We had Mike do our cabinet in our kitchen recently. He was very professional and on time. He knows a lot about IKEA stuff and seems to be good at it since he's done it a lot. Our kitchen turned out great and we love it. We had a bit of an issue and that's why I'm writing this review to give the readers a heads up. While Mike is professional and knows what he is doing, he thinks he knows it all and over powers the customers with his contract and fine prints which barely many people read. The last day of his work, we had another worker that needed to do something on the kitchen ceiling that literally took less than 10 minutes. We asked Mike if he could work on it while he could work on other parts of the kitchen (our kitchen is pretty big), he agreed and continued his work. After the other worker left, he told us he is going to charge us extra $300 cuz that worker interrupted his work. He really didn't. Mike had plenty other work to do and was working other side of the kitchen and the other worker did not interrupt him. I was so disappointed that I didn't even say anything. He then on his own called and told us to pay $200 extra instead and he sent us the little fine prints that was on his contract. Again, I didn't argue because it was so petty and wrong on his side that it was not worth an argue. I wish he could have told me before the worker started. He also tried to tell us the designer didn't do certain things right and he insisted not to put a panel between our fridge and oven. He does try to cut corners sometimes. We needed up calling him back and asked him to put that panel between the fridge and oven like how the designer suggested and it's highly recommended cuz of the heat of the oven. He also forgot to put the shelves in and when I called him back to come do it, he told me it was very easy to do and we could do it ourselves, however, he ended up coming and install the shelves. So just watch out for him cutting corners and try to outsmart you. He does do a good job but don't let him over power you with his BS. read more

Mike saved my living room! I just had a horrible experience working with the team from Taskrabbit (which is now how Ikea coordinates assembly). They were scheduled in advance for a Friday morning (Ikea delivery was a Thursday) and we spoke via their text messaging service verifying the job and the time. However, the assigned tasker was a no show and I had hundreds of dollars worth of Ikea equipment for my Besta home entertainment system in my living room that was untouched. Not to mention I have an active toddler, so this was also a major safety issue. At that point, my wife and I were looking for someone who is more reliable and accountable, especially since it is their own business and reputation versus an "uber" handyman service. Mike was easy to contact, friendly to work with, clean and efficient when it came to assembling and mounting. He gave us options in terms of arrangement and provided his expertise. Mike has been the most amazing kitchen installer we could have dreamt of! I needed a kitchen installation in 10 days and he could do it. Mike replied promptly to all my emails and text messages and showed up in time at the location. After day 1 (kitchen assembly) he figured that our wall wasn't straight enough to install the kitchen (planned on day 2) so we had to trouble shoot with our contractor to come in and fix the wall and postpone Mike. He has been super helpful in the situation and scheduled his agenda around and charged us just a minimum amount for the lost day.
