We am so disappointed with how our order was managed [ORDER #394080288]. We ordered furniture for our new office online September 3rd. We had to reschedule the delivery, because the building our business was moving into was not ready. Right before the delivery was going to be made, I get an email that 2 items were out of stock and and they refunded us for them. Then you guys automatically change the moving date from October 12th to October 28th without even telling us. Then a couple days ago, we had to reschedule the delivery date again because the office was not ready, and I called IKEA to rescheduled the move to December 2nd. The representative over the phone said I could reschedule anytime I needed, as long as the third party company that was delivering the items had not already picked it up for delivery and advised me not to cancel the order because IKEA USA was having so much trouble with importing products from Europe and products are estimated 6 months to 1 year to be restocked. So I then get the email with the rescheduled date for December 2nd and I think everything is ok........ then the next morning I get an email that it has been rescheduled to November 2nd (next week) and 7 of the products I ordered are out of stock (basically half my order). I called several times, on the phone for over an hour and spoke to 4 different people who say that they cannot get access to reschedule the delivery back to December 2nd because the system would not let them schedule past the first week of November 2021. The line disconnects and I have to do the process all over again. The same response from IKEA and then I found out from the IKEA representative that when you place an order, IKEA does not put aside the products that you ordered until the third party delivery service comes to pick up the order!! SERIOUSLY!! HOW BACKWARDS AND INEFFECTIVE IS THAT! Knowing you have stock issues all over the country and online ordering is at an all time high, wouldn't you think to change that? And why would you not set the items aside for orders already made and PAID FOR!!!!!! SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL. read more

Well the furniture and the layout at this store is fantastic. However the returns area is another story entirely. I had to return an item and it was 4:30 pm on August 5th. I scanned onto my phone the scan code in the lobby area of the returns. A text was supposed to be sent to my phone and I never received a text from 4:30 pm to the time the store closed at 7:00 pm. An employee indicated there were 65 people ahead of me. I also noticed very little staff on hand and just taking their time. Terrible customer service. read more

I didn't pay attention to the negative reviews and went to this IKEA to buy a wardrobe. The website stated that all the parts were in stock, but good luck finding anything in the mess of the warehouse. Parts were mislabeled and misplaced, I finally gave up trying to pick all the parts myself and paid the $25 to have it picked for me, and then an additional fee to have it delivered to my house. They didn't deliver all the parts for the wardrobe I paid for, and I got an email a short time later saying that some of the parts were out of stock (even though, again, the website stated all parts were in stock), and that a card would be mailed (that's right, MAILED) to me so that I can pick up the missing parts at an IKEA store without having to pay again. It's been three weeks and no card. My emails to customer support have been ignored, and the customer support number simply plays an automated message about heavy call volumes and then disconnects the call, regardless of what time you call. The buying experience has been overwhelmingly negative, and I would caution anyone against shopping at this store. Don't be like me and disregard the reviews...they are true! read more

I love IKEA like most and I frequent there. This new location is pretty good. They don't have the same selection as the other one but they do have most stuff. I came here to get a bed frame that I had looked up online before. I like how you can look things up online and it tells you if they have the item(s) in stock and where to find them. I find that super helpful. I come here because it is closer to me than the other one. The people here are helpful and nice. read more

