I was impressed with the reasonable price. We ordered falafel veggies with couscous, French fries, Swedish crepe and desserts. The falafel veggies were delicious as well as the couscous. The French fries were crunchy and savory. The dessert plate had three different cakes; coffee cake, and princess cake. My favorite was the princess cake. The meatballs remind me of elementary school meatballs - it was bringing back memories! Mashed potatoes and the lingonberry sauce completes it! 3.5 stars I came on a weekday afternoon. The area was not too crowded, but wasn't super empty either. I got 8 plant-based meatballs. My expectations weren't too high so I was pleasantly surprised by the texture. Not too mushy and the flavor itself was fine but obviously better when dipped in the gravy and jam. This was paired with a scoop of mashed potatoes and green peas. I also tried a bite of the smoked salmon salad. I did not like the smoked salmon - and this is coming from someone who enjoys sushi. The texture was way too slimy for me and it was incredibly fishy-tasting. Maybe the squeeze of lemon would've saved it but I did not want to try it again after that first initial piece. The rest of the salad was fine: greens with honey dill dressing and a scoop of potato salad. Cafeteria style so self-service clean up: drop your tray and plates off at the return station. Tuesday: Get any hot entree for $3.99. Wednesday: Get two free kid's entrees when you buy one adult entree. Thursday: Get $1 off Swedish meatballs. Friday: All customers get 50% off all adult hot entrees. Every day: Get 15% off Swedish Restaurant purchases after 5 p.m. I took my daughters one time on Wednesday after school for afternoon tea and both of them were free and I only bought one adult entree (only on Wednesday). We also went there on a Friday because they were off school. I always like their Swedish meatballs with gravy and lingonberry sauce (I like sweet & savory taste), and mashed potatoes with a lot of gravy. Chicken tenders were big and crispy. Mac N Cheese was also pretty good. However, we all didn't like their rainbow cake. It looked attractive but tasted not good and it was way too sweet. It's also nice to take a walk after eating. It's pretty much like a cafeteria style type of restaurant, go through this line, where there are salads and desserts you can get yourself if available. Then at the end of the line, is where you order the hot food (Swedish meatball plate, fish, etc) from the worker. After that, then you go to the cashier to pay. Overall, the meatball plate was decent, and for $10 for 8 meatballs was an ok price. They ran out of side salad at 6:30 pm that day though, which was a little disappointing. For me, nostalgia is what this place is all about! And to share it with my family is just a fun experience for us all. First off, IKEA is a place where comfortable shoes are a must. You need to walk around and around just to find the exit and build an appetite. Parents, bring the strollers and water bottles. Be prepared to see fun toys. The store itself was clean for 6 pm at night. The bathrooms were ok. But do appreciate the family oriented details like seating area with projected games. The dining hours vary so check before you come out. There weren't many people on the floor to help, I think ngit time, workers are just over it and ready to go home, which I understand. Our family picked two Swedish (8) meatball meals, which comes with gravy on top of the mashed potatoes and meatballs, peas and jam/jelly, then a plant based very for my husband who is on lent and the salmon meal which comes with a different version of mashed potatoes on the side shaped into a circle. Plus, the unlimited sodas, which we got Sierra Mist cola and raspberry tea. The seating are seem opened with the wide windows overlooking the city. We enjoyed our meals while watching the sunset to the west. I surprisingly liked the meatballs. It's not the way I imagined, but it wasn't terrible. My hubby actually like the plant based meatballs. Salmon balls are nice and tangy with a hint of lemon. Doesn't taste fishy at all. The Pork Shank Plate is $8.99 which is probably the most expensive dish on the IKEA menu. Meat is very tender, falls off the bone goodness, and paired very well with their signature gravy. Definitely recommend! You can ask for a small cup of lingonberry sauce to go with your pork shank because it does not come with it. Certain parts of the meat may taste less seasoned so dip in the gravy or sauce. Coffee and tea is free for IKEA Family cardholders and the rest of the family. Came here on a Sunday as we were shopping and stopped by the Ikea restaurant for dinner. It is 6:00pm, and it is still pretty empty. Before, $20-25 would feed a family of 4 along with appetizers and dessert. The restaurant would also be packed. Right now the prices have gone up significantly. The Swedish meatballs cost $9.99 for 8 meatballs, and the chicken thigh costs $11.99. The only reasonable prices were the kids mac and cheese for $2.49 a plate. Our total came out to be $29.72 with no drinks or dessert. They serve the food like how school cafeterias have it. But for close to $30 and still leaving unsatisfied, I didn't think it was reasonable and it makes it our last time to eat here. Positives: The staff was friendly, and we don't have to pay tip since we put away our own plates and utensils. They advertise saying Ikea family members get 5% discount, and they place it all over the tables. However, we showed them our Ikea family card and did not receive any discount eating here.
