    Spinach gnocchi

Good pizza and pasta. Very busy on a Saturday night. Be prepared to wait to be seated. Once seated service is quick.

Popped into town after a day of hiking nearby and were looking for something simple for lunch…read more There's a strip of restaurants near the parking lot and we ultimately chose this one as it seemed busy with a large menu. We grabbed the soup of the day-orzo-which needed much much more seasoning. Grabbed one of their pastas, which was fine (better than the orzo), as well as a pizza that was probably the best part of the meal. It's unclear to me who gets baskets of bread as it seemed very random. The seating system is a mess. You get a number and they call out numbers randomly if you're waiting outside. Our number was certainly skipped but when I asked why I was told it had been announced a bunch (which I have a tough time believing since we heard all of the other numbers and were sitting immediately outside...). Once seated, the service itself leaves a fair amount to be desired as it seems like they're too busy for their own good. The bathrooms were nice, which was convenient. And there was free Wifi, which made the 15-20 minute wait not terrible. There aren't so many options in the immediate vicinity so I'm not sure how the others compare. Ultimately, it was a fine choice.

The vibe is eccentric, off season Christmas lights and sort of silly decorations, but everything we got was excellent. Its more comfort food style, and we ordered more than we could eat because we wanted to try too many things. No disappointments. Also, they had a fun list of beers from a nearby brewery that I really liked. If you're in the area this is a great choice.

Even though they don't have many Yelp reviews, they did have strong reviews on Google so we decided to stop by. Ambiance (3/5): This quaint pizzeria is a nice spot for a casual meal. We were seated at a table for two. Service (3.5/5): While the restaurant was pretty busy, we were seated quickly. Typical European service. It does the job but isn't terribly friendly or efficient. Drinks (4/5): Since we were getting pizza, beer serves as a nice compliment. They had several local beers so this is what we went with. Food (4/5): While they have more than pizza on the menu, since it's a pizzeria, you know what we ordered. They had 20+ options so we had plenty to choose from. The menu was in Italian so we used Google Translate to help us out. Which created a hilarious situation. They have a pizza called the porker. However, in Italian, pork means both pork and a bad word in Italian. Google translated the pizza as the bad word. So, naturally, this is what I went with. My partner in crime got the Americano which comes with wurstel (sausage) and French fries. I'm an American and they don't serve pizza like this in the States which is comical. It is, however, a popular choice in Italy. They also gave us some complimentary breadsticks. The pizzas were delicious and large enough that we took some home. And reasonably priced which is always nice. If you're looking for some good pizza in Cortina D'Ampezzo, El Bronsin makes for a good choice.