I had a very poor experience at IKEA miami. I bought a bookcase online. When I went to the store to pick it up, I waited for more than 30 minutes to receive my merchandise. The attendant did simply forget me. The other attendant at least apologized. Very poor consumer service. We expected a bed delivery today, as per the confirmed date on our order and when it had not arrived and we called to check. They IKEA employee the nerve to say that the delivery date on the order was a "preliminary delivery date" and that the merchandise was not even on a truck yet. Families make plans, such as getting rid of old furniture when expecting new ones. I just had the most wonderful experience today at Ikea. I shop frequently at Ikea's, just to name a few, Paramus, Elizabeth, Brooklyn, Secaucus, New Haven, Saw Grass & Miami. I have never, ever had such caring and knowledgeable service then I did today. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Julian my salesperson who went above & beyond assisting myself and my elderly Dad. He was extremely patient and kind. My Dad had many needs and Julian was able to explain every detail of many departments, mostly in the desks, desk chairs & beds departments. He explained with great detail the difference between every item we had a question about. He explained the difference between coil & foam mattresses which is exactly what my Dad needed to know. My Dad is hard of hearing, so I am so appreciative for his kindness and ability to patiently explain to us everything we needed to know. Julian is a Gem! I am so very grateful for his service. I have attempted to buy two items from this store on three separate occasions. Each time, despite checking stock online AND asking a worker to check stock in the computer, not all the pieces are available. It was then suggested to me that I either check back on a Thursday or Friday to see if the stock was in and then come pick it up OR have it delivered to me at extra cost OR drive an hit to Sawgrass on the off chance they might have it. Awful. The ABSOLUTE WORST customer service I've dealt with in my entire 28 years of life. Total liars. They had me "reschedule" a delivery 3x, it never came. Called and spoke to 3 different reps and one supervisor, they each had completely different stories. They don't know what they're doing or maybe they just couldn't care less about their customers . They couldn't come up with any other solution rather than to keep rescheduling me. They tried two different delivery services and neither ever delivered the order. It's obvious that they don't care whether your delivery ever gets delivered or not. To work with two different delivery services and for neither of them to be able to deliver your couch for a million different reasons (one being that they didn't have the access code to the gate - I don't have a gate ?) speaks volumes about the company itself. Ended up cancelling my order and getting a refund, but wait- they didn't want to refund my delivery fee!! I had to laugh. After continuing to call them out on their own mistakes and not stopping they eventually included my delivery fee in the refund. They thought!!! I bought a mattress from here and I specifically asked if the mattress doesn't fit can I return it and get my money back and the cashier that attended me said of course bring the receipt and we will return your money back. Now I get here after only four days and the mattress is sealed and spotless they tell me there is a mattress policy and that I can only exchange it for another one. They was very Unprofessional and rude and didn't give me any other option but to get store credit. Why would I want store credit after I been lied to and basically robbed for my money in cash? This is my first time in any IKEA and honestly the worst experience ever. The cashier that told me this lie was cashier # 10071290 the rude supervisor of the store on December,20,2018 @ 8:16pm was Armando and the cashier # 10056982. WORST IKEA EVER AVOID GOING THERE!!! IKEA delivery Is the worse delivery service I've seen in my entire life. We bought an entertainment center from IKEA paid for the delivery and installation. During delivery, parts were missing. Therefore, the furniture could not be properly installed. We have waited for 2 weeks for them to send another person to finish the assembly of the entertainment center. The person showed up at 7pm when the delivery window was schedule from 1-4pm. We patiently let them come in our home because we wanted he job finished. Well, they did not bring necessary supplies to finish the assembly so they could not finish installing the furniture. It has been 3 weeks and IKEA keeps giving us the run around. Horrible customer service, never busting anything from them again. The staff does not know what they are doing, pretty shameful for them to loose customers for this. read more

