We spent a few days at The Lodge in the gulf state park and yall had the BEST beach attendant named Johanna! She was super attentive and incredibly nice! We thought so highly of her that I complimented the hotel management before leaving. They explained she worked for you! Everyone needs to know this exceptional young woman. She literally went above and beyond! Truly one of the highlights of our trip! I tipped her well but tbh, she should get a raise. Service like that isn't found everyday! read more

We loved having the option of not having to lug around folding chairs and beach umbrellas. They set up the chairs conveniently in front of our condo around 7:30-8AM... somewhere around there. Came to orange beach in weds 8-27-25. We were staying in phoenix 6. The chairs were reserved a couple of weeks ago. The little girl would not give us chairs on the front row. We tried and tried but she said she couldn't do it even though it was off season and was plenty of space to do so. She set us up on the second row. I went to get my own umbrella from the truck so we could move ourselves to the front row. When I came back Jonathon was talking to my wife. We told him the situation and he moved us to the front row. He took our information so the chairs of ourselves and our family would be set up for the rest of the week. Thanks Jonathon!!! read more

We stayed at the Phoenix VI condos last week. I used Ike's Beach Service for all of our beach days, renting four chairs and two umbrellas for each day. Their customer service was phenomenal! Our area was set up and labeled as it's our name by 8:30 every single morning. Each of the two girls that worked that area during our week checked on us multiple times per day, they were extremely accommodating and friendly. The chairs and umbrellas were also very good quality. Even with the high winds both g blew away. I definitely recommend Ike's Beach Service! It's so much easier than hauling all of your own gear through the soft sand and dealing with setup/breakdown. read more

Do not Parasail with Ike's in Gulf Shores/Orange Beach/Perdido Key. We had a group of 6 go parasailing with Ike's Beach Service out of Flora-Bama on 7/15/25. We bought the picture package and the pics were horrible. Heads cut off, just the parasail, blurry, rope across face person in left position..... after over a week of leaving messages and an email I finally got a response and was told our pictures are Standard quality and no refund will be given. I've posted a few of the pics. I would not suggest using Ike's. They were not customer friendly and if this is Standard quality then you can see how much they care. read more

They are terrible. Do not use this company. Bring your own chairs! I showed up on day one and we were all the way in the back. (I booked a month in advance). I asked the Ike's employee politely to try and move us up the next morning. I have six small kids with me and we needed to be closer to the water so we could watch them. He told me he would move us up. The next morning he acted like he never said that and told me nothing he can do and there will be no refunds. This place is a joke read more

Chairs aren't as comfortable as they used to be. Unable to lay on stomach as they don't fold completely down like older ones. Price is a bit high for a 9-5. If 35' from the water must be maintained, 50' is too far. Plus side, we don't have to pack our own when traveling. read more

Parasailing was great !! Everything went so smoothly from calling to book. To a short walk across the beach to access the banana boat to ride out to the parasail boat. The guys (sorry I don't remember their names from our trip 6-8) were so much fun. Very friendly and personable. Also had some great tunes going as well. It was a total memorable time. Ike's Beach Service - Parasailing - Boating Near Me - Gulf Shores, Alabama

