Tough day at work? Naw. stressed from the kids, you bet.... go to a place where everyone knows your kids names.... IKEA... I guess you can delude yourself and say the dining area is modern the food is decent. but $5 a beer... 3 kids being babysat in smalland... you can't beat this place for anything.... they do wine too. And I think they sell furniture and stuff here too... The $1 breakfast is gone but you still can't harp on this place... the lines are ridiculously long but you still can't harp on the place... this is the only place that can get away with murder, and I think I'd still give it a $5 star... I pay $100 to see a Marlies game with my kids... I can bring them here enjoy myself for 1 hour get beers and hotdogs for under $20.... There goes the buzzer, I'm being paged to collect my kids, it's been a fun time while it lasted. read more

It's a shame that IKEA's food court cooks up tastier food than many established restaurant. Needless to say, the food here is beyond expectations. I ordered Swedish Meat Balls ($6.99), served with a choice of mash or fries, smothered in gravy. The meatballs here are a staple of IKEA. They are tender and moist, with distinct flavours that differentiate it from traditional meatballs. Their gravy is a simple bechemel with small hints of pepper. Fries is not your typical McCains'. Although I would not go out of my way to eat IKEA, this furniture giant would make a killing if it entered the fast-casual food business. read more

Hi I went Ikea to get a child twin bed set normally I enjoy going to Ikea. When I arrived I asked on the guys near checkout where the beds would be. He directed my to the app and showed me how to use it to locate stock. So far so good. I found the bed frame and then using the computer because the app would not work I found the mattress. Then I realized I needed sheets so after wondering around the maze for quite some time I found them and eventually found my way back. I took my purchase to self Check out and headed home. Once I assembled the bed frame I realized I was missing the slats. Perhaps a sign of some notice would have been helpful. I went back today to get them and spoke to a manager about why they are on different locations and how would I know unless I'm told. She said the check out situs have told me. It didn't. Some improvements would be good. Keep components together or a huge sign of notice at check out. I will ask many questions next time and be sure I have all the parts. read more

Bought a memory foam mattress 3 years ago which included a 25-year warranty and Ikea refuses to honour the warranty after the entire top of the mattress bunched up and is now unable to be slept on. I even offered to drive it back to Ikea at my own expense if they would replace it and I was still told no. I will never shop at Ikea again and I have spent thousands over the last couple of years in that store. read more

BEWARE of their contract for deliveries and assembly. Their CSRs probably will just ask you to sign an agreement without disclosing to you the most important part. ***All furniture need to be in exactly the right place for the assembly team. *** If it is even in so much as a different room next to the correct location they will refuse to assemble and you lose the $ amount you paid for assembly. read more

this ikea is nice but I'm not in love with the location. Every time I have to go here just going inside the street takes 10 minutes because There is so much construction going on constantly. This location has a lot of good things but it's always hard to find when I came to look for and I feel like I end up wasting a lot of time instead of being productive and actually finding what I came for. It took me about three times to actually go and get good organization items for my drawers in my dresser. Every time I would come home with the stuff that I thought with useful but in the end it was just not good enough because I never found the stuff I really came for until I finally asked around and was able to get it. I will definitely be coming back here as this is the closest one from my house but it is frustrating that I'm not always able to find exactly what I came for I just wish they had things laid out in a better manner it just gets really confusing in the marketplace and nothing is in it's rightful place. read more

There are always good deals at IKEA and the plus is cheap food when you're shopping. You can easily spend $200 but get your money's worth. Great for kids moving out for their first year of college or university or just to add a couple of things around the house. Driving around here you have to be careful, it seems everyone is in a rush to get in and out. IKEA has just introduced the family card, giving their customers free coffee and tea when visiting. Check it out! 3/5. read more

When food is this cheap, I almost feel like I don't have a right to complain. I had the fish and chips for $5.99. They were average. Nothing to write grandma and rave about. But it's IKEA...for dinner. I can't expect much. The dessert though was awesome. I would go back for Almond cake any day of the week! On to the shopping. I only walk through the whole of IKEA if a) it's not busy or b) it's a date. This was both. I actually love IKEA for a date spot. It's cheap food so no one breaks the bank, it's great conversation starters as to why he would choose any bed frame over MALM and you can make fun of the furniture names and the families walking by. We strolled along, picking out furniture we would use to stock our "soon-to-win million dollar Princess Margaret sweepstakes" homes. We mocked people that weren't going the right way along the directional path. We had deep conversations over the history of bed designations ("why call it a twin if twin means two?"). I almost forgot that I was there to shop as well. I lose my mind in two sections when I'm at IKEA Vaughan: home organization and home decoration. I will spend hours trying to determine which size bin will work for my at-the-moment home organization project. This time, it was buying shoe boxes with clear windows to see what shoes are inside. IKEA also has some great paintings and photos. If I could afford to drop down $200+ on top of the usual IKEA bill, I would buy one on the spot. I noticed that any straight-laced adult will turn 5 once they enter IKEA. Actually heard a man making a racing car noise as he turned a flat-bed cart around a corner. read more

