This IHop is always clean, with good food and service. The value is great as I am a senior. This weekend, they went the extra mile. We took our granddaughter to eat after a movie. She ordered french toast sticks, but they were out. Instead of disappointing my granddaughter, the server and the chef created homemade French toast. It was fabulous. The generosity of spirit and focus in the customer demonstrated by these people says that IHOP hires great people. I see something new that I like about this IHOP every time I go. Wow. The service was amazing! We were worried because they gave free short stacks on National Pancake Day, and at some restaurants when you get free food the service treats you poorly. However, after a good experience on Veteran's Day, my wife and I decided to try it again this day. We were both pleasantly surprised. They also offered a buy one get one free crepe deal, so for the price of one crepe plate we received two plates of crepes (we went savory with chicken pesto crepe and bacon & eggs crepe) and two short stacks of 3 pancakes. The crepes were amazing, with the savory balancing the sweet pancakes. The server was attentive, enthusiastic and polite. My wife and I expected leftovers, but both cleaned our plates. We waiting for almost an hour for our food we waited so long my kids finished their juice and the waitress never came back to check if we need refills and once our food did make it to use everything was cold the French toast, eggs, pancakes and bacon was cold. This is the worst experience I've ever had at an IHOP. My husband and I arrived at 6 PM, ordered right away, and didn't get our food until 6:45. Our waitress disappeared for long periods of time and ignored our empty drinks. When our food finally arrived, it was ice cold and undercooked. Was in West Monroe,. LA IHOP the evening of February 9th, 2018. What a dirt bag operation. We were there a year ago and we are locals and left because of poor service and worse treatment by the wait staff. I said to the Mrs, I may be crazy but I would like to try them again after a year of staying away cause they "Fell on thier sword" last time and the did it again. Seems like they cannout get some people in there who are interested in do a a good job. Tonights misadventure begain with the Mrs ordering a new item on the menu. A "Fisherman's Platter". Well that cook and that waitress sent to the table my order fine but the Mrs was simple fried fish portions with a big wad of plain mashed potatoes ! The dish was to have Shrimp and fish with french fries with dipping sauce. She also had ordered soup of the day witch was potato soup. The shaggy imcopotents, called in the manager. Well the soup returned and it was the same mashed potatoes with some gavy over it and dressed to look like soup. When the fish order finally came to the table, it lacked the fries and the dipping sauce. I was frank and forward with them. I wanted my order reheated cause I waited for the cook to cook the order right and put it on the plate but it was still wrong. It lacked the dipping sauce and the fries. My wife and I were insensed ! They did refill the drinks and then handed me the bill for the bill of fare. When I got to the reception area, the manager who had working feversishly to correct her staff's mal performance, tried to make it up. I do not fault her but I do fault the waitress who let this Abortion make it out of the kitchen and the cook who needs to go to highschool and learn english. Other than that.... I stopped by this location to grab a quick bite before starting my day, and the food actually wasn't that bad. The waitress forgot about our food and almost didn't bring it to us, but we still got it after she fixed the problem. I went to use the bathroom and there was a worker sitting on the toilet that was leaking all over the floor. I chose to go in the stall next to them and the water was all over the floor in my stall as well. There were pieces of toilet paper in the water to possibly "dry it up" but it was clearly not working. The entire bathroom wreaked of a sewage smell because of the leaking toilet. The handicapped stall had stains on the seats that could only be poop that had been there for what looked like months. The entire bathroom was very unsanitary and disgusting and did not look like it got cleaned at all. While paying for our food, my boyfriend pointed out an ant crawling on the counter and the employee proceeded to smash it with a stapler. That's all I have to say. read more

This place is one of the only late night options in the area, which is probably the only reason it stays in business. The food is decent and we have always had friendly service. The reason I am giving it one star is for the way it is managed. Even if the restaurant is less that half occupied you may still wait twenty to thirty minutes for a table because they don't have enough staff. The wait for food is at least that long as well. The past few times we have been here they have been out of several menue items (pancake batter, Sprite,hot chocolate, etc.). I love this place. Where else can you get every pancake known to man, and some that are only whispered about in secret? This place gets a bad rap, but I've yet to have a bad experience here. My friend and I were seated immediately and the very polite and friendly waitress took our drink order. I decided to get the pumpkin spice pancakes, with scrambled eggs and hash browns, while my friend went with some sort of goofy crepe concoction. Not really sure which, because my ears were ringing from the awesome band I had just seen play, so I was kind of in my own world. All I knew was that pumpkin spice pancakes were coming to my table soon. As these are only available for a limited time, I have to get my pumpkin spice fix as much as I can. In a perfect world, it would be October twelve months a year and every day would be Halloween. But we don't live in that world. Probably for the best. Somewhere in an alternate universe, there's a version of me living in that world, bitching about how every month is October and he's sick of pumpkin spice. What a jerk that version of me is. Anyway, our drinks arrive and their tea, as always, is delicious. We had three teenagers sitting behind my friend. Since he was dead to the world and not saying a word, I could hear everything they were saying, in spite of my ears ringing from the rock that was willingly shoved inside of them. On a side note, if you ever get a chance to see the band Goodbye June, I highly recommend you do. I wish I could write a Yelp review on them. Anyway, these teenagers were so polite to the waitress and to each other. They were talking about how one of them had found a wallet that day, while on their bike, and made sure it got back to the proper owner. And here came the food! Yes! My god, those pancakes looked so good. I nearly had a religious experience with them. My friend's crazy crepes looked good too, but I wasn't sure about that weird sauce on them. Since he looked like he was about to fall asleep, face first into his crepe creation, I didn't ask. My entire world was pumpkin spice pancakes, scrambled eggs, has browns, and the always delicious sweet tea. For six minutes and eighteen seconds, there was no war, no famine, no Kardasians, no Kanye West, no Fox News, or CNN. There was only me, my food, and my taste buds. To them, these pancakes were like taking a very potent dose of MDMA and the syrup was their dj. But like all highs, there has to be a comedown. And that comedown came in the form of an empty plate and a yet to be paid check. Bummer. Oh well. You have to pay to play, or eat, in this case. And the price was very reasonable. Less than $10.00 for my meal, with drink. Less than $20.00 all together, because I bought the creepy crepes, too. Least I could do for my tired friend. And with that, we were gone. I arrived at the restaurant at 11:21 and was met with staff who seemed to be confused and long lines. I waited 30 minutes for my order. During my wait I decided to use the restroom. The restroom was disgusting. There was a clogged toilet and there was paper in the sinks. When I finally got my order I had to ask for my two drinks because the staff forgot. Finally, I got home with my order only to discover that I was missing the pancakes that came with my meal. I'm very disappointed with my experience at this IHOP. Went to iHop for some pancakes and other food and only got one drink and after that drink was gone no one got me my refill even after I asked 2 different people twice for a refill still had to eat my whole order with nothing to drink. Ordered a coffee and a milkshake as well and didn't get either of them until well after the server took all our plates away even then they had gotten my milkshake order wrong.