We stayed at Sugar Beach condos in Orange Beach, AL. On our first day, we got out to the beach early and we were sitting in the sand in front of one of the chairs. We intended to leave very shortly (and we did). The attendant for Ike's approached us and made sure that we were gone, though (eye roll). I didn't catch his name but he was a young, white male. He did tell us that if we wanted to make reservations that he would be available "just right here" and said 'he's not far' and to be sure to get him to help us. He also mentioned that the cost was $35/day for the chairs & umbrella. So, once we were done with our day I called the number on the back of the chair (no website listed). I was told by the lady who answered that I'd just missed the online reservation window (I had no idea there was an option to reserve online or I would have). It was 3P local time. So, she instructed for me to "just" go down to the beach and "look for the attendant" (which is an inconvenience). So, I went to the beach & searched for him and was unable to spot him. I called the number back and the same lady told me that it was, basically, my problem because he has 6 different beaches to work. The next day, we showed up early and picked a chair that didn't have a name written on it. When he approached us & asked if he could help, we told him all of the effort that we went through the day before, and that no one seemed very interested in helping us. We were not rude to him or the lady on the phone. He quickly looked at me and said that he had 6 different beaches to work and that he could always be found under the orange canopy (something else that he or the lady on the phone failed to tell us). We told him that we were never informed of an online reservation option or the orange canopy. He quickly told me that he 'didn't appreciate' how we were talking to him and that he 'works very hard.' I told him that I didn't appreciate the way he was treating us while we were on our vacation! Again, I was not rude to him, he's just unable to take any criticism or input other than what a great job he's doing. And apparently, the lady on the phone is the same way. He went on to tell me 3 more times how much he didn't appreciate my tone with him (I wasn't raising my voice, swearing, or being otherwise rude). And he also said that he was going to "skip" the gratuity charge so he charged me $45 (when he'd quoted us $35 the previous day). I had originally intended to give him cash but all I had was 3 $20 bills ($60). He grabbed it and said he'd return with my change to which I responded 'no, you're not. Give it right back.' Then I had him charge my credit card. I should also add that I contacted the online rental (place) - Vacasa - and asked about chair rental options. They told me that chair rentals didn't show as an option at Sugar Beach. I did a bit of searching and found out that yes, chair rental options are available at Sugar Beach condos but no specific company was listed. If I had found out that I could have done the reservations online then I certainly would have. I think Vacasa could have done a better job, here. In our case, the attendant failed to tell us that online reservation was an option or that the orange canopy was where he could be found. And when we pointed that out, he was sure to let us know that he didn't appreciate us stating facts and he charged us at least $10 extra for doing so. Don't expect for whoever answers the phone to try to accommodate your needs by reaching out to the appropriate attendant or otherwise. I would give one star but I gave the two star rating b/c 1) at least chair rental is an option at Sugar Beach and 2) the chairs and umbrella didn't break on us. Also, our umbrella needed to be adjusted while we were there so the "attendant" sent someone else to adjust them. (We didn't have an attendant while we were there - he would skip past us while doing his rounds.) We actually left early b/c he was such a jerk. read more

we've used Ike's chair rentals for years. this year they did not do a good job of keeping groups that do not rent chairs from piling up in front of the rented chairs blocking our view and access of the water. why bother paying for chairs...I could have brought my own and saved my money!!! read more

Nash was amazing! The kid works his rear off and makes sure that everything is taken care of. I saw several of their staff members picking up trash and making sure to keep the beach clean, which makes me want to give them more stars. We will 1000% use them again when we come back. Based on some of the reviews and seeing interactions on the beach. It seems they give priority to multi-day rentals. This was really nice because he made sure we were next to the same people throughout the week and we made new friends. Not sure if this is across the company, but Nash would give us a warning about rain. This would allow us enough time to get off the beach for lightening or under shelter to prevent getting rained on. read more

I'll give a three star rating because I guess I can't expect the workers to be friendly but I'll also only give three stars because they were anything but friendly. Very rude and not helpful. I'm not sure if they know but it's a lot like a waitress and the more helpful, friendly, and kind you are the better tip you are probably going to receive. Iv had wonderful beach chair workers with other companies and ended up knowing them by name by the end of the week and giving a great tip but not these guys. Phenoix V condo. Avoid Ike's Beach Chair setups at Broadmoor. I am 1 1/2 feet away from the guy next to me. There is so much beach space available to provide people more room. This place isn't overly crowded. Buy your own chairs and set up wherever you want if you like space. If you like to be elbow to elbow and easily hear your neighbors conversation, use Ike's. read more

We are staying at Phoenix East condos. We went down to the beach and decided to rent an umbrella and chairs for the day. Tristin and John Carter were our attendants and they were super friendly and helpful. They even came around several times asking if we needed anything or if we had trash they could take for us. I was very impressed. Wasn't expecting anything after we paid. Very nice young men and a good representation of the company. read more

