My wife wanted to go out for breakfast today, so we decided on IHOP. We both ordered the Breakfast Sampler and chose to substitute waffles for the pancakes, which added an extra $4. The waffles were a nice upgrade and came out fresh and hot. Our waitress, Angela, was the highlight of the visit. She checked on us consistently without being intrusive, kept our drinks filled, and made sure we had everything we needed. Friendly, attentive service like that really makes a difference. The only downside was the sausages--they were noticeably burnt, which took away from an otherwise solid meal. Everything else on the plate was cooked well, so it stood out. Of course it's the spot to come to after hanging out all night since they are open 24/7. I was highly surprised at the service we received here and I have no complaints at all. Our server was extremely attentive and such a gentleman. We had a large party but as I typically close after a gathering not everyone arrived at the same time. As more people trickled and he suggested we moved to a larger table for our crowd multiple times before we actually did. There was no problem with moving us over and later on when more people trickle down the manager even came out to socialize with us and make sure we were good. It was late night and we were enjoying ourselves so much I forgot to take pictures of the food. But simple breakfast food made correct is never unappreciated! On this here Friday morning my stomach was craving IHOP. So I called my order in for curbside pickup. I spoke to a delightful employee who took my order pleasantly. I felt her smile through the phone. Fast forward to 20 minutes later, I went to pick up my food. I ordered the spinach and mushroom w/ no spinach but add broccoli instead. I arrived to pick up and Craig- the manager rang me up. He was pleasant too. So I get home, open my bag and proceed to eat. One word SPINACH! *insert toe tap* I specifically asked for no spinach. I immediately called back to IHOP and spoke to Craig. He apologized and the apology was appreciated. He offered me a credit in which I will be using at a later date. I started eating as I picked off spinach, then I came in contact with a clump of cheese. The omelette was clearly thrown together without much effort. Been to sit in once late and picked up to-go once early. Both times were good experiences. Everything was done correctly and in a timely manner. I appreciate knowing that even though they are understaffed like most, they are still trying their very best and it shows. My roomate and I got selections of the limited time Minion menu they have for the new movie, and both times everything wax excellent. I know it's hard to mess up breakfast food, but hey, at least they don't! A new menu can item can always throw a chef for a turn, but they've seemed to get it down instantly and do it well. This is an older location so booths are chipped tables seem to be perpetually sticky and that bathroom is always dark and never clean enough for me. The waitstaff never writes anything down which i gibe up a round of applause cuz i could never remember an order by memory but they also dissapear often so refills are hard to come by. Not that i wanted a refill on the lemonade i had it was so sweet it wasnt drinkable. While visiting family, we stopped in to one of our favorite family spots for breakfast! Since we are from out of town, we haven't been to this location before. But when we went, we had a wonderful experience at this location! As a previous reviewer had mentioned they were all very welcoming and friendly. We didn't wait too long to be seated. Our sever immediately came over to take our orders. I would say within 3-4 minutes she returned back with drinks and was ready to take our food orders. The 3 of us ordered and within 15-20 minutes all food orders came out, hot! I ordered the big steak omelette, buttermilk pancakes and a side of hash browns, we also ordered an appetizer sampler, split decision and a silver 5 kids meal. There was no complaints and everyone really enjoyed their food. As soon as we were done, the took all the plates. There were no leftovers, we were pretty hungry. They did offer dessert, but at this point we were all stuffed. Check came and we were all happily on our way. When we are ready to visit family again. This location was very busy when we went in. I'm not a huge fan of IHOP but it's not the worst thing. Once we got seated after waiting 30 minutes, our waitress took a very long time to get our order. It was crowded so not surprised. Both of our silverware sets were dirty so we asked for new ones. The food came out in stages which is a particularly annoying thing to me. It would be nice to have everything all at once. One of the items never came, my water was never refilled even though my friend's soda got refilled twice. The food was just okay. Impromtu Family Breakfast!!! Wow, what a surprisingly fantastic experience! The gentleman (young, short thin AA guy) that placed us on the waiting list was very welcoming and kind. We waited a true 15 minutes as we were informed we would and were quickly seated. Our wonderful table person (didn't catch name but young Caucasian girl w dark hair a pretty "kordell" tat on inside wrist) immediately came to take beverage orders instantly. Within 5 minutes she returned back w drinks and ready to take food orders. Everyone ordered and within 20 minutes all food orders came out well plated, hot and on time. There were no complaints and everyone genuinely enjoyed their food. As soon as we were done, all the dishes were collected, dessert offered and the bill brought out. So I have lived out Randallstown all my life and this IHOP has been here for as long as I can remember. This particular visit I was not impressed. I did not love my visit. It all started when there were no booths available. I don't like sitting in the middle of the floor. My food took sooooo long to come out. I feel like I could have went in the back and fixed it myself. Not sure what the hold up was. Maybe someone called out? My food wasn't good at all but I did not want to be petty so I did not take it back. I ordered Beef tips and they were really rubbery and chewy. When I was done my waitress disappeared. I had to go and find someone so I could pay. My waitress was nice besides the point she disappeared but it look like she was just coming home and maybe had to get a job due to her probational officer request. I was very pleased with my experience at this IHOP. In fact, it was probably the best I've had. First of all, they offer flavored coffee creamers instead of just half n half. When the server took our order, he didn't even write it down. I got worried because my mother is very specific with her orders, and I was afraid that the server would make a mistake. I really love the Liberty Road restaurant but they need to deep clean that place and stop surface cleaning. Went there a few days ago and pulled out the chair to sit down and put my hand in a glob of syrup. Sat down to clean my hand and put my hand in another glob of syrup on the side of the table that has the parts that fold down (it was mixed with old dirt) I informed the waitress of the uncleanliness and asked to sit somewhere else and she acted like she had an attitude. Another employee asked her why we were moving and instead of her telling the truth she told her we didn't want to sit there. Needless to say we left because I don't want anyone serving me or handling my food with an attitude. I hope the owner sees this. Deep clean your nasty dining room. We are still dealing with COVID.
