"No more traveling to Sunrise" as my dad puts it. IKEA by Dolphin Mall is a great addition to shopping near Dolphin Mall. This IKEA is the same as the one as in Sunrise, everything from the size to the food (which is great!). It also includes a very convenient parking garage for all the Miamians that go there for great value in furniture. The breakfast is a great recommendation to try, very cheap and tasty! As all IKEA's you start from the top and then head to their own warehouse where you find your furniture to head off the cashiers, and after you finish with that you can have some cinnamon rolls and pizza to end off your shopping. read more

Hi, i went to get some furniture for my new place at IKEA and i couldn't be happier. I went on a Monday afternoon and the attention i got was top of the top. A super nice guy named Patrick helped me choose everything, helped me place the order, facilitated payment and greeted me goodbye nicely and with a smile. I'm very thankful for his help and kindness so i really wanted to share it in this review. I also need to mention that i went a few months ago to the same Ikea and another member of the staff did the same for me to get my closet. Like many retails stores this one had no employees that could help on the sales floor if you needed it. Many times were disorganized but I believe it was due to the recent holiday. Otherwise the line and staff at the register were friendly which is why I come to Ikea for certain things. read more

Big and Horrible! I'd rather drive from Kendall to Sunrise! Sought after Items always out of stock, not in sync with the Ikea app. This location is heading to bankruptcy if no changes are made. Only tourists may keep shopping here but locals are the ones that own homes in Miami. Some employees are arrogant and dont seem content or grateful of at least having a job. Huge new IKEA store in W. Miami is now open. Tip:. Go early to avoid the crowds. Can't say much more that's already been written about IKEA....except maybe they keep reinventing themselves and always have new and exciting things. Pluses include the restaurant, lighting and the kids section. Minuses are the couches and particleboard furniture. Unless you know what you want and have a game plan, it can literally take you 2-3 hours to get through the store so plan accordingly. read more

LOVE IKEA! Make sure you get the IKEA card so you get the price of any sale item and most importantly free coffee or tea!!! Their cafe area is really good. It's upstairs and you have open windows with a view. The food is good and so are the prices. Upstairs is the showroom. Stroll around and if there is a furniture item you like, take a pic of the tag that tells you the item number, aisle and bin to wear you can pick it up downstairs. When you get downstairs you can pick up a lot of household items. I must add how I love their candles. The furniture you ha e to build is very easy. In the past I've built furniture and I will tell you IKEA furniture is a breeze and I suck and hate building things. But not with IKEA. Prices are great and items are well built. read more

The Swedish would be horrified to visit this IKEA. Trash on the floor even on the way up to the entrance. Bathrooms were so disgusting I had to walk out without being able to use the toilet. Another company that is runned by a bunch of ass clowns. Placed an order back in June and was only able to get the order delivered, instead of just picking-up at the store, which online ordering would not allow me to due, just delivery. Received an email from IKEA that my order was to be delivered on July 7th, that was 3 days ago. Tried to make contact with IKEA's Customer Service number (888-888-4532) and IKEA's USA Corporate Office Customer Service Number 610-834-0180 / 800-434-4532. There was no one answering the phones, just recordings. The USA Corporate Office Customer Service Department informs to leave a message and/or send an email to cr.manager@ikea.com for any issues. It has been 48 Hours and I still have not received an email, phone call nor text regarding the status of my order. I contacted the shit hole delivery service that IKEA uses to deliver their products XPO Logistics, their Customer Service informed, that IKEA has placed my order on hold and nothing has been scheduled for delivery. I tried again to contact someone at IKEA to verify this information, but again was unsuccessful. Since I cannot verify the status of my order and my order according to the email sent by IKEA states, that my order was to be delivered on 07 July 2020, I decided to cancel my order. I went to cancel my order and was emailed by IKEA, that IKEA could not cancel my order at this time. I went through another link and was able to submit the order to cancel my order from IKEA, but still have not received any confirmation at present. I contacted my Credit Card Company and filed a dispute due to the fact that IKEA had Purposely Falsified my Order and Delivery Status and the only avenue available to me to refund my money from IKEA was to file a dispute that IKEA has not fulfilled the order nor delivered the order per their email. I hope this is one of the major companies in the USA that folds because, this company has no regard nor respect for the customers that buy their products, especially during the current situation. read more

WORST service I have ever had in any store. To start with, their pay online pick up in store feature doesnt work, I've been trying for the past 3 weeks and when i asked the manager he just said "I think its not working". Like... what the hell, then do something. I walked around 2 floors before finally finding an employee to ask for help. He directed me to the customer service balcony, where there was no one working at, so i waited for around 15 minutes for someone to show up. I went to checkout and there were only 2 cashiers opened, huge lines and people with multiple carts full to the top. So, i finished off this horrible experience waiting at least 20 minutes in line to pay for ONE item, because the "5 or less items" lanes were all closed. Very passive aggressive manager that doesnt know how to properly service customers, handle complaints and, apparently, his own employees. read more