We had so much fun parasailing! You actually get three rides for the $85.00 price!! First you take the banana boat out to the boat you get on to parasail. The banana boat is so fun! Then you get on the boat that you actually parasail on. There were 12 people on our boat and the parasail ride is about 10 minutes. I would have liked for the ride to have been a little longer maybe 15 minutes but it was fun and I would do it again. I really liked how friendly the driver of the boat and the guy that hooked us up to the parasail were; they were also quick and efficient. It's a fun experience with kids as well! My grandson that is 9 had a blast being dipped in the water and going back up to the sky. Note: It is recommended not to wear anything valuable so leave your sunglasses, wallet, hat, shoes, towel and anything else in your car. You reserve with your credit card and not charged until you ride so you can add a tip on your card when you get to the pickup area on the beach. You don't need to bring anything but a adventurous attitude. read more

People set personal chairs tents and umbrellas within 4 feet in front of you. then attendant comes by asking for favors for other guests pushing his "tips" pouch. Nicole, the attendant is the best we have ever had. Very very conscientious in making sure the umbrella stayed up even in the sometimes over the top wind gusts. She is a very hard worker and should be commended for such. We stay every year at the Gulf Towers where Nicole was serving. A real gem! read more

We spent a week in Gulf Shores Alabama at Ocean House one. We spent a lot of money on beach rentals and did not get great service from the attendant. We asked on two different occasions to have our chairs and umbrellas moved closer to our location in space that was available because we had a six month old infant with us and the attendant refused to do so. He was not helpful in anyway and acted aggravated to be there. There's also two days that the attendant did not put the beach Furniture out due to bad weather but our money was never refunded - my advice is to bring your own umbrellas and chairs. read more

We tried a different parasailing company yesterday and it was very unorganized and booked too many people at once so we ended up cancelling because were waiting for over an hour past our scheduled time. Highly recommend a banana boat ride! Best time of our lives for the six of us aged 12-61! Wish we had a picture of the pure joy. Loved it!!

We purchased 3 days of lounge chairs. On day 2 the attendee started to write on the back of our chairs while we were sitting on them. ( we thought to make our name more prominent). Turns out the attendee was writing someone else's name. When we came back someone was sitting on the chairs we rented. When we asked the attendee she said she was pressured by another group for her to give them our chairs. She said they kept asking over and over until she gave them our chairs and moved us down the beach. I called customer service and was told the manager was not in, that he/she would call me the next day. They didn't. I called the day after with no answer so I left a message. No one called back. So I called again with no answer. I waited a week. I called back. No answer. Fast forward a month and I write an email and submit a complaint on their website. I get an email the next day from the manager saying that they were the ones I had spoken to in the past (I never spoke with a manager) and that he and the staff had no recollection of me calling multiple times in the past. How convenient. He then went on to say that he was sorry, but chairs that are rented are not guaranteed to be in the same location, and that the money you spend only covers set up and tear down of the chairs. I'd like to know something. How the heck do you not guarantee something with my freaking name on the back of it? How can someone pressure the attendee to move me down the beach and take the chairs that I paid for? Moral of the story, if you are paying for Ike's beach service chairs and you want a specific chair, all you have to do is bully the attendee to give you the chair. It doesn't matter that someone already has the chair. It doesn't matter that someone has already paid for it. If you're a big enough jerk, then you can have it. And you know what? Customer service will do nothing about. No consequences. You get the chair and the other people get kicked to the curb. That's what you get when you rent from Ike's. read more

Went parasailing with my younger brother for the first time and Colby and Sawyer took good care of us. Super friendly and made sure we were comfortable before going up. Recommend trying parasailing out if you've never been, a once in a lifetime experience and the views are incredible! Decent price too, $100 per person (excluding tax) for a banana boat ride out to the main boat and then the parasailing experience. read more