Toll roads, no customer service, shopping carts in the Showrooms, doesn't seem any larger than Sunrise, and idiotic 30 minute wait for an elevator to leave. GO TO SUNRISE INSTEAD! I have been an avid Ikea shopper for over 25 years now. I've shopped Ikea in New York, Chicago, California, Pennsylvania, Canada, Germany and Holland. And have made many trips to Ikea Sunrise . As a Miami resident I was thrilled to learn that there would be a new, huge Ikea in Miami...well Miami-Dade County that is. So, last weekend I set out to discover all the wonderful things Ikea has to offer at what I thought would be a newer, larger, closer, more convenient location. First problem...toll roads. The previously free trip to Sunrise was now going to cost me at least $3.00+ in tolls to get to/from. And these same toll roads are very confusing as to how the heck to get to the place when coming from downtown. In typical Miami fashion, the highways are terribly marked and at the moment under a lot of construction. Second...you have to enter a mall parking lot first. So instead of just contending with all the other Ikea shoppers, you are also dealing with all the drivers of the Dolphin Mall. Third...ok...so now you are into the parking garage. Not so bad, but you have just spend 45 minutes getting here and you have to pee. Use to be one of the first things to greet you by upon entering most Ikeas is a huge stockpile of shopping bags , a paper yard stick, miniature pencil, a happy greeter, and THANK GOD, a bathroom!!! No such luck this time. Good luck holding your water, Sybil. You've got some walking and stairs/elevators to navigate before you find the resting place for that 24oz diet-coke you had to have for the trip. Ok...you are now 24oz lighter and have made your way up 2, no 3, no maybe 4 floors...I have no idea what floor I'm on. But pretty sure I'm standing at the beginning of the yellow (and blue) brick road that is the starting point of the Ikea showroom. So far..so good. Seems larger, yet I don't notice anything so mind blowingly different from any other ikea. Oh...wait a minute. Strike that. There it is. The worst thing about the largest ikea of them all (Schaumburg, Illinois) has made its way to Miami. CARTS ALLOWED IN THE SHOWROOM...NOOOOOOO!!!! The beauty of IKEA is that it only works when most of its patrons are like a beautiful ballet of NYC yellow taxis all moving as one down a one way street. Some pull off left , some swerve right, but the whole the mass keeps moving towards its goal of a destination decidedly down stream. A task much more easily negotiated when all are on foot. Add shopping carts to the mix and it's like you have a bunch of rebel salmon heading up stream, plus hungry grizzly bears just standing in place causing bottle necks and, well, you should have an accurate picture of the madness. You are half way through and you see something you like but unfortunately this item isn't marked with a price or instructions on how to order or pick up this item in the self service warehouse. Simple...just look for someone in a yellow and blue stripped shirt. Shouldn't be too hard. Ok, I think I see one. "Hello? Excuse me? Could I get a little help? Ouch!!! Damn it!" That rogue shopping cart to the back of the legs really smarts, and the evasive employee managed to ignore my calls for help and is now out of site...off to complete their single -minded task at hand without any deviation from distracting things like helping all these annoying people that have shown up during work hours. (during my entire time there NOT ONE SINGLE EMPLOYEE ASKED ME IF I NEEDED ASSITANCE) A few other small issues, but lastly, and most alarming. I have checked out, exited the store (well sort of...I'm now standing in an outer lobby with no air conditioning) and because I have a flat pack cart must wait in line for an elevator...for another 30 minutes!!! There are only 3 elevators and everyone is using them. Employees use them to get upstairs to the offices. (I assume there must be stairs they could use instead) Other shoppers use them with shopping carts...even though they could take the escalator down to the parking garage. And EVERYONE with a flat pack cart MUST use them to get their goods downstairs to the parking levels. So you wait. And wait. And wait. Whatever time savings I may have gained by traveling 6 miles closer to home (approximately 12 minutes round trip) is not shot to hell by this infuriating, hot wait for an elevator. It was every man/woman/child for themselves to get the heck outta here. Summation...unless you live in South Miami-Dade...it's not worth the trip. Any savings in miles driven will be eaten up with an idiotic wait for an elevator. You pay more $$$ in tolls and sales tax, and the customer service is, well, typical Miami...non-existent. read more

Worst experience I've had. We bought a sofa, arm chair, king bed and 2 twin beds. They didn't deliver the king mattress and 2 twin box springs. They refused to help us. They wouldn't believe us that it wasn't delivered. We took pictures of the products that we received as well as the receipt. The manager in Miami refused to believe, blamed the trucking company. It was all to be delivered Saturday. Never heard from them and we called late afternoon. They had no record to a delivery. So they came Monday. When we realized the order wasn't entirely delivered. We're living on air mattresses still. It was by far the absolute worst store to deal with. It was dishonest, and cheated to the point of robbery. I greatly advise shopping elsewhere. A week later, we finally got help, and it's supposed to be delivered tomorrow. National customer service was great. They said they've had a lot of problems like this in the Miami store. read more

