Terrible property managers. This place has zero standards and just steal communities' money. They don't even do the bare minimum of their job and then recommend costly serviced because they probably get kickbacks. I am constantly ignored and left frustrated. This is my first time owning a property under IKO Management and I have to say this is a good management company so far, because there is a good property manager name Isha. Who is well informed about HOA management properties which is very important as a home owner. I have resided under several private/individual HOA management companies which has not followed through on any complaints. I know how frustrating this can be as a home owner when management doesn't return your calls or respond to emails. It can really turn home owners off, but I have learn coming from a previous HOA company is you have to stand your ground with management. You need to know your by-laws and attend board meetings voice your opinion every chance you get and always pay your HOA fee because there can be legal ramifications. Emailed them to inform I'd be late making my HOA payment only for them to file a lien against my house shortly after sending this communication. After several emails and phone calls to no avail, meanwhile the only response I ever received was that my email was being forwarded to collections. The worst part, I didn't even know they went so far as filing a lien on my property until I attempted to refinance my house. if I could give a negative - 1 I would. The management is unresponsive, uncaring. My car was towed twice outside of the home I have owned for 20 months. the first time was a month after ai moved when ai reached out several times inquiring when I would receive my pass in the first place. The last time it was towed was in December and, I was told it was towed because my pass had expired. When I inquired when the passes changed I was told in the Summer and was told that the passes had been distributed. I stated that I never received any notice, letter or and email and asked to see where it was sent because I had not received a letter or email of a change in the passes. I also continued to park my car daily since the summer What sense does that make if I knew the passes had changed?. I was told that I would have to pay for a replacement pass. How are you going to charge me for a replacement pass if I never received notification that you changed the color of the passes months ago nor did I receive the updated pass? Why would I as a homeowner be responsible for paying for a replacement pass when the Management changes the passes and did not do their due diligence to notify all the residents? I have to pay $25 to park outside my home when the pass was never distributed in the first place. read more

I don't know what the issue is at IKO Community Management, but every time I contact them about an issue (generally double-charging me a condo fee), they give me the runaround and I have to contact them multiple times before they finally settle the issue. This latest time, I had already sold the condo I owned for seven years and a month later, I see a direct draft from my bank account for a condo fee that the new owner had already paid. It's been more than a month since I initially contacted IKO but my "refund is still processing". They are also very unprofessional in the way they respond to emails - One line responses, no signature so you don't even know who you're conversing with...maybe they are already using ChatGPT? read more

WORSE COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT EVER!!! My placed got flooded back in April, i called several times, emailed Marcia Grove and James Biles several times and up to this date nobody has ever cared!!! I ended up paying out of pocket for the repairs and the mess my basement got due to the flood. They have no value, the dont care!! read more

These guys are rip off - only idiot HOA will hire them. They force raising the fee for doing nothing and they are coercing people to pay higher fee for simple photocopy of HOA documentation.. the process is outrageous 20 days for preparing HOA docs package for sale for $230. They force you to pay for rush fee to get in under 5 days.. read more

There is a first time for everything. My friends live in a condominum property managed by IKO. When I told them about the reviews, they were sickened , livid and asked how do we get rid of IKO Management. The apple doesn't fall to far from the tree. They manage our community HOA and are unresponsive unless they need something from you. No retuned calls or emails and there's rarely anyone in the office or they simply do not answer the phone. Horribly unprofessional! read more

Our newest resident doesn't know how to prepare recyclables to ensure they are picked up by our recyclable service. A lady from their household threw unflattened boxes all over the curb and then put some more extremely large furniture(?) cardboard boxes out again this morning. Along with the refuse containers and other debris, this HUGE, disgusting, unsightly mess was not picked up. When I emailed IKO, our property manager, Ms. Isha' McCain, insisted that I could only use the "resident portal" to report this annoying + unnecessary incident. Unfortunately, I had attempted long ago to set up an account w/ a password in order to be able to use this portal. But, whenever I try to utilize it, the system will not allow me in, so, in essence, it doesn't work for me. IKO always has a phone# that (supposedly) can be used to report problems so I made certain to leave a voice mail, too. They have email addresses, as well. Ms. McCain pretended to not have received my email describing the problem, and was basically insisting that I use ONLY the resident portal, which I had already explained that I couldn't use. It was abundantly clear that she and this 1 1/2 star company are more interested in forcing me to use something that has NOT worked for me from the very beginning. They are NEVER really interested in hearing about real problems that NEED to be resolved. They cannot be bothered!!! Instead of sending residents an email about how to properly prepare their recyclables for pick-up, and sending someone here with a good-sized truck to clean up this mess, they did what they usually do~~NOTHING AT ALL!!! NO WONDER THEIR RATINGS ARE ALWAYS SO LOW! They are the worst "property management company" EVER!!! I have been battling a pest infestation for months at Plymouth wood condominiun and iko's recommendation is that I pay for an exterminator and offer to pay for my neighbor who has the problem. There is no solution to this problem. read more

I think there is a difference between not being able to help or not wanting to, I tried reaching this so call management just to get slam on the face with their non sense, rude, and poor ability to manage. They picked up my call right away (couldn't get that to happen with a company I can't mention here) and I got my answer right away! I call that excellent performance. Happy 2020! She was a good listener too and addressed all of my comments and questions. I absolutely love living here--where the parking lot looks awesome even after billions of leaves fell down last month! I have nothing to complain about. I should know, I moved from a condo in VA to my condo here and this place is great all around for safety, great neighbors and landscapers that make the place look nice. If you have something you need addressed just write them! I am sure they will answer. Sorry any fellow yelpers had a problem. Life is too short! Just focus on the positive. I am a pro at that kind of living even if I did not land a job with a VA business because I simply did not answer a text msg. Yipes! Onward!!! Yes, I was hired at Yelp, and turned it down.