If you're paying for extra parking go next door to Pier 33! We stayed at Oceania and we were told we could park at Ike's or Pier 33 during our stay. Our condo owner said both were $20-$25 a day. Went to Ikes first and they told us parking would be $40 a day. We said we were going to go to Pier 33 to get a quote and the employee at Ike's said "We'll Pier 33 is charging $45 a day. It's a holiday week." The rest of our group went to Pier 33 for a quote and they said it was still only $20 a day. Ike's missed out on 4 vehicles parking due to their holiday price gouging. I won't support a business that lies to get my money. read more

Our beach attendant Xavier was very accommodating, had my chairs just where I wanted them (and I'm fussy about my space), and checked on us a few times a day. The chairs are comfy... not my favorite, as I like to lay on my stomach some, but there were pool chairs for that. Makes my visit so pleasant to have someone take care of seating for me. Only complaint is the chairs go up by 5. Would be nice if there was a way to sit out there a little later. But I think 5 is pretty typical anywhere. read more

Called one day and had an employee tell me I could rent ahead of time. Was also told that I could request a certain location but call back in a couple of days since they weren't sure about the weather yet. Called back again got and older lady who is EXTREMELY RUDE! Would not let me GIVE THEM BUSINESS for two sets of chairs for an entire week! Also told me she would not guarantee me a spot or even write it down. I explained to her that she has terrible customer service and that I was tempted to leave a review for how i was treated and asked for her name. She stated "that sounds like a threat and I don't take kindly to threats so you should just bring your own chairs!" Hung up. Tried to call back repeatedly to speak to someone else and she sent me to voicemail every time. This is disgusting and I have never been treated so poorly by someone I am trying to give my money too. My family was asked to move away from where we were at because it was private property. I said that we stayed at the property and had rented 2 beach set ups . I was told that no person is allowed to be on the sand area. I was very confused and humiliated as I was a guest at Phoenix and was asked if I had rented Chairs. I said I don't even have chairs or anything extra just our bodies, he said not even our bodies can be on the beach, I'm like it's the beach. But even if I haven't rented a beach set up and is a guest I should still be able to be at the beach. There was no real answer on why my family has to move over, he said it was a rule. I was not able to find that rule. He said it was the condos rule. I left the beach to ask the front desk and they have never heard of anything like that before. This has never happened to me before so I felt so discriminated and it ruined a moment for my family. This should have never happened. I won't use your service ever again. Few moments later I see other people at our same spot with chairs so definitely really upset me. read more

Ma'am if you will notice. I said that I didn't not expect a miracle, but I did expect atleast a little effort. There was no effort. Pieces of watermelon, plastic cans used for oil, huge fishing lures, these are just a small amound of the things my children brought up to me from the seaweed where the beach attendants were supposed to be cleaning.... To me ma'am, the job was far from done in a professional manner. The beach next door did have a tidal pool too. I have pictures if you would like to see. BUT MY POINT was that maybe a small pathway could have been made through the water. A couple of the attendants and a shovel would have worked fine. But they spent most of their time sitting and conversing, because the parasail wasn't able to run... They could have been doing something constructive. And the probable reason why more people did not make contact is because I had to make 5 different phone calls before I could even get a straight answer about who was responsible for the beach. Believe me when I say, many many people at our condo were very unhappy! I was just the one who actually decided to try and find out why. And I also found out that Suncoast Beach Services was the group with the green umbrellas. Kudos to them for putting forth effort. read more

Need to designated a couple chairs close to beach entrances as handicapped. I rented chairs for my wife and my self. Asked if he could put me close to the beach entrance because I have arthritis in my feet and knees and explained that walking in sand was extremly difficult for me. I wound up with chair all the way down the beach at the other end of the building next to where I was staying. Chairs were useless to us because I couldn't walk to them..... read more

Our parasail trip got postponed twice due to weather but when we finally launched on Friday the weather was perfect. Our flight was great. It was my 6 year old grandson's first time. My youngest can't wait to go next year. Jason & Josh did a great job & safety was their priority. The music was perfect too! We'll be back next year. read more
