What a gem! My mom, boyfriend, and I were just wandering around the area, and we happened to find…read morethis quick and easy pasta shop which easily became one of our favorite eats during our trip in Rome! And the best part? It's cheap too! I got their Tonnarelli Alla Gricia Tartufo (Tonnarelli pork cheek, pecorino cheese & truffle). Wow, the portions were HUGE for only €9,5! It had an amazing truffle flavor and cooked perfectly. There was a good amount of cured pork cheek too. This shop did not skimp out! There was so much cure pork cheek that my boyfriend and I had a difficult time finishing my bowl as it started getting quick salty near the end. We had his dish on the side to help with the saltiness. Their cured meats can get quite salty on the pasta dishes! But they're still sooooo good. My boyfriend got their Casarecce Acqua e Farina Al Pesto (water & flour pasta with pesto). This was soooo good. That pesto flavor, MMMM. The freshness and flavor of it would be difficult to find in the US. It also really helped balance the saltiness of my dish too. My mom got their Ravioli di Ricotta e Spinach con Funghi e Tartufo (ravioli stuffed ricotta cheese & spinach, truffle mushrooms & Parmesan cheese). SO GOOD. Each bite had a beautiful amount of truffle and mushroom flavor. We could taste the freshness in each bite, and the ravioli didn't fall apart easily with the ricotta as it normally would indicating the quality of the cheese and the perfect cooked temperature. This shop was definitely a nice surprise find. Fresh ingredients for a cheap price! Cannot beat that at all. All of us really enjoyed our meal without having to worry about ordering enough food at a restaurant (haha).

Good value option!! We tried the tonarelli (thick square…read moreshaped Roman pasta) alla carbonara tartufata and ravioli di ricotta e spinaci con pesto, with a mixed salad! We went back a couple of nights later and had a fettuccine al pommodoro and ravioli di ricotta e spinaci con burro, salvia evparmigiano. It was delicious and a terrific option for a good quality budget meal in Rome!

Finding a bit of Amsterdam in Italy. The smelt of fresh fries indulged us in and it was the perfect…read morething for us. Not wanting to waste time in a restaurant in such a beautiful area of Rome, Peterland came in pretty handy. All they sell here are fries and hotdogs. Fries is obviously the main deal here and all you have to choose is the size and the sauce topping. We both chose a portion of fries each but for 1 euro , I added sliced wurstel (frankfurters) to mine. Both our fries were great. Nicely seasoned throughout and perfectly crisp on the outside whilst fluffy in the inside. They used high quality potato that brought out a lot flavour as well as fresh oil to fry them in. Ren went for the most popular Chef Peter sauce which is a very thick creamy mature cheesy sauce. I'm guessing it was mixed in with mayonnaise to produce a very egg cheesy sauce. After a while it became a bit too sickly for me but to be honest, the chips were good enough to eat without any sauce, being seasoned already. I much preferred my burger sauce that tasted like cocktail sauce with the tanginess vinegary notes making it more appealing and appetising for me. The added wurstel gave it more depth and help break down the stodginess of just eating carbs especially at the end where there was no longer any sauce but still a fair amount of wurstel. It also added a change of flavour to my fries. Service was excellent. Staff were pretty bubbly and helped recommend a few sauces and was also willing to give us a sample before we ordered it. Would recommend if you're in the area and feeling peckish.

Would have been better if the frying oil was fresher, the smell and bitterness from oil ruins the experience. Very friendly people, extra star for that :)