HIRE MORE CASHIERS!!!! I've been to many Ikea locations. This is the most odd layout of any of Ikea store. I have been a big fan of Ikea since the original Plymouth Meeting opening. BUT, this store is one hot mess! 1) No one speaks English. 2) Out of stock items constantly 3) The check out area is a disaster. Lines are well over an hour long! Must be 25 registers available with only 3-4 open. 4) Then another 45 minutes to get items at pickup desk, with NO, I mean NO assistance to your car. That is now a great distance away. read more

No one can beat IKEA. Best prices for more than decent furniture in both senses: fashionable and durable. Great place to eat too, look up the dates in which by spending $100 you can eat free!! Make sure you eat before you shop and you have your IKEA family card ready. If you don't have one, it's free to get one, and you can get it in less than 3 minutes, on a kiosk right next to the restaurant area. I could not have had a more disappointing shopping experience at this store. From start to finish it was awful. I had to make a return and it took more than 30 minutes to do so. It was very simple, small item. I had my receipt, and my credit card, yet it took 30 minutes of waiting for my turn. When I tried to design a closet and there was no one around to help me use the computers to make my design or answer any questions. After making the designs I went down to collect the pieces. After waiting for over 20 minutes in line to have a question answered (because there was only 1 employee to be found and he was helping the entire line of people) I got my page printed out with a list of items I needed to pick for my closet. I went to the aisle and started getting the items. The first item on the list, that said my entire list was in stock, I could only find 7 of the 25 I needed. I had to go back to the line to ask if someone could locate the rest of the items. I waited, and waited, and waited. Finally I walked around and track someone down to ask. She told me that there was no one to get down any extra items from the storage until 11 PM. I showed her the list that said all of my items were in stock. And she said that it probably had not updated from the last 5 to 6 hours and if I only found seven that they probably had sold out. So after THREE hours of being in the store I left without any closets... I will not be returning to the store...ever. read more

The place is a pig sty--merchandise thrown all over the place, shelf front facings incorrect, broken stock on the floor, empty shelves, stock availability does not match web site. If it were for me I would gave them the less negative point EVER... it's ridiculous how no one assist you, we left the credit card back at the restaurant and the guy who we made the purchase didn't return it, we went to kindly ask them about the credit card and he make like he was looking(when he already knew he had it) we cancel the credit card, this credit card was from another country leaving us more than 60 days without any money. we were more than two hours and he didn't report it. Parents/caregivers: not a good place to shop with children, in my experience. Went on a weekday early afternoon, play area was closed. My plan was not to leave my child there while I shopped, but I was hoping that I could let her play for 30 mins or so before having her sit in cart for a while, while I walked the show room. Great amenity... and yet, unavailable. No-go. The food distribution in this place, for someone with kids, is terrible. Hotdogs are downstairs along with ice cream, while healthy food items and the one item they are known for (meatballs) are upstairs. I had to walk pushing a stroller while holding tray of food for blocks (elevator ride and all) in order to get my food/child's food. Once I was downstairs (where hot dogs are sold) there were only two reg size tables and the rest were high top seating (doesn't work for children). Staff was helpful and I like the store overall, but the food layout and play area being closed will keep me from returning with my kid. read more