We visit this location most. With 2 little ones, we like to walk around grab a bite in their little restaurant , they have fair selections on food, healthy food options, their curry coconut soup is fantastic! Everything is pretty much 100% kid friendly even offering baby food for our youngest, diapers if u need, microwave, games in every corner...etc. And even Beer for daddy :) yes beer! .unfortunately ... the downstairs snack bar, STAFF is as miserable as they come!!! ...unlike the playground which was recently renovated. Our oldest looovesss!! The play area however, of the store; where the kids would try out the toys, tunnels and tents-- used to be better! No big deal, but could improve... We never leave empty handed there's always something small For the house or the kids to pick up, fun and inexpensive 'outing' even with 2 little Ones :) read more

Ikea is one of my favourite stores and my house is full of their furniture and accessories. I have lots of experience with Ikea. And for the most part they provide a great customer experience. Today I went to pick up a mattress that I saw in their flyer. Checking online is always a good idea -- after many experiences of "out of stock" items. In fact on many occasions I have felt that Ikea must be Swedish for "out of stock". I was pleased to discover there were 11 of the item I wanted in stock. You can also check online for the Bin and Aisle number of the item in the warehouse so you can find your items with ease. Sadly when I got to the specified location it was not easy to find the mattress I wanted. I proceeded to ask one of the many staff members on the warehouse floor and one of them was able to sort through the mess of mattresses to find the one I was looking for. Also a good idea to take note of the item number since the labels are not always easy to understand. I finally figured out by the time i left that there are different icons for firm and plush on the mattress labels. I successfully purchased the mattress (rolled for easy transport) and loaded it in my car without assistance. Then I headed back inside to grab lunch at the restaurant. The Swedish meatballs are a staple - the menu selections are minimal and there are really only a few options now. If you are a member of the Ikea Family loyalty program you get $1 off the meatballs. I have to say that their carts for multiple trays are a great addition - I only wish they had those when I used to go with little kids in tow and not enough hands to manage multiple trays. Overall it was a good experience this trip. I will be back. read more

IKEA is cool. Walk around in a maze with neat furniture left and right all fairly priced. I think right at the entrance before escalator, they have my dream bed. The kind where it is so big you can roll back and forth and feel like you are floating on a cloud. Yes, I know it is not possible, but I can dream. There food smack dab in the middle of the maze, where you can pick up some cheap eats. I am usually too busy looking around and don't do this stop. It is up to you. Now here comes the worse part, the cashier! You have to pay real money for the stuff you picked up on your long trek. read more

5 stars because it's monopoly of $1 breakfast. If you're getting a meal for $1, you really can't complain. Im a marketing student and we looked at IKEA as a case study and I love to appreciate them even more. A truely intelligent business plan that looks after their customers. read more

Ikea always has the best valued food options. From their fast food (hot dogs and frozen yoghurt) to their dining options (salads, fish and chips, meatballs, pasta, etc). We visited the Vaughan location for dinner and each meal was under $10 which was definitely a steal. Both my friends ordered fish and chips for $6.99 with side of 5 meatballs for $1.49 and pasta for $2.99. As for myself, I got grilled salmon with steamed vegetables and side of garlic bread $0.50. Everything was very flavourful and portions were pretty generous, especially for the price point. My only compliant is that the garlic bread was really stiff since it looked like it has been sitting out for a while. The shopping experience was great as well, not a lot of people there and staff at the warehouse are helpful in helping you locate all the components needed for the furniture piece. They offer same day delivery starting at $59, depending on which geographical location you are in. Just note that you need to drop it off at delivery before 3 pm. In addition, you can pay an extra $40 to have an associate pick up all the pieces you need and is a good option to consider if you need several pieces of furniture. If we had room for dessert, we would definitely grab a frozen yoghurt on our way out! read more

