Fresh, fast, and tasty. Excellent sausage, super fresh tomatoes, herbs, cheese, thin and crispy dough and the sauce was near perfection. There's lots of seating, even some outside. And the usual unfriendliness of Italian servers prevail. (My apologies to my Italian friends... Im not trying to offend, but your American counterparts are much friendlier and nicer and attentive and polite --- because they have to work for their tips =) Kudos! I finally found a thin crust that I LOVE!!!

It came with oysters, three types of shrimp, shrimp paste, three types of ceviche, and a carpaccio. My favorite was the carpaccio, which had pieces of freeze dried raspberry on top. While I understand this is the european way, we ordered so much food and it took almost 20 min between dishes and probably over an hour for the first dish to hit the table. I feel like we were here for 3-4hrs and unfortunately having already started to feel a bit under the weather, I stayed out for too long and got very sick for the next few days. Regardless, the food was so delicious I wish I could go back. Thankful the group members were foodies and knew what to order deep fried beef tripe beef flank steak (special) - so tender wagon wheels with campidanese sauce - fan favorite, delicious pumpkin tatin, parmigiana fondue (special) - so yummy, could be wrong, but used a pumpkin that tasted identical to the japanese kabocha pumpkin - extremely sweet and dry/starchy bottle of wine bianchetto - paired so well with the food profiles sheep ricotta cheese, marinated eggplants (3) - so flavorful rigatone al amatriciana - pasta in italy... can't go wrong arancini (3) - a first for me and did not disappoint ordered 3 desserts with the group: chocolate mousse, pear cinnamon cake with ricotta cheese, gelato affogato - all so delicious, perfect sweetness, just the right portions

The atmosphere is sleek and energetic, perfect for a lively night out without the traditional old-world décor. The wine list is on point, with excellent pairings that elevate their bold and inventive dishes. The pasta? Pure perfection. Cooked to a toothsome al dente, it might be a touch firm for some, but for me, it hit the perfect Italian note. Each bite was a masterclass in how pasta should be done--brimming with flavor and authenticity. The staff at Mazzo are fantastic--friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the menu. They guided me through my selection of wine with care, making sure I got the most out of my experience. Their warm hospitality made the entire evening feel special. Mazzo is seriously changing the game for dining in Rome. The mix of cool vibes and amazing food is such a nice change from the usual spots with the same old dishes, and it's 100% worth adding to your list if you're into good eats. Honestly, I'm not the only one who thinks so--other reviews online are raving about how Mazzo nails that blend of classic and modern, and I couldn't agree more.

Luckily we found this place on Yelp and the menu looked pretty decent. The ambience isn't great and the location (in a mostly abandoned shopping center) is a wee bit dodgy, BUT! We're so glad we went because it more than lived up to expectations in terms of food. We ordered the caprese salad, bruseola starter, hare ragu, and tagliata di manzo. The caprese unfortunately came with greenish tomatoes which made me a bit sad, but the bruseola salad was massive and more than made up for the disappointment! The ragu was excellent, and the tagliata was extremely tender and filling. Above all, the service was excellent- the manager was very helpful with translating any item on the menu for us, selected superb wines for us. The waiter was extremely sweet and attentive, and even set up a terrace table just for us to enjoy our coffees and complimentary butter biscuits. Wow! Loved these guys. Do yourself a favour and go! Total was €51 - veryyyyyy reasonable for all that food and drink.