The story is long, but eventually IKEA sorted out the mess with this couch and the delivery. I did not receive the original discounted couch that I purchased, but it was replaced for additional money, plus they threw in the assembly after some negotiation. I appreciate that the manager on duty the day I went into the store was patient and willing to work with me. The process though, took over an hour to complete. It appears that if you ever have a problem with an IKEA item, that going through their phone system is a complete waste of time and going back to the store in person is the only recourse. I hate leaving bad reviews. I am a LOVER of IKEA ever since living in England for a year. I often visit Europe, and never miss a chance to go to IKEA for the amazing Swedish meatballs and fresh jam. Today was the first time I went to an "American IKEA" The decor was familiar enough, the products were the same, but the service was TERRIBLE. When I went upstairs, I asked one of the employees If I could order in store and come and pick it up in an hour. She said "No, we don't do that. The things aren't heavy so you can get them". She wasn't friendly at all but she was nice enough to write the item locations on the piece of paper I had. When I asked another British girl with blond hair called Laura ( I think that was her name) to help me she was so nice!! She went out of her way to show me where the kids section was, even though she didn't work in that department, and made sure I had everything I needed from that section. She asked another employee if she worked in the section and she swiftly responded "No. And I don't know where anything is here" before prancing off. I went to the workspaces section to get some more things and I asked two girls for help. The two girls who helped me were the first two girls I spoke Scot above. The one who wrote the locations on the paper and the other one who pranced off like a panda in heat. They quickly glanced at me and pointed in the direction of where I could get it, then continued chatting away. I had to ask them two more times for help and they didn't even bother to help walk me a few feet to where it was, since I didn't understand their hand gesture. They were so rude and dismissive. They acted as if they weren't getting paid to do the job. There was another friendly black guy in the lighting section who helped me but I didn't catch his name he sounded like he had an island accent. The straw that broke my back was how I was treated when I went to the warhorse. There were two male employees slouched by the help desk chatting away. I asked one of them for help and he looked at me like I was bothering him. I said "I need help with this item" and pointed to an item on the paper. He didn't even motion to look at the item. He said "what item?" I read it out for him and said "the micke drawer unit drop file storage" he said "it's over their" and pointed to it!!!! It's 40kgs for both of them!! Extremely heavy!!! He didn't even offer to help me lift it. As I bent down to lift it myself, he continued to chat away. An amazing employee names Jesse or Jessie, a guy with dark hair, ran over to help and said "let me help you with that, it's extremely heavy". He helped me lift it and put it in my cart while the other employee continued to chat away. Your management team needs to teach your employer simple courtesy skills and how to interact with customers. I really hope this IKEA takes a page out of the European employees manual. OK IKEA, I normally love you except the day I went to see you very excitedly, your Miami/Doral location disappointed me BIG time! First off, this IKEA has the same set up as the others-the showroom and downstairs where you pick up your merch. I dragged my son, brother, mom and sis to check out the new IKEA in our neighborhood. And everything was going fine until I get to the registers. The lines were horrific and there's hardly any space between registers. The biggest 2 problems I had were 1) I bought a heavy wooden loft bed for my son, who was very excited after all the walking we did there! After waiting in that loooooong line, we find out that his bed comes in 3 different boxes and I had only picked one of them. So, the cashier tells me to go back and make myself go through all those people in line to go back and get the other 2 boxes!!! I couldn't believe they couldn't just call one of their workers and bring me the other 2 boxes after I paid for them. But feeling I had to just get out of there as my shopping patience was running low, I went back and very hesitantly picked up the other 2 boxes which were very long and very heavy! I had to them push my way back through everyone in line who were rightfully so, giving me looks like "why is she skipping us"! Problem #2) after my whole ordeal of going through all those semi-angry customers waiting in line, I tell the cashier that I would like to have the bed assembled. She then tells me to go to the customer service area, never advised me that I had to have the bed delivered for an extra charge plus the assembly fee of $79!!! The delivery charge was like $59 or so. That adds an extra $140 to the total price!?! When I first looked at the bed in the showroom, I asked 2 different workers if I could have it assembled, none of them either, advised of the delivery charge! Not only that, but the bed has to be delivered in order for it to be assembled!!! In other words, you can't just take it home yourself and just have them come over to assemble it!!! That is the stupidest system IKEA and it makes me so mad that I want to return the $300 bed I have in boxes sitting in my living room. What an unpleasant experience IKEA! I did like their meatballs and salmon and drinks but this whole delivery system needs to work better for the consumer. Having us pay for assembly totally agreed but to also charge for delivery and make it so that the item must be delivered...totally not cool! read more

First time to IKEA in over a decade. While I remember the idea of walking through displayed showrooms I was glad I had my boyfriend (an ikea expert) to show me around. The simplicity of the store is pretty amazing. It really allows you to kinda just do it yourself, but there were still plenty of employees around when we needed one. I was surprised by some of the products I saw and now I'm eager to return specifically for future kitchen supplies. Not gonna lie I was pretty hungry so my boyfriend suggested I go get some food as he waited in the checkout line. Initially I thought I would get the food and be back quick... but he actually ended up paying for his items before I even ordered so we just left. A little disappointing because they had some interesting food options such as an elderflower juice box I was interested in trying. They've certainly made home shopping fun and I can see how this can easily turn into a half day haul. read more

Been here twice and every time I come to this location the employees are the worst, no help, and the worst attitude.. my aunt tried to go up to an employee and ask for help, and the employee right away shuts her down and responded with "I don't speak Spanish," while ignoring her right after.. Let me clarify my aunt spoke to her in English not SPANISH.. after I heard that I went up to her to simply tell her that wasn't right and that was extremely rude and bad customer service behavior.. even after everything I stood in line to ask the other person on for help while I'm next in line she is telling her coworkers in an argumentative tone, when there is a time a place.. I had to say out loud in front of everyone "it's not that much of a bigger deal than you're making it miss." Visited the IKEA store in Doral for the first time today to buy a storage table for the dining room. They had the item I was looking for in stock. I liked the layout of the store in general and all the different products they have. What they really need to desperately improve on is the buying process. After we got the item number for the table we were looking for, we had to wait in line at Aisle 18 to get an order for the item. Then we had to wait in a long line for a cashier at the front of the store to pay for it. Then we had to take our receipt to a pickup area and wait again. The wait time to pick up the item was listed as 30 minutes but it took about 50 minutes. Then to leave we had to wait in line at the big elevators to go down to the parking level again. I felt sorry for the people who were there to make a return, because it was nearly a 2 hour wait for returns. They should have roving salespeople with i-pads than can both place the order for you and take your payment if you're paying with card. And it would also be helpful if the pickup location was on the parking level so you don't need to wait for an elevator to go down with your big shopping cart. read more