This is THE BEST place to play hide and seek, I kid you not! The selection in furniture and anything home is GINORMUS! I came here looking for beds and couches but to no avail. I did not see anything I liked or anything that matches quality to price. In fact, I find that most Ikea products have had quality declines.. My brother has 3 glass display cases - the first one bought about 10 years ago and the second and third 2 years ago. The thickness of the glass decreased, making the entire case quite wobbly if you apply too much pressure. I have also seen videos of the glass inserts collapsing (I think it wasn't assembled properly). If you want quality furniture, go to Leons during their sales.. I guarantee you'll find something GOOD! :) No matter how the furniture selection is, the biggest part to Ikea is their FOOD! LOL I come just for breakfast sometimes and it's the cheapest b'fast you'll ever get! Portion is awesome for the price and the Swedish meatballs...... HUGE NOMS! Thanks Ikea, for the FOOD! :) read more

Ikea has cost me time and money because it claimed I could order stuff online and pick it up at a locker after regular hours but hasn't delivered. Ikea's staff marked my order as 'picked up by customer' when it hasn't been picked up. My credit card has been charged for the order when I have not received my order. Ordered locker pickup but staff never sent locker number. Multiple phone calls waiting on hold. Drove to pick up but couldn't make it during regular hours. Wasted time driving to pick up another time when no staff were present at pick up point. Very unhappy customer. read more

I am fairly predictable when I stop in at IKEA for a bite, but I have tried a few of their offerings. My favourite go to is the chicken coconut soup and a salad. $1 breakfast before 11am and frozen yogurt/soft ice cream cones for $1!! Furniture wise - almost anything basic you would want in a house. They don't have the largest variety/selection of items, but the basic options are there (e.g. spring, foam and memory foam mattresses for different sizes), but nothing superfluous, as expected from IKEA. Store didn't seem to be that accessible since I noticed a lot of the elevators were closed off and such though. Service is very curt and almost on the point of rude, so you're probably better off looking for things yourself. Overall, would come back for their food and because their furniture is also reasonably priced, even when you compare it to other places like Wal-Mart, even if they are on sale. Only issue is that you have to build it yourself, but that makes moving the actual furniture pieces way easier! read more

Get ready for the roller coaster ride from hell. IKEA kitchen event They do somethings great, but then totally miss the mark on others. My time meant nothing to them Customer service were robots Returns on damaged and wrong goods was easy, accept for the hours i had to spend doing it 3 or 4 times Sink install to IKEA means just left resting on your counter (not even fixed in place) Online customer service is useless. IKEA is the place to be for those that enjoy assembling furniture. Great decorative ideas and all for a reasonable price. We drove 2 hours and twenty minutes to Vaughan to go to Ikea, made our decision on a product, paid for it and had to get two pieces at the pickup counter. There were 6 orders ahead of us and an estimated wait time of 16 minutes. After 45 minutes I approached the counter to ask about the status our order as it had been over twice the time projected, I was told by the clerk, " I am not surprised" I said he should be surprised and if our order was not ready in a few minutes we would be returning all merchandise. We waited another 15 minutes and then returned all merchandise, no pickup order appeared. I spoke to a manager who said he would look into it but no results. What a waste of our time and money, never again. Wanted to give it a zero, but couldn't. I guess Wayfair is the way to shop. read more

My wife and I usually love to have the meat balls when we go to the Vaughan IKEA. This time the food tasted different for some reason and as we were driving home I said that I'm dropping this place from my list of favorite places to eat. Never come here on a weekend. Ever. Come on a weekday evening to avoid crowdedness and upset babies Unlike other Yelpers, I really enjoy the food court. The pasta is good and even tastier with meatballs, but the garlic bread, cinnamon buns and things that sit outside are usually stale :/ However, the price of the food totally changes everything; 3.66 for homey comfort food under food court price? There's no way I can write a bad review when it's that cheap. Also, the carrot muffins are addictively bad and become really delicious as I browse the furniture. There are a few things you should know to make your shopping experience better at IKEA. In no specific order they are: * under no circumstance should you visit this store on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Crowds are unbearable. Shop on a Monday or Tuesday when it's so quiet you could hear a pin drop * bring the little ones as there's a playroom where you can drop them and then you can shop at your leisure (either here or elsewhere) * there are some terrific ideas to be had while walking through the place (who knew Swedes could be so brilliant at design). * take the shortcuts when you can. Walking through the entire store is quite the chore...if you know what you want, make a bee line for it (this rule only applies if you've visited the store more than once) * best place to purchase picture frames, candles, furnish a dorm room, get kitchen stuff * large, blue over the shoulder shopping bags go with any ensemble * best place for a cheap Swedish meatball fix * the no hassle return policy is brilliant * Ice cream cones for a $1 * relatives who do not have an IKEA where they live will be entertained for hours when they walk through the doors...much cheaper than Wonderland ! * self check out is easy * staff are friendly and helpful * ample parking read more
