I have to start with a shout out to our waiter! He was so pleasant and welcoming! Five stars for the people! We came here for the GF pizza and it was a bit odd to be honest. The crust reminded me of cloud bread and didn't have a ton of flavor. My pizza also wasn't a white pizza like I expected, rather it just didn't have any sauce so it was just toppings resting on top. That made it a little dry and difficult to eat as it was all independent components. You have a great view of Siena from here though. Wish they had open air instead of plastic enclosures. read more

Our second time to Siena and our first time to this place. Wowza!! Amazing food. View was incredible. Wine was great. I have nothing but good things to say here. Even gluten-free pizza for my husband - I tasted it and it was better than most. I had the Camporegio pizza. Added sala We shared a €18 bottle of red wine : 2013 Brunello SCOPONE that was fantastic. Bad service,took over 10 minutes before we got any water or menu and then another 15 minutes to get water. BUT I did really enjoy their pizza here though! Delicious pizza! The crust is soft and fluffy, and the pizza itself is very thin. They have so many options and so there is something for everyone. Loved my truffle pizza with prosciutto and my friend also loved her truffle pizza (without tomato sauce) with mushrooms. read more

After eating our way throughout Italy and enjoying many pizza and pasta dishes, this was probably my least favorite. The margarita pizza was good, but I didn't care for the fresh mozzarella, which was very wet, and made the pizza very soggy. Service was okay. We ate outside on their patio and would have had a very good view of the Siena Cathedral and nearby area except they had their rain cover down and it obscured the view. read more

I don't know why this place doesn't get at least 4 stars. I would rate a 5-star. Gorgeous views, gorgeous sounds of Church bells, and delicious pizza. Senza glutine / gluten free pizza was delicious and fresh in a country easy to find gluten free pasta but hard to find Pizza senza glutine. My husband enjoyed the regular pizza so much- and he wants to eat here 3 times a day :). Great wine selection and so many good choices we couldn't decide. If you don't like this place, you are impossible to please. read more

Bad service. We were the only ones there and it took them about 10 minutes to ask what we wanted to order. Drinks came very slow as well. They just kept on passing us by and didn't bother to look over at us. We had just received our food when we started noticing that there were a lot of mosquitos biting us outside (we were the only ones there). We asked if we can move to a table inside. Their faces looked very displeased and to some extent, I felt like they were mocking us. When we were situated inside, nobody came by to ask how the food tasted or if we needed anything. The kicker part was when we were inside eating, the waiter and the waitress were near us and a bit too touchy with each other. Then they moved to an area a bit further out where we could not see them and started to make out. We could hear the smacking lips. Very unprofessional. Pizza was ok. read more

Pizza was outstanding! So good. Service was equally as good. The entire experience was what I was looking for. During the meal, who I could only assume was the owner/chef came out eating some bread to see his work and talk to his wife. Wife brought out our pizza and helped the waiter. Watched the owner great the bread guy with his order and share a conversation. The pizza was the best I had on this trip but the experience as a whole.....priceless. read more

Yes, we agree with previous reviewers that the waitstaff were not hospitable. When we walked in the woman at the host stand gave us a look that felt like "What the hell do you want?'" We said we would like pizza, dinner. We got a blank stare. She took us to a table where we sat for at least 15 minutes before she came back. When she poured our beer from the bottles, she poured straight down creating 2 inches of foam and then slammed the bottles on the table, turned and walked away. The pizza: It was good, but not amazing. The bacon on one was in long strips and not of good quality or cooked well. The pepperoni on the other was good, mildly spicy. Cheeses were good as was the sauce. The crust was soggy about a third of the way in. The tiramisu was okay. Wouldn't go back. read more

Terrible service; we didn't know whether to grab a table or wait to be seated and the same waiter passed us by multiple times without even looking in our direction. Once we sat down, the same guy and another waitress sat at the table next to us and even in our limited understanding of Italian we could tell they were mocking us. We ordered one gluten free pizza and one regular one, and after 15 minutes of waiting our pizzas came out mixed up. We had to wait for the waitress to come back to make sure, and she apologized and said the correct food would be out in two minutes. Ten minutes later we got the food, and it's the only thing keeping this review from being one star. Not worth the wait and the judgement, but the pizza was very good. tl;dr rude and slow wait staff, a little on the pricey side (€4 coperto and €2,50 for a bottle of water), but with delicious food and a pretty view of the town. read more

This place has a wonderful view of Siena and Duomo and is well worth sitting outside if you are very patient. The service here is horrendous!!! It takes forever to get your drinks, food and we had to ask for the bill twice. We even witnessed two tables get up and leave. The server outside had the worst attitude of the entire trip. Anytime the phone rang he huffed and anytime someone walked up he rolled his eyes. He even made a rude comment when we said the mozzarella ball was the largest we've had...his response was "Well you are in Italy". With that being said, they have a great beer selection and the pizza was very tasty. I will admit this was the only place that we left no tip...not even one Euro. If you are the owner of the restaurant and care about reviews....you could get 5 stars if your service was better. read more

Four of us came here for lunch. We ordered 3 different pizzas, a salad and wines/beers. We were seated inside, which I actually liked, because it was hot outside and with insects flying around. The inside has a nice and cozy feel to it. Unfortunately, we waited for about 5-10 mins just to be received by the waitress and it took a while for her to take our order and for food to arrive. At some point another waitress was passing by us, and one of us helped her with holding a tray while she was moving a chair out of the way, and when she took the tray back, she didn't even nod in our direction, let alone thank us. That was very rude of her, because we didn't have to help her at all. If you can ignore the poor service (though you may get luckier with it), I'd still recommend to come here for lunch. It's located off the main tourist traps of Siena and has nice views from it. Most importantly, the food is very good, especially the pizza. read more

Go there for the view! Nice pizzas - which is practically the only thing on the menu. Quite touristy location, but we chose it because of the amazing view over Siena overviewing the basilica, the domus and the palazzo pubblico. read more

The food here is outstanding, great pizza made in a wood fired oven. Toppings are fresh and creative. Prices are very cheap. We came without reservations and got one of the last tables. Reservations are a must if dining after 8pm as we saw close to 25 people waiting to get seated. Great place except for one aspect. The service was so incredibly bad, that we almost got up and left. Restaurant service in europe is bad, but this is on a whole other level. They are clearly understaffed so i do not blamed the waitress as she had more then 10 tables to deal with. If you plan on dining here, do not be surprised if it takes more then 40 minutes to get your pizza and another 40 to get the check. 5 Stars for the pizza, ZERO stars for the service. read more
