The place smelled horrible like sewer gas. We ignored that and ordered. The server would not let my wife order a grilled cheese sandwich since it was only on the kids menu. I love going to IHOP, it's one of my family's favorite restaurants. My little boy likes to get the birthday cake pancakes, and my older son likes the steak and eggs, my husband always gets the stuffed French toast with apples on it, and I usually get the strawberry pancakes. If you've been to one IHOP you've been to them all, this one is no different. The service is friendly, and they will refill your coffee all day. Love this little breakfast place. My only complaint is that it's on a busy street, I wish it was a little more secluded. read more

Waited about 15 minutes until we were waited on, and about a half hour for our food to come. This is literally the worst breakfast place I have ever been to. Me and 4 others waited for 45 minutes while they had 10 tables open and cleared just sitting empty. There were groups in line waiting who could fill every single table but they did absolutely nothing. The workers and wait Staff walking around were slow and the front desk Staff were completely incompetent. Multiple families in front of us left out of anger from waiting for an hour and not being seated when there were open tables. I have never seen a business care so little about their customers. If they could get 0 stars they'd get it. So get this, we didn't even get seated. The restaurant was empty, it was Thursday evening (today) at 5:35 pm. We had a large party, 11, and one member had already given a heads up and was there about 10 min before us. When the rest of us arrived, to an empty restaurant, he (manager) came back out to say that he would seat us momentarily. Again, the restaurant was empty. Two more families came in and walked out in the next 15 minutes that we sat there waiting. Finally the server came up and asked us why the manager hadn't seated us yet and said she'd go find him, but she was the only one working so give her a sec. So yeah, we told her we'd just go somewhere else. That was ridiculous. I get you are short staffed, but dang, seat folks and and take drink orders. I mean, act like you care! That was a whole mess!! I had the munchies big time last night so thought "Hey. IHOP sounds good". Upon entering I was greeted by a very nice young man. He told me I could choose any table. I sat down and noticed that the table was pretty dirty. It was also a mess on the floor under the table. The man said he would clean it up. Several minutes later the waitress came over and asked if I was ready to order. I had not received a menu yet and the table was still dirty. She said she would be right back. She returned a few minutes later with a third person. He agreed that the table was really dirty and started laughing. He ran a cloth over it. The table was still pretty dirty but I let it go. I finally got to order some food. As i was waiting for dinner the staff was chatting it up pretty loud. At this point I was pretty sure everyone working there was high. Not that I am against getting high. Its just that you should try to maintain when working with the public. The food was decent, but due to the filthiness of the restaurant I won't be going back. Being from Chicago Ihop was always thee place to go which is why were were happy to find this location when we moved to Michigan. Yesturday was my 4th time coming to this restaurant & it will be my last. Our waiter was getting yelled at and chastised by another staff member the entire time. I don't know if she was a waitress or the manager but it was just NOT a good look. When I added eggs & sausages to my order & he went over to her she literally yelled out "I'm not doing it, I'm not putting it in I need a 10min noticed". She was nice to us but throughout our time there we kept hearing her fuss at him out loud. I get that she was pregnant & her hormones were probably outta whack that day but Ihop is a BUSINESS!! And that negativity made me sick to my stomach and I couldn't enjoy the food. Also their bathrooms are completely disgusting. This isn't the first time I noticed it but this time there was dried up blood running down the toilet seat. Very poor service place was not busy and still got very poor service, had a side salad that came out with meal and my dressing wasn't delivered to table until everyone was done. By far the worst restaurant experience EVER!!!!!! Service was SLOW coffee was cold and old . By the time our food arrived it was cold and or not completely cooked. Was at this IHOP today and was not impressed. Everything was dirty from the glass front doors to the coffee pot the waiter left on our table. Waited several minutes to be acknowledged at the door even though place was quite empty. Staff was standing around laughing and joking quite loudly. Ordered bananas foster brioche french toast which came out covered in gravy. Yep, gravy. Not the sauce that should have been on it. Sent it back and did not want another order of anything. We just left there totally disgusted with all the flies we were trying to keep out of our food. There were large and small flies. We told the staff and they were indifferent about it. We won't be stepping back in the place again. Apparently sanitation isn't a concern for them and makes us wonder what sanitation practices they use preparing the food. read more

I've been here several times and many times in years past. The service here has declined greatly and this restaurant really needs to either hire better employees or train their employees better. Many of the employees are very unprofessional and should act more appropriate. However I must give them credit because they work very hard when it gets busy. The food was not bad, however when I got my hot chocolate, it was cold. Isn't hot chocolate supposed to be hot? At the end the waitress mixed up the bill with someone else and so my friend wound up paying less for his meal. Can't complain about that one, however this restaurant really needs to be more efficient and organized at that because it has happened a few times. The floors are also usually never clean and the place really could be much warmer in the winter. Not a good atmosphere but okay service. The food was good. The person who seated us never told us our servers name and when he came to our table he didn't tell us his name either, while taking our order he stopped listening to us and took his cell phone out of his apron and read a text that he had gotten then texted a reply back then he finished taking our order but we had to correct him three times. When he brought out our food he had to go back twice because he forgot to bring out the food for everyone in our party of 4, he never asked how the food was or if we wanted drink refills it was like he just disappeared after bring us our food. We asked the waitress who was at the computer putting in an order if she could find our sever so we could get drink refills she asked what we were drinking and she brought us our refills. Our server finally came back to our table but only to bring us our bill he offered to take our bill to the register for us since we were paying with a card he asked us what amount we wanted to put down for a tip and that was when we said we would take the bill to the register. When we paid I took a couple of dollars out and pointed to the waitress and said I wanted it to go to her for getting our refills for us and then I pointed to our server and told the manager how he had not taken care of us. The next time we come here I hope we are not seated in his section again or we will be requesting a new section. read more
