not 5. One reason is the loud music. The DJ turned up the volume to the point of having to shout at people when conversing. I enjoy conversation and it was not really possible. Low ceilings mad it a lot worse. I went out to the balcony which overlooked a beautiful lake and colorfully lit fountain just to get away from the noise. Additionally, I do not like valet parking and prefer to drive my truck. You can select parking your own vehicle. Long tables make it hard to talk to everyone at the table and finally, they have a series of garage doors that enclose the reception area in case of rain. REALLY! Oh, yeah! The wedding vows were nice too.

Ok long post but I have to say this because everyone needs to know!!!…read more Our wedding at The Legacy Castle was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. I truly don't even know where to begin because every single part of this experience exceeded anything we could have ever imagined. The venue itself is unreal. It is hands down the most beautiful venue in all of New Jersey. It literally feels like an absolute fairytale being brought to life. Every corner, every detail, every view is just breathtaking. We kept looking around the entire night thinking, "we really got married here?" I still cannot believe we were able to have our wedding at a place this stunning. It is truly top tier. But what made everything even more incredible was the staff. Every single person we interacted with, our maitre d' and coordinator especially, and the entire team, were beyond professional. I mean truly beyond. Nothing was short of absolute perfection with them. Everything was organized, seamless, and handled with such care and precision. I thought one or two things could go wrong because that's just how weddings go. But No mistakes with this staff. What honestly shocked us the most was how many of our vendors pulled us aside just to rave about the staff. Not one, not two, but multiple vendors stopped us and said that in all the weddings they've worked, they have never seen a team this organized and professional. They told us they go to weddings every single weekend, and that this was on another level. Hearing that from people who are constantly in this industry really put into perspective just how incredible this team is. On top of that, my husband and I were honestly so overwhelmed throughout the day, and the staff just took over everything in the best way possible. We brought in so many personal items and decor pieces, fully expecting that at the end of the night we'd probably lose a few things here and there because things get chaotic and things get misplaced. But somehow, they packed every single item back exactly how we brought it, and loaded everything into our car without breaking a sweat. They even escorted us out and sent us on our way with a huge smile at the end of the night. And the food... I don't even have the words. We didn't add anything extra, this was just their standard offering, and our 250 guests are still talking about it. So many people told us it was the best cocktail hour they have ever seen in their lives. The amount of food, the quality, the presentation, it was beyond anything we expected. Everyone says the one thing guests always remember from a wedding is the food, and I know for a fact people are going to remember ours because it was just that good. Everything about The Legacy Castle, the beauty, the organization, the professionalism, the food, the service, was absolutely flawless. It felt like every single person there genuinely cared about making our wedding perfect, and they delivered in every possible way. We are still in disbelief over how perfect everything was and will forever be grateful

Our Lead Banquet Services Coordinator, Camry, was absolutely incredible. From our very first meetings through the wedding day, she handled everything with such professionalism, patience, and attention to detail. She kept up with our incredibly busy schedule, was always accommodating and understanding, and remained flexible even with our last-minute changes. She put everything together so seamlessly that we were able to simply enjoy our wedding without worrying about a single detail. From the moment I arrived at the Castle, I was greeted by our wonderful maître d' and immediately felt completely taken care of. I was also welcomed by two beautiful young ladies, Nicole and Adriana, who were personally by my side from the second I stepped out of the car and throughout the entire day. I genuinely cannot put into words how incredible they were. They helped clean and bustle my dress, kept my lipstick in their pockets and made sure it was reapplied throughout the night, made sure I was always fed and hydrated, and constantly checked that I had absolutely everything I needed. They anticipated my needs before I even had to ask. I never once had to worry about anything -- they were always one step ahead of me. I truly felt like a princess that entire day. The amount of care and attention they gave me allowed me to be completely present and enjoy every second of my wedding. And the food was absolutely phenomenal. Our guests still cannot stop talking about it! Before the wedding, one of our concerns was whether there would be enough food for everyone, but looking back, we laugh because we simply did not realize the level at which The Legacy Castle operates. The amount, variety, presentation, and quality of the food completely exceeded anything we could have imagined. We added the sushi boats, which were a HUGE success with our guests and absolutely worth it. And then came the Viennese display -- it honestly felt like walking into Willy Wonka's chocolate room. Everywhere you looked there was something beautiful and delicious. It was over-the-top in the absolute best way and such an unforgettable way to end the night. The level of care was unlike anything I have ever experienced. It wasn't simply good service -- it felt personal. Every member of the staff made us feel as though our wedding was the most important event in the world to them that day. Even our vendors could not stop talking about how impressed they were by the professionalism, organization, and service of The Legacy Castle team. That alone says so much. I am still in awe of how beautifully and seamlessly everything came together. I truly don't think I have ever experienced this level of service anywhere in my life. It was worth every single penny we spent. Being able to enjoy our wedding day knowing that we, our families, our guests, and even our vendors were being taken care of at such an extraordinary level was priceless. To Camry, our wonderful maître d', Nicole, Adriana, and every single member of The Legacy Castle staff: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You made one of the most important days of our lives absolutely unforgettable. We will forever be grateful.