I've been to many ikeas across the country and this one is the worst!!! Don't know were to start... They dont have a month open and you woul've expect everything to be nice and shine.... Well NOT! Bathrooms in the entrance were dirty and not that ppl didn't keep it clean but the flushing system was not working properly. Once upstairs half of the store was empty. Not that product ended and there were empty shelves but just randomly empty spaces. Looked abandoned and not carrying. I am used yo them closing spaces that they are working on or just empty but not here. I guess Miami's not carrying attitude is contagious. Items were hard to find in the marketplace and there were only one worker per 3 areas. In the self serving area again it felt just like Miami. I needed to find a box (which was not in the supposed to be shelf but 3 spaces to the right) I asked for the help of one worker who was passing by and he told me: oh you have to go there (he pointed with his head to the front part were computers are located and a lot of workers were there) and ask them. I went only one of the guys was busy with customers others were looking into computers, talking between them, joking and even texting on their phones. I asked for help and was told to wait. I waited and waited after about 5 min of standing there i just decided to go and try to find an item myself. I did find it!! But it was a big box (a sofa). Somehow my husband and i managed to get it in the cart and went to check out line and after paying we were almost out. Before leaving we decided to get one of those hot dogs and a drink. My husband wanted a soda and i opted for a hot tea. Well we got our hotdogs but the soda machine had a huge handwritten sign of "OUT OF SERVICE" we went for sauce but they were out of ketchup. And finally when i got my hot tea and could not find a sugar i asked a lady who was cleaning the area if she can get me a sugar and SHE DID! She brought me a whole package of sugar "As Seen in your supermarket" Publix brand. She just put it in front of me and kept cleaning. And you would think it was it that we left with our new sofa.... I mean what else can happen? Well the electric ramp wasn't working. It was functioning but there were a a guy directing ppl to the huge line for elevator. We waited our turn and got into the elevator with other ppl. All happy and excited and then there were several floors to go so we pressed the buttons and nothing happened they didn't light and the elevator was not moving. We were looking to each other but luckily elevator moved. It stopped in what was looking like parking lot with loading area so we got out BUT it was wrong floor. So we went yo the elevator again and pressed the correct floor (next one going up) buttons light didn't turn on and elevator didn't stop bit it took us to the office area. We decided just to press all the buttons and see if it stopes in the right floor. Finally we got to our floor, my husband went for the car and i staid in the loading area. A guy with a uniform approached me and pointing to the box asked:"Help?" So when my husband brought the car (minivan) they started loading. The guy took the box and started pushing it inside the car. My husband indicate him that we need to turn the box on a side in order to get it into the car but this is when we discover that the guy wasn't speaking english AT ALL! He just kept pushing the box and you know how delicate IKEA furniture can be. You not supposed to push because it can damage the piece. So finally we loaded the box ourselves and left.... I give them 2 stars only because the brand and I love ikea. But next time i rather travel 1 hour to get to other location (the one we used to go for long time) but save some stress. I hope corporate read this and do something. Very important thing you need to know about Miami is: miami ppl need more trainmen and more supervision and please make then learn some english we are in America! read more

