On our way driving to Val d'orcia in an early morning. We're starving since there was no meal provided in our hotel the previous night. We just stopped by to this restaurant tried to buy a bread and coffee. However, the cake and donuts were so good! Coffee was like 1 euro. The staffs can speak only Italian (of course since here is Italy) but we communicate by limited English and all kinds of hand gestures (so funny) and we felt happy to have very good breakfast. Later when finished visiting D'orcia, on our way back to San Gimignano, we passed the restaurant again and decide to have lunch there again! We're offered very fresh cold cut(best and the cheapest during our trip from Rome, Florence to San Gim). And a tasty mushroom pasta(forget the actually Italian word for flat and wide noodle). So good! The mushrooms smells so good and the noodle is perfect!
we also order a grand mixed cold cut to-go, and the delicious cake we had in the morning, again!
We love this restaurant very much and it was so nice for anyone who wants to try local Italian foods! read more