This company is a joke as far as customer service goes... missing piece in a box and a nightmarish effort to get it. So, one hour waiting for a representative on their "customer service" line and after an hour finally had to hang up. Thanks for ruining my lunch hour IKEA! Next I sent an email via their missing part form to customer service and received a thank you for your email page. However, 8 days later no email, no call, no part and not a word or part. We are ignored I guess. It is now Saturday and I have driven 30 minutes to sit another 70 minutes in your torture wood bench waiting area in your Miami store. Garbagio... complete trash. I felt trapped from the second I got in there. No cell service in the building.. verizon, tmobile, or at&t... almost like they do that on purpose. The place was filled with thousands of people, kids screaming everywhere... jumping on everything... the restaurant had dirty trays with half eaten food everywhere... service was non existent... I had the worst experience shopping at IKEA. I purchased a Fjell wardrobe from the IKEA Miami store. I had to rent a vehicle to go to IKEA, purchase the item, and bring it home only to find out that there was a huge crack along the thickness of the side panel of the wardrobe. I called IKEA to resolve the issue and received a call from the resolution department. The representative tells me that all I have to do is send them pictures of the item and they will arrange to have a replacement sent and pick up the damaged part. When I go to email the representative, the email is not valid. So I call again today to see if I can get the email for the same representative only to be addressed by one of the most inconsiderate and rude customer service representatives I have ever spoken with. The lady flat out tells me that the broken part is my problem and that I will have to figure it out on my own. She tells me to go back to the store and the store will see if they will give me a refund or not. So not only do I have to arrange travel to IKEA once again, at my expense, but I also have to deal with the uncertainty that IKEA may or may not take responsibility for their actions and poor quality control. Furthermore, I was informed that the item that I purchased was the last item of its kind in stock at the Miami store so I'm guessing that my only option is to get a refund. It sounds like I paid twice the amount of the rental only to be left with the same problem I had initially, that is, being at want for a wardrobe. I understand arranging travel to IKEA to do my shopping but, not to return a damaged purchase for which IKEA is responsible. I used to shop at IKEA and recommend it often as their customer service and items were very good but, after resolving this experience I WILL NEVER SHOP AT IKEA AGAIN. Furthermore, I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND IKEA TO ANYONE, as a matter of fact, I will recommend that everyone steer clear of this company. EDIT 3/14/2015 Happy PI day people! Location ideal, store great staff inside attentive and very helpful typical Ikea store being to so many around the world. However the parking situation is awful. I am disable man I went with my friend Mandy who wanted to buy a huge mirror. We fallowed the sign for parking it led us to a gravel stone parking lot a mile away from the store. They were using shuttle bus to carry and return customer and if you had a huge item then you would be allow to pick it up at the store. We asked the parking attendant if we could park near the store because of my condition, he totally ignored us. We were told we had to take the shuttle to and from the store, so we drove off went near the store and the police waves us by. But did not allowed us to park inside the store parking, we then asked one of the Ikea employees who was also waving cars by If we could go drive in? He said yes, because of my disable sticker. We eventually made it to the store parking lot, which had many vacant spaces? I imagine because it's new store, the amount of people wanting to visit the store is overwhelming. Either way the store needs to educated/monitor it's employees or contractors on how to handle customers and their physical needs. Because not everyone can ride on a shuttle bus or walk or gravel. We ordered two loft beds from Ikea on 11-11-17. The sales rep was pleasant but ordering took her a long,long time as they are surprisingly inefficient and manual. The beds were supposed to arrive 11-29. We got a text and robo call the day before from their shipping company XPO confirming delivery so we took the day off from work to be there in the broad delivery window. They never arrived and no one answered the phone so we chose the callback option. No one called back. For over one week we tried to contact XPO and no one answers. We called Ikea innumerable times and got through about three times where they promised they would research and call us back, they never called back. In desperation we ordered loft beds from a real furniture company and after another week of calling got through to Ikea where they apologized and said they would cancel the order and refund our credit card. That never happened and we just challenged the charge on 12-22. Hard to believe, but it gets worse... after they said they cancelled our order we got a message from XPO saying they needed to schedule delivery. I called the number back and got my voicemail box, I figured that was a tech glitch. Then my phone blew up with calls, turns out the guy who called me from XPO accidentally forwarded his line to my cell. I received around 10 calls per hour from folks irate with a similar story about furniture that was supposed to be delivered from Ikea. They explained how horrible the process had been and I told them I had the same experience. I tried to reach XPO to get the line unforwarded but that was impossible as they did not answer their phones. Finally XPO sent me an email and I replied please unforward this guys phone. About three days later they unforwarded this guys phone. Do yourself a huge favor and take your business to a reputable company. We ended up getting loft beds from another company delivered on time three days after ordering them. read more

To have 3 cashier lanes opened (out of over 20 lanes) on a Sunday during the holidays is business suicide. When asked if Ikea was understaffed, the cashier replied "Not really." Work on fast service and staff up during weekends. Open the express lane AT ALL TIMES OF THE DAY for customers who have under 5 items so they don't have to wait in outrageous lines. read more

So I decided to wait a little after the grand opening to visit, let all the craziness die down a bit. I went on a Friday afternoon, I was surprised it wasn't too bad!! Big, spacious, lots of options. Parking was a bit weird but it is what it is in a place that tends to get quite busy. So happy to have an IKEA significantly closer to my area, given I will be furnishing my future apartment with things from there. Was much less hassle than the one in Sunrise, and now it doesn't need to be that much of a planned out "road trip"! All in all, great place, great prices and great products. When my daughter moved to California, we helped buy her furniture. We went to many local furniture stores only to find that furniture is very expensive. We decided to go to IKEA and were surprised at the prices. As a young couple starting out, IKEA provided all the furniture they needed at an affordable price. Yes, you have to put the furniture together yourself. Yes, sometimes there is one important screw missing. She had that furniture for 7 years and now that she can afford nicer things, she has given the furniture to my son, and he is using it. I go to the Miami store for the askholmen patio table and chairs. I find the chairs but do not find the table. I look for someone to help in the aisle and there is no one to be found. So I grab the two chairs and make the 35 minute wait in line because who would think of only having ten lanes open during Black Friday weekend to help with customer service?! So when I finally reach the cashier I explain that I didn't find my item and wanted to know if they would sell me the display. He tells me "go back to the floor and look for someone in that area" I told him I was walking around for an hour and didn't see anyone. He tells me "it can't be because it takes one hour to just walk the store". What does that even mean? I came specifically for one item I didn't come to shop around. So he tells me he can't do anything or call a manager. Really after waiting in a 35 minute line there is nothing he can help me with? Really rude cashier and bad customer service. So I leave the two chairs with the cashier because he had upset me and go to customer service to ask for a manager. One very helpful girl (I didn't happen To get her name unfortunately because she should actually be the manager since she's the only helpful and polite person) tells me she will call the duty manager for me. Duty manager Suzy comes along. I can tell by her demeanor she's already annoyed. Tell her what happened with the cashier doesn't even offer an apology. Tells me she will check with the manager from patio about selling the display...comes back says they can't sell a display. But she does offer to order it to have it shipped waiving the delivery fee. Wow perfect I think...so I give her the item number for the table and the two chairs. She tells me why am I including the chairs if they are in stock? I tell her because you may run out of the chairs when I come for the table. So she tells me buy the chairs now and I tell her that's fine and ask if she can ring me up. She says no. I would have to make the 30 minute line again?!?!? Wait are you serious?!?!? I told her forget it, this store is a nightmare, and I am not waiting another 30 minutes in line. She said sorry there is nothing I can do...and let me walk away. 1. Why couldn't the cashier call a manager for me? 2. Cashier needs to speak to customer buying products and spending hard earned money a little better! Nothing upsets me more than spending money and getting bad customer service! 3. Why can't you sell a display? The item won't be restocked until February according to the manager so what's the big deal? Why have something in display that you currently are not selling. Makes no sense but hey I'm not in the retail world. 4. Do you know how easily this could have been resolved if someone would have told me I can order online for a $9.00 delivery?!?!? I found out when I left the store upset and my sister went in the website and saw IKEA delivers. Wow!!! The 3 people I spoke with never once mentioned this. So after wasting 3.5 hours of my day at ikea and leaving empty handed this is why I took time to write this! I get the stores are busy but let me tell you being polite and giving service, good service, beats anything else! I really hope you guys clean up your act. read more

I bought some items IKEA on December 11, 2016 and at the time of paying I made the line in cashier register 21. It was at 3.10 pm. When I got there the light was on indicating that the register was open. Out of the sudden the lady turn off the light and all people in the line had to go to other lines. I asked her why and she replied her shift was over and that the light was off, something that was not true To my surprise, the line 21 kept open and when I went there to ask the lady again, she told me that another person was sent to take over her shift. I went to talk to the supervisor to complaint about that situation and he said he was sorry but he had already sent another employee to take over the lady shift since she was leaving. The only thing he kept saying was I'm sorry while his eyes and face expression were saying other words. The word sorry with a different face and body attitude say a lot more than a word itself. The attitude of both employees was very disrespectful because when I told the lady that the light was on when I arrived on the line, she contradicted my version saying it was not true. My question is Am I blind? I saw the light on and I had to deal with her careless attitude. Her supervisor was as irresponsible as her. He should have had another employee to take over the register on time to avoid situations like this. I had an opinion about IKEA totally different, all of he opposite, but it seems to be I went to the wrong store. And that new employees do not realize about their jobs at the store. Bad customer service makes me think twice about going back to that store. Don't play with people's time. You wouldn't like to receive the same attitude in return. read more
